What is Ticker Tagging?
Tickers in the chat room are automatically recognized and tagged. This helps tickers stand out and offers a suite of tools that you can use to research a specific ticker.
How to Use Ticker Tags (Click Features)
You can click on any ticker in the chat room to pull up a menu of options:
Here’s how the features work:
- Set Price Alert – Create a price alert for the ticker using the IU Price Alert Tool
- Ticker Watch – Create a “Ticker Watch” alert for the ticker using the IU Ticker Watch Tool
- Add to Watch List – Add the ticker to your IU Watch List
- Search History/Logs – Search for any mention of the ticker in the IU chat logs
- Search Twitter – Search for any mention of the ticker on Twitter
- Float Data – Show the stock’s float data in the chat room (only viewable to you)
- News – View the latest news for the ticker using the IU Stock News Tool
- SEC Filings – View the latest filings for the stock using the IU SEC Filings Tool
