What is the HOD/LOD Top Hits Scanner?
The HOD/LOD Top Hits Scanner tracks stocks that are rapidly setting new highs or lows. This tool offers a great way to summarize/simplify the results of our HOD Scanner and LOD Scanner.
The tool displays the top 10 stocks hitting the HOD and LOD scanners in a short timeframe.
How Do I Access the HOD/LOD Top Hits Scanner?
The HOD/LOD Top Hits Scanner can be accessed from the scanner dropdown menu in the IU Momentum Chat Room (Select “HOD/LOD Top Hits Scanner”).
HOD/LOD Top Hits Scanner Components
- Top 10 HOD Hits – Shows the top 10 HOD hits with the ticker symbol and number of hits
- Top 10 LOD Hits – Shows the top 10 LOD hits with the ticker symbol and number of hits
- Top Hits Log – A log of stocks hitting the scanner, listed with the ticker, time, and number of hits (green for HOD and red for LOD)
- Audio Alert Settings – Turn audio alerts on/off and adjust the audio volume
- Hide/Display Top Hits Log – Hide or display the top hits log (component #3)
- Settings – Access additional settings
You may click on any of the tickers in the results to access recent news for that ticker to better understand why it may be moving.
HOD/LOD Top Hits Scanner Audio Alerts
Audio Alerts can be turned on/off by clicking on the Speaker Icon. Set the volume to your desired level of set it to 0 to turn off the audio alerts.
Audio Alerts will provide a voice alert when there are significant updates to the scanner results.
- 20+ Hits – Female Voice Alert
- 50+ Hits – Male Voice Alert
- 100+ Alerts – Siren Alert
HOD/LOD Top Hits Scanner Filters
You can set custom filters for the HOD/LOD Top Hits Scanner results by clicking on the Settings Icon and selecting Filters.
You may set different filter criteria for different market sessions, including:
- Pre-Market and After Hours
- First 15 Minutes After Market Open
- 9:45AM – 4PM EST
The following filters are available:
- Minimum Price – The minimum price of stocks to include in results
- Maximum Price – The maximum price of stocks to include in results
- Minimum Volume – The minimum volume of stocks to include in results
- Minimum hits to show box – The minimum number of HOD/LOD hits required to include a stock in results
