[Apr 9, 2012 7:01:22 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive skipped last night since Easter and all that jazz figured it’d be best just to do it Monday night

[Apr 9, 2012 7:01:27 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive more focused, less full etc

[Apr 9, 2012 7:01:44 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I’ll go over the questions you guys sent in then open it up like usual

[Apr 9, 2012 7:02:10 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and as always

[Apr 9, 2012 7:02:16 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive stay on topic for each question

[Apr 9, 2012 7:02:22 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive don’t ask me about MSFT when we’re talking about something else

[Apr 9, 2012 7:02:36 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive QUESTION: I could really use some help with scanning. Not the intraday scans the brokers mostly have defaults for those, but the scans that you do in the evenings I could use a lot of schooling on. The scans section has numerous broken links etc. and I’d like some help with it

[Apr 9, 2012 7:03:04 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I use finviz.com I used to use stockhouse but it stopped working

[Apr 9, 2012 7:03:17 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive This is exactly what I look at

[Apr 9, 2012 7:03:18 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive http://bit.ly/Ho8F4M

[Apr 9, 2012 7:03:36 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive each night along with my prior nights scans and big plays we had in chat, I will take a quick glimpse of a week in review on the scans

[Apr 9, 2012 7:03:46 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive see if anything I was wrong on is setting up again

[Apr 9, 2012 7:03:55 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive see if anything I was right on is over extended and ready for short

[Apr 9, 2012 7:03:56 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive etc

[Apr 9, 2012 7:04:01 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive then compile a list

[Apr 9, 2012 7:04:28 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive one other tid bit … in the AMs I take my scan – send in my borrow request

[Apr 9, 2012 7:04:44 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive that’s why I get mad when everyone says “uh shoot I don’t have borrows” etc at 9:45AM

[Apr 9, 2012 7:04:55 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive when you had all morning to figure that out and actually find borrows

[Apr 9, 2012 7:05:04 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive it’s about coming to the market and being prepared

[Apr 9, 2012 7:05:30 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive all brokers have ability to locate – except IB … so if you’re not or don’t know how …. contact them and ask them

[Apr 9, 2012 7:05:49 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive to finish off the question – Muddys scans are listed on the scanner set up page

[Apr 9, 2012 7:05:56 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive he uses stock fetcher which I believe is like $9 bucks a month

[Apr 9, 2012 7:06:08 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive all the details are shown as to what exactly he’s scanning for

[Apr 9, 2012 7:06:20 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive but in a nutshell we both are interested in STOCKS THAT HAVE MOVED

[Apr 9, 2012 7:06:38 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive everyone always says “Why its already up, why not get in before the move?”

[Apr 9, 2012 7:07:03 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive What if you buy and it goes down? …. we trade HIGH DAILY RANGERS stocks with trends

[Apr 9, 2012 7:07:16 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive any questions regarding scans?

[Apr 9, 2012 7:07:22 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive nightly scans

[Apr 9, 2012 7:07:36 PM EDT]      Sullock  Do you use the Free or Premium Finviz?

[Apr 9, 2012 7:08:07 PM EDT]      seanatlargo        do you have any experince with trade ideas?

[Apr 9, 2012 7:08:11 PM EDT]      seanatlargo        trade ideas.com

[Apr 9, 2012 7:08:12 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive (Apr 09-19:03) InvestorsLive: This is exactly what I look at (Apr 09-19:03) InvestorsLive: http://bit.ly/Ho8F4M

[Apr 9, 2012 7:08:26 PM EDT]      -war-     it works

[Apr 9, 2012 7:08:26 PM EDT]      seanatlargo        http://www.trade-ideas.com/

[Apr 9, 2012 7:08:37 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive oh ok no Sullock

[Apr 9, 2012 7:08:39 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I use what I posted

[Apr 9, 2012 7:08:48 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive trade ideas I am aware of but do not use

[Apr 9, 2012 7:08:51 PM EDT]      ettothree            do you call your broker every morning for borrows or do you send it in via chat? what have you found is most effective?

[Apr 9, 2012 7:09:12 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive ettothree – its all done online, you can cally our broker and find out what method works best for you

[Apr 9, 2012 7:09:20 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive some you have to call I think karen said w/ Fidelity

[Apr 9, 2012 7:09:30 PM EDT]      ettothree            ok thanks

[Apr 9, 2012 7:09:34 PM EDT]      blackstar              Nate, which broker would you recommend for the fastest (buy) fills on OTC’s?

[Apr 9, 2012 7:09:39 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive that’s up to you, whatever is effective – point is come to the market prepared

[Apr 9, 2012 7:09:47 PM EDT]      blackstar              I’m from Canada

[Apr 9, 2012 7:09:49 PM EDT]      ettothree            yup

[Apr 9, 2012 7:09:58 PM EDT]      norb nice             do you use any scanns from the platform you are trading on, and which platform program to you trade on regardless

[Apr 9, 2012 7:10:14 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive ok we’re going off subject and not related to scans – anyone with NITE is fine for a broker

[Apr 9, 2012 7:10:21 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive no, I use the scan above I stated and do exactly what I said

[Apr 9, 2012 7:10:24 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive guys – I tell you what I do

[Apr 9, 2012 7:10:27 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive if I do more I would tell you

[Apr 9, 2012 7:10:53 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive The only other scans I look at is the ones I’ve covered on EquityFeed scans on the EquityFeed seminar I will look at any that closed well and trading a lot of $$ from my green scan

[Apr 9, 2012 7:11:05 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive one thing about me is I am telling you what I use, so if I don’t tell you I don’t use it

[Apr 9, 2012 7:11:15 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive QUESTION: Were there any other Penny stock newsletters you look at these days except 3 mentioned (BDPS, PennyPic, APS/CrazyPenny) in March 2011 slides? Since looks like PennyPic/APS merged, looks like only down 2 good pumpers (BDPS, PennyPic/APS). I was also wondering if you knew/where I could find info on how often picks come out of BDPS and PennyPic? Looks like PennyPic is about every 3 months or so. I wanted make sure I gather good info so I can try catch next good pick out of these guys.

[Apr 9, 2012 7:11:52 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I subscribe to everything and everyone for example – if you do what I’ve been saying and always google ‘hot stocks’ and all that jazz then you’re on the SEFE promoters list … if you don’t … well you’re not

[Apr 9, 2012 7:12:07 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive but that’s up to you, that’s your edge – if you’re on it great … the more people you tell the less of an edge you have

[Apr 9, 2012 7:12:13 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive you do the homework, you do the work … you get paid

[Apr 9, 2012 7:12:29 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive but yes PennyPic/CrazyPenny combined … so those 2 are now 1

[Apr 9, 2012 7:12:32 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive BDPS … hit or miss

[Apr 9, 2012 7:12:35 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive but those are the big boys

[Apr 9, 2012 7:12:52 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive as far as finding out when they are coming they usually pre announce

[Apr 9, 2012 7:12:59 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and then I cancel all appointments until it comes

[Apr 9, 2012 7:13:11 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive RELATED QUESTION: What routes do you normally use when trading? Especially when you need quick fills on an APS/CrazyPenny kind of play. Is the SMART route ok with SpeedTrader or do you use specific routes?

[Apr 9, 2012 7:13:14 PM EDT]      sfk10     ah ok, thanks for info

[Apr 9, 2012 7:13:22 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive SMART = NITE usually on IB that’s where SMART is

[Apr 9, 2012 7:13:22 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive but

[Apr 9, 2012 7:13:32 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive Any broker with NITE …. schwab has good fills too… AUTO etc

[Apr 9, 2012 7:13:52 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive everyone complains says they need a new broker b/c they can’t get fills … no … you don’t it’s just locked

[Apr 9, 2012 7:14:05 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive everyone wants it on day 1 .. so you’re competing with everyone and their mom and grandparents

[Apr 9, 2012 7:14:23 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive very typical, but NITE/AUTO/UBSS usually best

[Apr 9, 2012 7:14:31 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive any questions related to THOSE 2 QUESTIONS (not off subject)

[Apr 9, 2012 7:14:52 PM EDT]      publicst                would you mind what you typically search?

[Apr 9, 2012 7:15:06 PM EDT]      publicst                just terms like “new penny stocks” “new site penny” etc?

[Apr 9, 2012 7:15:10 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive just like I said above “hot stocks” etc … make your own searches

[Apr 9, 2012 7:15:21 PM EDT]      publicst                ah anything you can think of huh

[Apr 9, 2012 7:15:24 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I don’t think people would search for ‘new site penny’

[Apr 9, 2012 7:15:31 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive think about how advertising works…

[Apr 9, 2012 7:15:39 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive they want to advertise on terms you’d type in

[Apr 9, 2012 7:15:54 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive if you were a mom or pop would you type in ‘new site penny’ to find hot penny stocks?

[Apr 9, 2012 7:16:03 PM EDT]      publicst                nah

[Apr 9, 2012 7:16:12 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive or would you likely type in “hot stocks” … “penny stocks” …. “top penny stocks to buy” etc

[Apr 9, 2012 7:16:24 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive if you ran the site, what terms would you want to market to

[Apr 9, 2012 7:16:31 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive think of it that way and have a blast.. get spammed and build your list

[Apr 9, 2012 7:16:35 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and over time you’ll gain your edge

[Apr 9, 2012 7:16:41 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive that’s best way to do it

[Apr 9, 2012 7:16:46 PM EDT]      Sullock  Best penny stocks is probably the most common SEO term

[Apr 9, 2012 7:16:54 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive QUESTION: how do you avoid being the guy that sells on the shake out candle and how do you chart these intraday, do you use the bodies of the candles or the wicks? I often sell too early only to see the stock do what I thought it was going to do 15 minutes later. I THINK I’m putting my stop just below intraday support but this continues to happen. Do you add .05-.10 to give yourself room?

[Apr 9, 2012 7:17:50 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive ANSWER: That’s why I use mental stops … and trade accordingly, hard stops can take you out on a quick market sell by someone only to watch it go right back up

[Apr 9, 2012 7:18:07 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive the key is to know your max pain … or max loss

[Apr 9, 2012 7:18:25 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive if you want to risk $200 on a trade … position yourself based on breaking the low

[Apr 9, 2012 7:18:31 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive trade size relative to that move

[Apr 9, 2012 7:18:40 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive then once you hav houses $$ add on .. and if u need a hard stop .. add a hard stop

[Apr 9, 2012 7:18:50 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I don’t use candles or wicks to judge

[Apr 9, 2012 7:18:58 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I base it on where the base is …

[Apr 9, 2012 7:19:01 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive where’s it been bottoming

[Apr 9, 2012 7:19:21 PM EDT]      norcaltodd          I’m ok witht he mental stops but find myself getting caught in a fast market

[Apr 9, 2012 7:19:26 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive just like on SHLD today with the top end at 61

[Apr 9, 2012 7:19:42 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive if it broke 61 it was going to rip .. so then u look at the lows for past 2 hours

[Apr 9, 2012 7:19:49 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and you need to give yourself .50ish risk

[Apr 9, 2012 7:20:10 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive fast market aka these thin stocks that have been going nuts lately?

[Apr 9, 2012 7:20:19 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive size should be cut down in low float thin stocks

[Apr 9, 2012 7:20:33 PM EDT]      norcaltodd          just fast movers $ wise

[Apr 9, 2012 7:20:35 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I’ve used this example before

[Apr 9, 2012 7:20:37 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive BVSN vs. MSFT

[Apr 9, 2012 7:20:42 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive range

[Apr 9, 2012 7:20:57 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive would u trade 1k BVSN and leave for the day or 1k MSFT and leave for the day?

[Apr 9, 2012 7:21:01 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive which one would give you a heart attack

[Apr 9, 2012 7:21:17 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive BVSN due to the range, so even tho same price .. its a low floater have to play w/ wider stop thus smaller position

[Apr 9, 2012 7:21:33 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive QUESTION: can you give any advice on account management for small accounts. For example a 5k account what would you use as your risk per trade ( 1-2% ? ) and daily stopping point. To add to that would you figure commissions into your risk giving that commiss may be 15-20 bucks when scaling in and out of plays.I know its relative to the person just curious as to how you would approach it.

[Apr 9, 2012 7:21:58 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive comission is a cost of doing business – make good trades and it doesn’t matter – no don’t fact that in focus on a good trade set up

[Apr 9, 2012 7:22:20 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive risking 1-2% of a 5k account is not going to get you anywhere

[Apr 9, 2012 7:22:33 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive unless you mean 1-2% gain or loss on a trade

[Apr 9, 2012 7:22:40 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive if that’s the case – i don’t trade that way

[Apr 9, 2012 7:22:45 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I trade based on risk

[Apr 9, 2012 7:23:19 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I look at chart, find prior lows, or prior top …. long perk off consolidation afte rits made a bottom and my entry and size is dependent on where it had bottomed out ie: SHLD todayu

[Apr 9, 2012 7:23:39 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive on a short side its related to over/under magnet areas or HODs

[Apr 9, 2012 7:24:04 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive many of these stocks I look to find out where they are hovering around where tehy always come back to … like DANG

[Apr 9, 2012 7:24:08 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive over/under over/under $11

[Apr 9, 2012 7:24:14 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive couldn’t hold .. started to fade off late day fade profit taking

[Apr 9, 2012 7:24:28 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive so try thinking in terms of X risk per share

[Apr 9, 2012 7:24:36 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive vs. x % of trade

[Apr 9, 2012 7:24:51 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive that’s where I find success and much easier to calculate and act

[Apr 9, 2012 7:25:05 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive QUESTION: when shorting over extended charts ie. CLNT, HEAT from last weak. Do you base your starting entry on even # and .50 points then see if they will hold or crack from there? And is the reason you short more than long because the risk vs reward is more in your favor when shorting these types of stocks.

[Apr 9, 2012 7:25:40 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive ANSWER: I am a better shorter – that’s why I short more … I have a much easier time finding the tops and can react very well to emotions on the other side … ie; parabolic moves

[Apr 9, 2012 7:25:56 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive CLNT HEAT etc … yes whole # marks play a huge role so do .50s

[Apr 9, 2012 7:26:04 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive like HEAT today or CLNT …. even

[Apr 9, 2012 7:26:21 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive once they got on a roll … psychologically everyone starts thinking the next whole #

[Apr 9, 2012 7:26:24 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive same thing in penny stock land

[Apr 9, 2012 7:26:30 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive all the subber idiots on the message board

[Apr 9, 2012 7:26:33 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive .007 … .008 ..

[Apr 9, 2012 7:26:37 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive everyone is .01 !!!!

[Apr 9, 2012 7:26:51 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive all the people that buy at .85-.90 cents for $1 break

[Apr 9, 2012 7:27:01 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive it’s just what makes a market … technical traders and psychologically break points

[Apr 9, 2012 7:27:44 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive QUESTION: Can you explain more about how you determine how much risk to play in a given trade/setup? I’ve noticed that sometimes you take a trade and you may risk $500-1k (trading SHLD) and other times you’ll risk/make $3k or greater (i.e. CLNT & NFEC on Thursday). Is it because certain setups have a higher probablility of success and you risk more money on those?

[Apr 9, 2012 7:28:07 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive ANSWER: You’ve gotta pull up the charts on some of these to really see the difference

[Apr 9, 2012 7:28:16 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive CLNT and NFEC ridic gains part of low float mania

[Apr 9, 2012 7:28:26 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive SHLD is just a normal trade normal risk etc …

[Apr 9, 2012 7:28:40 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive CLNT $2 to nearly $9 trades

[Apr 9, 2012 7:28:45 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive NFEC from $1 to $3 no pull backs

[Apr 9, 2012 7:29:18 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive so have to start in on both but once you have houses $$ ie: you start in small, might do one add …. but still need .50 range + against you

[Apr 9, 2012 7:29:19 PM EDT]      Rob O    are you taking questions related to the questions you’re answering now?

[Apr 9, 2012 7:29:42 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive once it starts going in the right direction and you’re up unrealzied you can add in …. and risk that unrealized portion

[Apr 9, 2012 7:29:53 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive Rob – QUESTION = QUESTION … aNSWER = ANSWER

[Apr 9, 2012 7:30:13 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive so yes on HUGE rangers I will risk more the higher they go .. like CLNT NFEC type trades

[Apr 9, 2012 7:30:42 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive but again you also have to go in with a mind set that you need to be willing to risk a lot more if you’re looking to trade it with any size

[Apr 9, 2012 7:30:54 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive also depends on how the day is going related to size

[Apr 9, 2012 7:31:04 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive as you know that Thursday I was up $16k before Easter

[Apr 9, 2012 7:31:11 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I think before NFEC I was up $11k

[Apr 9, 2012 7:31:22 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive so my position sizing got bigger risking houses $$ on the day

[Apr 9, 2012 7:31:37 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive so everything I do is relative to my day and relative to what the stock is … relative is a common word in what I do

[Apr 9, 2012 7:31:44 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive stops relative to the range ….

[Apr 9, 2012 7:31:48 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive risk is relative to the gains

[Apr 9, 2012 7:31:56 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive any questions related to this?

[Apr 9, 2012 7:32:09 PM EDT]      basher  yes

[Apr 9, 2012 7:32:18 PM EDT]      basher  so if you add in with houses $

[Apr 9, 2012 7:32:18 PM EDT]      Rob O    how are you able to see whether a stock is a low float or not in DAS?

[Apr 9, 2012 7:32:26 PM EDT]      basher  and then it goes against you

[Apr 9, 2012 7:32:40 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive Rob – low float = just look at trend look at CLNT NFEC HEAT volume and pricfe action vs. MSFT

[Apr 9, 2012 7:32:44 PM EDT]      basher  for instance, CLNE, would you stop out partial? or stop out at the hods

[Apr 9, 2012 7:32:58 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive low float = small market gap and trades thinly … very easy to see the way they trade typically $20-50m market caps

[Apr 9, 2012 7:33:04 PM EDT]      basher  like today you stopped out partial with DANG

[Apr 9, 2012 7:33:13 PM EDT]      Laura can I say something Nate regard l/f

[Apr 9, 2012 7:33:15 PM EDT]      Rob O    got it

[Apr 9, 2012 7:33:25 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive sure L then I’ll go back to basher

[Apr 9, 2012 7:33:37 PM EDT]      Laura I recco a scottrade account even if you don’t use it to trade, put in minimum

[Apr 9, 2012 7:33:52 PM EDT]      Laura their quote boxes show you shares/outstanding

[Apr 9, 2012 7:34:12 PM EDT]      Laura and that’s enough USUALLY to tell you if low float

[Apr 9, 2012 7:34:16 PM EDT]      Laura quick and easy

[Apr 9, 2012 7:34:20 PM EDT]      Breadwinner      thanks sir

[Apr 9, 2012 7:34:43 PM EDT]      Laura NFEC shows s/o 5,327,000

[Apr 9, 2012 7:34:52 PM EDT]      Laura so low float for sure

[Apr 9, 2012 7:35:31 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive basher – DANG was partial but had lost first round and kept some added and loss compounded was 2 1.5k losses together since it was the full batch …. but I let my partial size ride but it was in slow gear mode … when it turns into slow gear mode and starts inching slowly like I said in chat … the only way this is going to stop is a parabolic …………. well I reached my max pain no sense to risk more than that and turn it into a $5k-10k loss when I can come back from $2-3k

[Apr 9, 2012 7:35:44 PM EDT]      Rob O    I see it, Laura.. 5.3 shares oustanding for nfec, thanks

[Apr 9, 2012 7:35:54 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive Can stop out for partial for sure the whole point on partial is that you’re doubling or tripling your stop loss

[Apr 9, 2012 7:36:06 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive so if you’re typically going to risk .50 and you’re in 1/3 .. then you’re risking $1.50 …

[Apr 9, 2012 7:36:10 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive 1/2 then ur risking $1

[Apr 9, 2012 7:36:13 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive then full size ur risking .50

[Apr 9, 2012 7:36:29 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive so if ur partial never stops … like DANG

[Apr 9, 2012 7:36:57 PM EDT]      Breadwinner      dam. stopping out. what do you do when a trade goes against you immediately? im talking w/ in minutes? normally, i get out, waste a day trade, and bam, it comes right back. but it hits my threshold

[Apr 9, 2012 7:37:23 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive that’s the whole point in these high range stocks … I won’t NAIL the top everytime thus I scale in .. as I say in chat .. if you’re nto scaling in then don’t take the trades w/ me …. etc

[Apr 9, 2012 7:37:31 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive Bread I never really usually go in full, and I am patient

[Apr 9, 2012 7:37:43 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive bad trades happen but …. just look at chat logs today VALV

[Apr 9, 2012 7:37:46 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive was instantly wrong

[Apr 9, 2012 7:38:24 PM EDT]      basher  okay makes sense ::up

[Apr 9, 2012 7:38:26 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive QUESTION: I’ve looked elsewhere in the previous seminars and I’m sure this has been answered before but: What type of setup do you use and what type do you recommend for new (but serious) traders? Type/# of screens, size, computer etc. Thanks!

[Apr 9, 2012 7:38:48 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive Tip: once you add you can’t take away

[Apr 9, 2012 7:39:13 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I used to trade on a 15″ laptop .. .then added a monitor couldn’t trade on a laptop anymore then added 2 monitors could traded on 1 extra anymore etc

[Apr 9, 2012 7:39:20 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive so add slowly but it definately helps

[Apr 9, 2012 7:39:27 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive depends on brokers and how many things u want to watch and what you watch

[Apr 9, 2012 7:39:41 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I like charts different than some I like long and flat others like squares .. so can fit more

[Apr 9, 2012 7:39:52 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive at least 2 20s … is helpful

[Apr 9, 2012 7:40:02 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive computer anything … I got a gaming PC for trading

[Apr 9, 2012 7:40:14 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive just don’t watch porn on your trading PC or download illegal sh*t and it’ll work just fine

[Apr 9, 2012 7:40:35 PM EDT]      EWING1               And you are on a Dell? I’m wondering if a new Dell, but one that costs only 700-1000 would be sufficient in speed….

[Apr 9, 2012 7:40:51 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive alienware … any PC works really … I just multi task like a mofo

[Apr 9, 2012 7:40:53 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive so I like speed

[Apr 9, 2012 7:41:11 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive Focus on the more important – get used to a set up, get used to charts

[Apr 9, 2012 7:41:15 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive find out what works for you

[Apr 9, 2012 7:41:21 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive then focus on a PC if u want

[Apr 9, 2012 7:41:25 PM EDT]      EWING1               Ok, thanks.

[Apr 9, 2012 7:42:09 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive OK next 2 questions sorta related

[Apr 9, 2012 7:42:16 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive QUESTION: Will you ever do a video of a live day trading maybe commentating over it. Maybe on some of the questions that keep coming up over and over again. Reason why i ask is because im more visual friendly vs text friendly.

[Apr 9, 2012 7:42:39 PM EDT]      Sullock  Do you recommend charting software like TC2000?

[Apr 9, 2012 7:42:44 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive ANSWER: I want to, talk to tyguy about it every day at the gym … I think gotowebinar may be best not sure yet

[Apr 9, 2012 7:42:48 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive but

[Apr 9, 2012 7:43:18 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I need to practice its actually hard … I talk fast … cuz I assume lots of people understand what I’m talking about because I always chat with my trading friends who know what they are doing … so it takes time to get better at that

[Apr 9, 2012 7:43:29 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I want to do a daily video

[Apr 9, 2012 7:43:41 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I am making a few sites in here for a few members and then I am re doing my site

[Apr 9, 2012 7:44:04 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I will have a section like that .. I know I have promised lots but it will come – working on that and some other new features I never go back on my word

[Apr 9, 2012 7:44:10 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive just takes time, my #1 is trading unlike many sites

[Apr 9, 2012 7:44:41 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive but yes I want to do a channel or something with daily vids on a trade

[Apr 9, 2012 7:44:43 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive good or bad

[Apr 9, 2012 7:44:45 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive what to take from it

[Apr 9, 2012 7:44:47 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive or a mail bag

[Apr 9, 2012 7:44:49 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive like send in questions

[Apr 9, 2012 7:44:53 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and I pick one per week for Sunday

[Apr 9, 2012 7:44:55 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive or like 3

[Apr 9, 2012 7:45:01 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I think it’d be a lot of fun

[Apr 9, 2012 7:45:08 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive QUESTION: Hi Nate, I was wondering if it is possible to have all your trades posted for the day live on the side of the page including the (open or closed ones), that will clear a lot of confusions for the members as when and what positions you have entered or exited. I have seen that with some daytrading groups, a sound alert also helps when you make a trade. Sometimes we get logged out or have to leave for a few minutes and it is hard to follow when we’re back with all the other posts show up on the chat.

[Apr 9, 2012 7:46:06 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive ANSWER: discsused this before but it does scare me considering I have people who PM me and if I am long or short something they just do it blind

[Apr 9, 2012 7:46:12 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and dont even understand what or why

[Apr 9, 2012 7:46:19 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive they just say ok he is so I should be

[Apr 9, 2012 7:46:31 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive ideally this is what I want in the next few months

[Apr 9, 2012 7:46:41 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I tab w/ commentary ie: warnings on trades I am making

[Apr 9, 2012 7:46:45 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive a tab*

[Apr 9, 2012 7:46:59 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive new chat – I have to figure something out the other one I figured would be done by now

[Apr 9, 2012 7:47:04 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive but I think taking the trial away will help

[Apr 9, 2012 7:47:26 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive another option to perhaps stream one of my monitors with my scans … HOD list equityfeed etc

[Apr 9, 2012 7:47:38 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive looking into that and

[Apr 9, 2012 7:47:59 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive some type of webinar thing like gotowebinar that would allow charts to be put up and draw on them

[Apr 9, 2012 7:48:08 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive but … as far as positions window

[Apr 9, 2012 7:48:19 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive as I said before I call ’em out in chat … if ur ever curious just ask

[Apr 9, 2012 7:48:35 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I said “I trade for a living unlike some sites” because it does take a toll

[Apr 9, 2012 7:48:46 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I can either trade live and post my trades live

[Apr 9, 2012 7:49:11 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive or have u sit behind my entire thing and %%% up and deal w/ one million PMs are u gonig to cover wait ur down $1k … werent u going to stop at this price but u let it go .05 more? whats going on etc

[Apr 9, 2012 7:49:17 PM EDT]      Sullock  email alerts might be the easiest thing from a web developer perspective that trigger on a keyword from your end.

[Apr 9, 2012 7:49:25 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and for me … trading is #1 I don’t like back seat drivers

[Apr 9, 2012 7:49:44 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I trade, I tell u what I do I’m hoenst and if ever any questions I’m more than willing to help

[Apr 9, 2012 7:49:49 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive if people see I am trading 5k or 20k shares

[Apr 9, 2012 7:50:03 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive than they will think ‘hey nates trading 20k shares so he must REALLY BELIEVE’

[Apr 9, 2012 7:50:08 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive so “I’m going in huge too”

[Apr 9, 2012 7:50:18 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and then I get out … lose 2k and then you blow up

[Apr 9, 2012 7:54:49 PM EDT]      mtcutbow           Correct me if I am wrong, but…. That is one of the reasons you do not charge more for this service, not a hand holding service, provides access to top traders with good trade ideas.

[Apr 9, 2012 7:54:50 PM EDT]      torntech              Hey I was wondering when a stock pops, how do you know whether it’ll continue to climb or fall back down? Because a lot of the times it pops, and I see you buy it and it goes up. But the one time I decide to buy, it fell down immidatly. Any way to predict it?

[Apr 9, 2012 7:55:17 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive mtcutbow – I don’t know?

[Apr 9, 2012 8:03:14 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive re: SHLD

[Apr 9, 2012 8:03:33 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive torntech – SureTrader is same as SpeedTrader … unless you’re looking for OTCs or soemthing they’ve been great

[Apr 9, 2012 8:03:46 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive as I’ve said you need multiple brokerages if you’re going to be a big shorter

[Apr 9, 2012 8:03:51 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive different borrow list different availability

[Apr 9, 2012 8:04:01 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive Speed has been fantastic for quite some time

[Apr 9, 2012 8:04:34 PM EDT]      yanks080602      for Speed do you have to contact them premarket to reserve?

[Apr 9, 2012 8:06:13 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive yep you can

[Apr 9, 2012 8:08:51 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive QUESTION: Can you explain more about how you determine how much risk to play in a given trade/setup? I’ve noticed that sometimes you take a trade and you may risk $500-1k (trading SHLD) and other times you’ll risk/make $3k or greater (i.e. CLNT & NFEC on Thursday). Is it because certain setups have a higher probablility of success and you risk more money on those?

[Apr 9, 2012 8:08:52 PM EDT]      blackstar              Thanks a lot for your insight IL

[Apr 9, 2012 8:08:57 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive QUESTION: Last Thursday there were low float runners that Muddy pointed out that fit the bill: more than 2-3% gain in pre, were on momo watch list night before, large vol spike within 30-45 min after open, and which were getting “jiggy” due to high vol coming in. I played CREG, but there was also NFEC and GPRC, all Chinese low floaters and listed on AMEX. Are those parameters consistent in finding those early runners and did I miss anything, and could same parameters apply to other exchanges or just AMEX?

[Apr 9, 2012 8:12:35 PM EDT]      Muddy yes parameters are consistant on all exchanges, just that AMEX stocks over the years seem to not move out of the gate after a gappage giving a pretty easy entry before a good run

[Apr 9, 2012 8:13:54 PM EDT]      Laura here’s the seminar on how Mudd trades his stuff http://www.investorsunderground.com/2010/06/14/Muddy-q-and-a-seminar-adrs-pre-list-and-more/
