[Sep 5, 2011 8:00:07 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive what’s up all

[Sep 5, 2011 8:00:14 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive nice forced weekend

[Sep 5, 2011 8:00:20 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive long weekend that is

[Sep 5, 2011 8:00:27 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive since I don’t take days off 🙂

[Sep 5, 2011 8:00:44 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive the futures absolutely getting smashed

[Sep 5, 2011 8:00:52 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive should be a big gap down and interesting day tomorrow

[Sep 5, 2011 8:00:59 PM EDT]      splendores         Europe crash all over

[Sep 5, 2011 8:01:01 PM EDT]      rude1    ya looks like big tank tomorrow….

[Sep 5, 2011 8:01:15 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive well already big tank, just curious where we open

[Sep 5, 2011 8:01:20 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive anyway – some questions will cover those

[Sep 5, 2011 8:01:22 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive then open it up

[Sep 5, 2011 8:01:48 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I’ll answer the simple answers first than move on to the more complex

[Sep 5, 2011 8:01:55 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive to start – mostly pumper questions

[Sep 5, 2011 8:02:06 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive ie: CRWV types

[Sep 5, 2011 8:02:22 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive QUESTION: Crazypenny and Awsomepenny are the same group?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:02:29 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive QUESTION: Can you explain the difference between “back fill” and “selling paper”?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:02:54 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive yes, awesome penny is same as crazy and many others that all send the same email

[Sep 5, 2011 8:03:10 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive they haven’t really added websites, but rather split their list and always on the top of google searches

[Sep 5, 2011 8:03:23 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive unlike pennypic and co who continually adds websites to their aresenal

[Sep 5, 2011 8:03:40 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive arsenal*

[Sep 5, 2011 8:03:56 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive usually putting new sites first and then send the rest of the sites out after

[Sep 5, 2011 8:04:14 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive sorta like using the new leads … and getting them gains with the old list… and then rotate

[Sep 5, 2011 8:04:32 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive so the weak list gets stronger … and stronger list .. goes last .. etc keeps rotating

[Sep 5, 2011 8:04:54 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive but as far as ‘what are the sites’ .. ‘how many are there’ etc.. just keep googling, daily, weekly, monthly

[Sep 5, 2011 8:05:05 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive that’s your own edge if you want it … you can get it

[Sep 5, 2011 8:05:19 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive put it together over time

[Sep 5, 2011 8:05:31 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive secondly .. backfilling/selling paper etc

[Sep 5, 2011 8:05:44 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive backfilling are those huge 1m + prints u see.. or 500k 500k 500k

[Sep 5, 2011 8:06:02 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive all at once… usually from my convos with market makers and just generally watching

[Sep 5, 2011 8:06:22 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive over time you’ll see certain MMs heavy on the offer selling loads, then a pull back

[Sep 5, 2011 8:06:32 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and the same MMs on the bid

[Sep 5, 2011 8:06:48 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive then a bunch of crosses down

[Sep 5, 2011 8:07:17 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive ie: one conspiracy could be that they short the stock and then cover on those back fills

[Sep 5, 2011 8:07:23 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and use the cash to support the trend of the stock

[Sep 5, 2011 8:07:25 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and push it higher

[Sep 5, 2011 8:07:35 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive but that’s what I mean by back fills

[Sep 5, 2011 8:07:53 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and selling paper just refers to .. whomever has paid (third party) obviously isn’t paying $$ just for the good of man kind

[Sep 5, 2011 8:08:01 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive they are paying $$ because they want to get a return on their $

[Sep 5, 2011 8:08:18 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive if they pay $1m .. I don’t think I’d pay $1m to only make $100k

[Sep 5, 2011 8:08:28 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive too much risk for $100k .. so then u get huge liquidation like CRWV

[Sep 5, 2011 8:08:38 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive are there any questions on this?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:08:45 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive one other thing to note is … on the suggested seminars

[Sep 5, 2011 8:08:50 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I list the ones I pay attention to

[Sep 5, 2011 8:09:00 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive just because a stock is pumped it doesn’t mean I am interested

[Sep 5, 2011 8:09:08 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive what matters is .. do they create momentum?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:09:15 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive do they increase liqudiity to the millions?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:09:24 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive if so, then .. sweet I’m interested

[Sep 5, 2011 8:09:34 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive if not, who cares – possible short

[Sep 5, 2011 8:09:51 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive any questions on those topics?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:10:28 PM EDT]      rude1    why is liquidity in the millions so important?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:10:51 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I trade liquid pumps

[Sep 5, 2011 8:10:53 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive not illiquid

[Sep 5, 2011 8:11:18 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive just luquidity is all

[Sep 5, 2011 8:11:45 PM EDT]      constantin145    how is the entry and exit strategy

[Sep 5, 2011 8:11:53 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive what?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:11:58 PM EDT]      constantin145    on the pumps

[Sep 5, 2011 8:12:31 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive the three I mention on the suggested seminars is the ones I ‘trust’ (not that u should .. at all) but once your familiar with them and how they react

[Sep 5, 2011 8:12:41 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and normally if I am as early as I normally am .. I will enter right away

[Sep 5, 2011 8:12:48 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive otherwise I will just enter/exit based on how they set up

[Sep 5, 2011 8:12:52 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and chart patterns we cover

[Sep 5, 2011 8:13:03 PM EDT]      phatboyz             pump stocks and real stock is there difference if both liquid ?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:13:13 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive of course

[Sep 5, 2011 8:13:17 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive what do pumps end in?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:13:29 PM EDT]      rude1    dump

[Sep 5, 2011 8:13:34 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive there ya go

[Sep 5, 2011 8:13:35 PM EDT]      phatboyz             got it

[Sep 5, 2011 8:14:09 PM EDT]      seventhcereal   is it me or do pumps not dump ina straight line anymore, they tend to downtrend slowly with many fakeouts like LBAS, JAMN

[Sep 5, 2011 8:14:32 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive LBAS and JAMN are no longer on the way up

[Sep 5, 2011 8:14:35 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive they are the back side of the pump

[Sep 5, 2011 8:14:42 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive alerady had nice runs, and broke out

[Sep 5, 2011 8:14:54 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I usually play the first drop after the run up

[Sep 5, 2011 8:15:02 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and then let it consolidate and trend without me

[Sep 5, 2011 8:15:08 PM EDT]      seventhcereal   i’m expecting rashes like CRWV

[Sep 5, 2011 8:15:10 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive no sense trying to guess – plays done, move on ..

[Sep 5, 2011 8:15:23 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive any further questions on this topic guys?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:15:43 PM EDT]      sbbi98   how to tell some (new) sites belong to the “trusted”?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:15:52 PM EDT]      PrivatePhilco      So if you miss the first part of the Dump you won’t play to try to get the final phase of the dump?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:16:18 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive sbbi – you can review them over time and see how they do, nothing has changed since the ones suggested

[Sep 5, 2011 8:16:28 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive until the next big bad promoter comes out we’ll just wait and see

[Sep 5, 2011 8:16:56 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive PrivatePhil – sure I’ll play if they remain liquid and on the way up, but after they dump and do their intiial bounce – no real sense to play after that

[Sep 5, 2011 8:17:07 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive LBAS whats going to happen? Breakout? probably not? tank … more likely

[Sep 5, 2011 8:17:12 PM EDT]      magagoba           Is the pump and dump on the same day?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:17:28 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive magagoba – just pull up charts of any we suggested

[Sep 5, 2011 8:17:50 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive people think that a pump and dump is a pump and hten the day it comes down that they are ‘dumping’ it …

[Sep 5, 2011 8:17:58 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive many fail to realize on day 1 they are dumping….

[Sep 5, 2011 8:18:02 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive where else do the shares come from

[Sep 5, 2011 8:18:18 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive all it is .. is a point where people are up.. and start to take profits

[Sep 5, 2011 8:18:41 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive then it pulls back … people panic .. start hitting bids, then freak out and then all hit the bids and dumps down

[Sep 5, 2011 8:18:49 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive its not “omg the newsletter people are dumping their shares”

[Sep 5, 2011 8:19:18 PM EDT]      phatboyz             are pump stocks act the same way like tommorrow?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:19:24 PM EDT]      constantin145    if insiders have restricted shares how can they dump any time

[Sep 5, 2011 8:19:35 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive Not sure what that means phatboyz

[Sep 5, 2011 8:19:46 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive constantin – u just said they are restricted

[Sep 5, 2011 8:19:48 PM EDT]      phatboyz             big drops the futures

[Sep 5, 2011 8:20:07 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive well you’ve been around u know that OTCs dont’ have a correlation w/ the underlying market

[Sep 5, 2011 8:20:13 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive same answer

[Sep 5, 2011 8:20:20 PM EDT]      phatboyz             ty

[Sep 5, 2011 8:20:23 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive any further questions on this topic b4 I move on?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:21:24 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive QUESTION: You took CEDC long on Friday on the r/g move, but then that initial move failed. One of my biggest weaknesses is that I would see that move fail and then bail on it, what was your mental stop point on that one?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:22:00 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive We’re in a market that is pretty crazy right now – the range is huge …. you need to position yourself so that you’re not going to make it or break it within a dime

[Sep 5, 2011 8:22:44 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive CEDC was perfect r/g action – you can always anticipate it with a partial size

[Sep 5, 2011 8:22:56 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive let it pull some and then re-test IF it holds trend

[Sep 5, 2011 8:23:03 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive then add on second test and hold of green

[Sep 5, 2011 8:24:13 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/charts/big.chart?nosettings=1&symb=cedc&uf=0&type=2&size=2&sid=115723&style=320&freq=9&time=1&rand=1903979506&compidx=aaaaa%3a0&ma=0&maval=9&lf=1&lf2=0&lf3=0&height=335&width=579&mocktick=1

[Sep 5, 2011 8:24:37 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive that area 6.50

[Sep 5, 2011 8:24:49 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive might take once or twice to get over … but what you need to do is base ur entry and ur size off the prior support

[Sep 5, 2011 8:24:52 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive so it can GO BACK and test it

[Sep 5, 2011 8:24:55 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive without stopping u out

[Sep 5, 2011 8:25:03 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive for example

[Sep 5, 2011 8:25:17 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive if it gaps down… sideways … and makes some flat line support 6.35-6.40

[Sep 5, 2011 8:25:27 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and r/g is 6.52

[Sep 5, 2011 8:25:52 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive so you go in 1/2 size anticipating red to green off 6.40s perk

[Sep 5, 2011 8:26:12 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive so prob in 6.45 .. ur risk is bottom of the channel where it was breaking higher off of

[Sep 5, 2011 8:26:33 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive if you can’t let it rest green and it pulls back .05

[Sep 5, 2011 8:26:36 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and you’re stopping out ..

[Sep 5, 2011 8:26:39 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive you’re in too big

[Sep 5, 2011 8:26:47 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive give your trade idea a chance

[Sep 5, 2011 8:27:02 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive any questions on that trade?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:27:20 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive we had the text book long in chat Friday and then the short over/under $7s later in day – lost a lil on that but ran outta time

[Sep 5, 2011 8:27:34 PM EDT]      phatboyz             so where would be a good stops on that?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:27:45 PM EDT]      constantin145    which indicators and time frames that we are supposed to use

[Sep 5, 2011 8:28:22 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive constantin145- I’d really suggest to review the new members page I requested all members to review prior to tonights seminar – it will help you out a lot with many of the questions all who took the time to review it already know

[Sep 5, 2011 8:28:48 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive phatboyz – you size in accordinly – if you’re trading off the support of 6.35-6.40 area and buying at 6.45

[Sep 5, 2011 8:29:04 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive size in accordingly based on the risk if that bottom of the channel ends .. .30 range

[Sep 5, 2011 8:29:19 PM EDT]      phatboyz             got it ty

[Sep 5, 2011 8:29:22 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive 6.35 mental stop for me

[Sep 5, 2011 8:29:26 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive doesn’t mean ‘hard stop’

[Sep 5, 2011 8:29:37 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive means 6.29-6.30 prob give it a chance

[Sep 5, 2011 8:30:14 PM EDT]      seventhcereal   what happens if 6.30 breaks but catches support at 6.26?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:30:21 PM EDT]      seventhcereal   big bid on L2

[Sep 5, 2011 8:30:40 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I use 1 min time frame personally and familiar with 3-6 month charts before trading the stocks constantin – but again I suggest reviewing those seminars/new member page it will only help u and get you caught up to speed

[Sep 5, 2011 8:30:51 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive then I stopped out and can always re buy right seventh?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:31:21 PM EDT]      seventhcereal   ok thanks that answer helps me immensely going forward 🙂

[Sep 5, 2011 8:31:24 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive trading is about having a plan and sticking to it … or get beat

[Sep 5, 2011 8:31:38 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive one thing you can control is your losses

[Sep 5, 2011 8:31:45 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive if you don’t – you won’t make it

[Sep 5, 2011 8:32:00 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive right now we’re in a very volatile market and I know many people got and will get creamed who don’t stick to the plan

[Sep 5, 2011 8:32:19 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive many times we have an absolutely fantastic long … and 1 hour later its the best short in all of wall street

[Sep 5, 2011 8:32:22 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive that’s just the market we are in

[Sep 5, 2011 8:32:58 PM EDT]      constantin145    Ty i m looking at it right now

[Sep 5, 2011 8:33:13 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive QUESTION: I currently have a hard time holding profits. If I’m up 3 or 5% I tend to take my profits as soon as things start getting difficult. But it seems to me that if you can cut all your losses and try to avoid turning those 3% or %5 gains into losses, there will usually be 1 or 2 trades a month that end up running multiple dollars that can turn into 20%+ trades. The one that burns me the most recently is $SIG which I caught off the dip after earnings and only made half a point on. Can anyone comment from experience?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:33:46 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive simple

[Sep 5, 2011 8:33:51 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive take 1/2 off !

[Sep 5, 2011 8:33:56 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive lock in some .. ride rest

[Sep 5, 2011 8:34:18 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I was wrong on SPRD

[Sep 5, 2011 8:34:25 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive bought some off the dip had added in

[Sep 5, 2011 8:34:35 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive but wasn’t doing what I thought, so I sold 1/2 back down to 1/2 size

[Sep 5, 2011 8:35:14 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive that also allowed me to add back in once it looked good

[Sep 5, 2011 8:35:18 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive but again didnt break out

[Sep 5, 2011 8:35:24 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive same idea on way up

[Sep 5, 2011 8:35:30 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive if I was up some …

[Sep 5, 2011 8:35:34 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive you always see me locking in 1/2

[Sep 5, 2011 8:35:44 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I have a hard time with patience… I started trading in college …

[Sep 5, 2011 8:35:46 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive between classes

[Sep 5, 2011 8:35:54 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and was always a smash and grab trader

[Sep 5, 2011 8:36:05 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive same thing on shorts,….. nail the short… take 1/2 off

[Sep 5, 2011 8:36:17 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive ride rest ..

[Sep 5, 2011 8:36:40 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive that helps u stay in a trade u want to be in

[Sep 5, 2011 8:36:51 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive if you’re long 7.50 … and goes to 7.75 right away

[Sep 5, 2011 8:37:01 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive take 1/2 off and now it can go to 7.25 b4 u break even

[Sep 5, 2011 8:37:08 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive or… u can stop at even and still have a profit

[Sep 5, 2011 8:37:24 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive that’s the long story short on that question – any questions related

[Sep 5, 2011 8:37:28 PM EDT]      seventhcereal   do you need to sell your 1/2 above your average stop loss to maintain a good risk/reward?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:38:10 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I think you misread what I wrote

[Sep 5, 2011 8:38:26 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive not talking about stop losses – talking about staying in a trade longer if it’s working

[Sep 5, 2011 8:38:49 PM EDT]      seventhcereal   i mean long term, if you do 100 trades with a stop of 25 cents, and you sell 1/2 at 15 cents

[Sep 5, 2011 8:39:00 PM EDT]      seventhcereal   when you are wrong you take a full position loss on 25 but make profits on only half

[Sep 5, 2011 8:39:32 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive that’s just related to a trade like SPRD that I thought was going to get red/green and was biased for that long… was in full size … but wasn’t working

[Sep 5, 2011 8:39:38 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive so I went back to 1/2 size to let the trade work

[Sep 5, 2011 8:39:40 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive with a wider stop

[Sep 5, 2011 8:40:14 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and no – I would never suggest taking a full position when wrong

[Sep 5, 2011 8:40:21 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive that sounds like averaging down, that’s not a good thing

[Sep 5, 2011 8:40:35 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive it’s about being ok and able to be wrong, take the loss

[Sep 5, 2011 8:40:37 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive move on

[Sep 5, 2011 8:41:20 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive QUESTION: BID = 39.95 ASK = 40.00 Where do you put your limit order if you go LONG and where if you go SHORT? Would like to see opinions of more traders besides Muddy,Laura,il…. Thanks.

[Sep 5, 2011 8:41:44 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive it all depends on the type of trade, I’d suggest reviewing the types of set ups I trade on the new members page

[Sep 5, 2011 8:42:00 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive if it’s a parabolic trade I could waitng for partial size on the offer into a pop

[Sep 5, 2011 8:42:05 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I could just hit the bid

[Sep 5, 2011 8:42:23 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive it doesn’t really matter, but I always use a limit and trade based on what the stock gives

[Sep 5, 2011 8:42:37 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive the only difference is adding or removing liquidity

[Sep 5, 2011 8:42:54 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive if its 39.95 x 40 and you take the 40s you’re removing liquidity

[Sep 5, 2011 8:43:13 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive if it’s 39.95 x 40 and you put a bid at 39.97 and wait to get hit (not 100% that you get hit) you’d be adding liquidity

[Sep 5, 2011 8:43:40 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive it all comes down to .. do u want in the trade now? or you willing to wait

[Sep 5, 2011 8:43:42 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and that’s the answer

[Sep 5, 2011 8:43:56 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive for example if pennypic comes out with a play, are you going to sit the bid waiting to get in?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:44:06 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive or you going to take the offers for all you can get if it’s still early

[Sep 5, 2011 8:44:18 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive any further questions related?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:45:26 PM EDT]      bvocal   Is it the same answer for you long or short?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:45:46 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive right

[Sep 5, 2011 8:45:58 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive do u want in, or is it a trade u can wait and get your price?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:46:04 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive that’s what it comes down to, there isn’t a yes/no answer

[Sep 5, 2011 8:46:45 PM EDT]      bvocal   Maybe this is dumb, but how is hittng the ask removing liquidity

[Sep 5, 2011 8:46:56 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive you don’t hit the ask

[Sep 5, 2011 8:46:58 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive you take the ask

[Sep 5, 2011 8:47:14 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and if you’re taking the offer that’s removing

[Sep 5, 2011 8:47:16 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive just like if you hit the bid

[Sep 5, 2011 8:47:22 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive same thing

[Sep 5, 2011 8:47:54 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive QUESTION: I am a momo trader, so my style is to fire from the hip as opposed to being sniper precise on my entry. I prefer to average down, which is usually discouraged, but I say that my judgement in move is right until proven wrong, and that I just mistimed it. I usually get in near a consolidated point so my average down is usually right by a support level, which if fails is a clear sign to liquidate the entire position. Is this a sound strategy?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:47:55 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive Don’t think I articulated Q2 very well, I pretty much do your strategy in the PPT of waiting for consolidation and trading on the break. So I trade the break and if it fakes out I give it a chance to a nearby support usually within 1%, 2% max at which point I average down if it looks like it stabilizes.

[Sep 5, 2011 8:48:43 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I don’t think I’d really call it ‘averaging down’ like you’ve suggested if it’s part of the plan

[Sep 5, 2011 8:48:58 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive if you’re goal/idea is to long it… and you’re going in knowing that you prob will add some more to AVERAGE IN

[Sep 5, 2011 8:49:02 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive then .. that’s a plan too

[Sep 5, 2011 8:49:16 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive If it’s a plan… much like myself .. I often average in

[Sep 5, 2011 8:50:08 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive which brings another point

[Sep 5, 2011 8:50:24 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive in chat when I’m starting in … I hope/assume you guys read that I am starting in

[Sep 5, 2011 8:50:27 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and will post if I add

[Sep 5, 2011 8:50:38 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and if I am starting in that means …. I have a wider than normal stop

[Sep 5, 2011 8:50:50 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive ie: CEDC … if I start in 1/2 size it may be only 2k

[Sep 5, 2011 8:50:53 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive vs something like 5k shares

[Sep 5, 2011 8:50:59 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive so that I have .20-.25 room

[Sep 5, 2011 8:51:01 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive vs. just .10

[Sep 5, 2011 8:51:20 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive becuase I know the general play will be long, I think it’s gonna roll and keep going but I just want to have patience to hold it…

[Sep 5, 2011 8:51:35 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive so that IS important and especially with stocks ranging the way they have

[Sep 5, 2011 8:51:40 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive needs to be known

[Sep 5, 2011 8:51:58 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I haven’t done many ‘hit and kill’ type shorts … ie: full size in .. bang .. done and nail it

[Sep 5, 2011 8:52:22 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive any questions related?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:54:09 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive QUESTION: I’m a pure tech trader, do you guys find out the news and company calendar before trading a stock? I’m worried I might be a walking time-bomb getting into a stock that can get halted intraday or mega-gap overnight.

[Sep 5, 2011 8:54:19 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive yea before you over night a stock you should be aware

[Sep 5, 2011 8:54:22 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive of whats coming and/or pending

[Sep 5, 2011 8:54:29 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive if bios are popping … careful over night

[Sep 5, 2011 8:54:31 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive what if FDA?

[Sep 5, 2011 8:54:39 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive if stocks are up on take over rumor? careful short over night

[Sep 5, 2011 8:55:18 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive Have one last question – then will open it up I think Mud is close to being read by the looks of “Muddy is typing” ha

[Sep 5, 2011 8:55:21 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I am down with all of your above hypothetical questions… I am curious how you saw it coming esp times like at open when you shorted RIMM, for example (tues or wed). And with strategy, I am curious about how you place your trades (bid, ask, market…) and how you do that with, perhaps, having in mind how the trades you place impact the move your anticipating, like when you are selling short into a parabolic up move. And in general the anatomy of your trades. I know a lot of my questions are pretty basic, but I have never been taught any of this and it is all (fairly) new to me and your skill amazes me. Thanks.

[Sep 5, 2011 8:55:42 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive each day that the stock that has been up 14 days + in a row gaps higher and rips, any fast move to the upside … I am short biased

[Sep 5, 2011 8:56:01 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive just like all stocks on scan – the higher they go, the more biased I become into any parabolic action or big gaps

[Sep 5, 2011 8:56:13 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive once it starts speeding up dollars vs. just what it was doing prior days

[Sep 5, 2011 8:56:18 PM EDT]      Muddy to that question, i like this plan if and when you start to have the feel with it, for me it’s all about confidence, and yes if you can say you “mis timed” it all the better if you know when it’s a fail, no shame in that, just as long as the risk/reward you felt was worth the try cause the reward can be huge when you’re right

[Sep 5, 2011 8:56:19 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive ie: .50-.75 cents a day

[Sep 5, 2011 8:56:32 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive then $2+ moves on Thurs then +.50-.75 gap

[Sep 5, 2011 8:56:49 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive that’s the speed up relative to the former price action

[Sep 5, 2011 8:57:12 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive and that’s that – there was one more question re: EVGI I will respond on the seminar Q and A comment section

[Sep 5, 2011 8:57:18 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive all u Mudster

[Sep 5, 2011 8:58:13 PM EDT]      Muddy i shot from the hip all the time, right/wrong i always give it a shot if the reward is on my side, confidence i don’t lack at all, it comes from doing the same thing over and over over the years

[Sep 5, 2011 9:00:45 PM EDT]      phatboyz             does ur R/R changes when the market is so much up and down in one day ? R u more on risk side or reward side?

[Sep 5, 2011 9:00:46 PM EDT]      Muddy i like the more unknown stocks that pop up on the radar for the big reward factor, who knew ABCP, i didn’t but that’s the kind that can go nutz

[Sep 5, 2011 9:03:28 PM EDT]      Muddy i don’t think the market has much to do with it, except the # of stocks with higher reward might be better but the amount of reward on a single stock i don’t think is effected

[Sep 5, 2011 9:04:03 PM EDT]      phatboyz             got it ty

[Sep 5, 2011 9:04:53 PM EDT]      Muddy the momo/pre matches, this is still killing it

[Sep 5, 2011 9:06:15 PM EDT]      Muddy this is why i might have 60 or more momo watches…just to find 1 or 2 that have the higher bid prints before the open

[Sep 5, 2011 9:06:44 PM EDT]      Muddy its like you have a huge edge over other traders, imo

[Sep 5, 2011 9:06:57 PM EDT]      Muddy you know something they don’t

[Sep 5, 2011 9:10:35 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive any other questions guys?

[Sep 5, 2011 9:11:14 PM EDT]      bvocal   Just curious, ’cause you are so on top of it during the day, how many charts do you have up?

[Sep 5, 2011 9:11:22 PM EDT]      OTCtrader           what do you mean by “higher bid prints”? prints in pre-market higher than previous day close?

[Sep 5, 2011 9:11:41 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive 8-10 charts now that I have the 30s set up

[Sep 5, 2011 9:13:00 PM EDT]      Muddy the ones that are down big on open, if you keep them on watch all day you can see support many times, go in small at first then add on a pop, you get this feel it’s pretty easy money if you don’t get greedy

[Sep 5, 2011 9:13:40 PM EDT]      seventhcereal   what were you seeing in that XTXI short? It kind of hung up there for a while but i didnt think it would drop the way it did

[Sep 5, 2011 9:14:41 PM EDT]      Muddy OXGN was a perfect example last week

[Sep 5, 2011 9:15:15 PM EDT]      Muddy the range was great

[Sep 5, 2011 9:15:47 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive XTXI – take a look at chat logs seventh – I spelled it out in the chat room – text book over extension, let it top … took some 1/2 short and wanted a lower high to hold as the top, stop if HOD broke, held lower high and then added into the short

[Sep 5, 2011 9:15:55 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive review chat logs since I spelled out the trade as it happened

[Sep 5, 2011 9:18:13 PM EDT]      Laura Mudd plays the the pre gainers

[Sep 5, 2011 9:18:19 PM EDT]      bvocal   the XTXI 5 day chart has a bunch of textbook stuff in it…

[Sep 5, 2011 9:18:20 PM EDT]      Laura I like the pre losers

[Sep 5, 2011 9:18:47 PM EDT]      Laura Some of them so easy to read after a few minutes of trading

[Sep 5, 2011 9:19:21 PM EDT]      Laura I like the 1 min chart with the 13 sma which Derffie in here turned me on to

[Sep 5, 2011 9:19:53 PM EDT]      Laura FYI if you don’t know, Derf been here for a long time

[Sep 5, 2011 9:20:25 PM EDT]      Laura He makes his $200-300 in the morning and heads out for his day

[Sep 5, 2011 9:20:39 PM EDT]      Laura He is retired, just extra income for him.

[Sep 5, 2011 9:21:17 PM EDT]      futurebound      so, like Muddy said, just look for support to set up?

[Sep 5, 2011 9:22:05 PM EDT]      Laura 13 sma acts as supports on the one minute

[Sep 5, 2011 9:22:08 PM EDT]      PrivatePhilco      Laura You like the pre-market losers, are you short bias them? Or are you looking to open and bounce?

[Sep 5, 2011 9:22:20 PM EDT]      Laura Both PP

[Sep 5, 2011 9:22:45 PM EDT]      Muddy yes but before 1pm or so is the best on these big losers

[Sep 5, 2011 9:22:56 PM EDT]      PrivatePhilco      Mud Same as Lora? You are looking for both?

[Sep 5, 2011 9:22:57 PM EDT]      Laura often you can take them down for more, but yes, mostly I am watching for bounces

[Sep 5, 2011 9:23:36 PM EDT]      Muddy after that they tend to fall back but worse they become “dead” and lose their range

[Sep 5, 2011 9:23:38 PM EDT]      Laura Well Mudd and I trade together here.

[Sep 5, 2011 9:24:21 PM EDT]      Laura But he plays the smaller Naz stocks, I like the big losers on the big boards.

[Sep 5, 2011 9:24:36 PM EDT]      Laura $30-100 ones

[Sep 5, 2011 9:25:23 PM EDT]      Laura just give a few bucks on 100 shares

[Sep 5, 2011 9:26:59 PM EDT]      sbbi98   the pre losers you mentioned are in Nate’s pre list? or in your momentum list?

[Sep 5, 2011 9:27:11 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive Mud makes the pre list

[Sep 5, 2011 9:27:13 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I just post it

[Sep 5, 2011 9:27:21 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive Laura post the pre losers

[Sep 5, 2011 9:27:22 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive every AM

[Sep 5, 2011 9:27:26 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive Mud post pre gainers

[Sep 5, 2011 9:27:29 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive I merge them and post

[Sep 5, 2011 9:27:33 PM EDT]      Laura exact;u

[Sep 5, 2011 9:27:37 PM EDT]      Laura exactly

[Sep 5, 2011 9:27:56 PM EDT]      Laura only reason if I don’t post is cuz market doesn’t give me any

[Sep 5, 2011 9:28:11 PM EDT]      Laura if you’ll note, most are higher priced

[Sep 5, 2011 9:29:02 PM EDT]      sbbi98   i saw 2 or 3 paragraphs in momentum list. Do they mean anything?

[Sep 5, 2011 9:29:16 PM EDT]      PrivatePhilco      So now i see I was not sure on the pre market lists. They are just watches, none are specific plays at that point.

[Sep 5, 2011 9:29:20 PM EDT]      Muddy the momo list is the night before

[Sep 5, 2011 9:30:57 PM EDT]      Muddy they are the ones from the previous days that were UP the last trading day plus 14% in the last day and or the last 2 days

[Sep 5, 2011 9:31:42 PM EDT]      Muddy like GRO MCOX just keep going

[Sep 5, 2011 9:32:15 PM EDT]      PrivatePhilco      GRO tried a few times to break that 1.56 mark but i don’t know if it will

[Sep 5, 2011 9:32:17 PM EDT]      Muddy so you look for a reason to enter

[Sep 5, 2011 9:33:02 PM EDT]      Muddy jiggy quote box. r/g or higher pre print on the bid etc.

[Sep 5, 2011 9:33:32 PM EDT]      Laura sbbi, the paragraphs there mean nothing except that that are divided by 20 tickers, just to make it easier to enter into watchlists.

[Sep 5, 2011 9:33:57 PM EDT]      Laura and the fact that the first few lists may be the fails.

[Sep 5, 2011 9:34:56 PM EDT]      Muddy MCOX break of 2, small range 8/31, next trading day the bid prints higher before open…

[Sep 5, 2011 9:37:57 PM EDT]      sbbi98   sorry what is jiggy quote box?

[Sep 5, 2011 9:38:20 PM EDT]      Muddy if you go back MCOX started its fall right near 3 beginning of august, GRO around same time 1.58

[Sep 5, 2011 9:40:53 PM EDT]      Muddy jiggy is when the bid/ask SIZE on scott gets way jumpy without the price actually moving, yet…it works with Scott, thats one reason i keep Scott though i don’t trade with them, the other is their hod scroller

[Sep 5, 2011 9:42:15 PM EDT]      PrivatePhilco      Both GRO and MCOX are earnigs plays. Are you looking a news also? Or are you just playing with charts and movements?

[Sep 5, 2011 9:44:16 PM EDT]      sbbi98   what does a jiggy quote box mean then? a trend is to start? why you need to see bid/ask size on Scott? other brokers can also show bid ask size, right?

[Sep 5, 2011 9:44:39 PM EDT]      Laura GRO and MCOX both on his watch from last week, so look at the charts

[Sep 5, 2011 9:45:15 PM EDT]      Laura jiggy in Q box means you have to know how to read scotttrader

[Sep 5, 2011 9:46:17 PM EDT]      Laura of course other brokers can show you bid/ask, but scottrade is what he knows, and I know, and it’s important for us.

[Sep 5, 2011 9:47:46 PM EDT]      Muddy its not the “size” of the size, it’s the ACTION

[Sep 5, 2011 9:49:06 PM EDT]      MilesJStoner      wow futures getting slaughtered

[Sep 5, 2011 9:50:00 PM EDT]      Muddy earnings no, except if its the first day, along with the confidence thing, i’ll look for a reason to trade these kind, not not trade them on any given day until their “swish” is gone, which happens to every stock

[Sep 5, 2011 9:51:59 PM EDT]      Laura Miles woke up

[Sep 5, 2011 9:53:20 PM EDT]      sbbi98   sorry for being slow.. i still do now understand how to trade on a jiggy quote box.. maybe an example helps..

[Sep 5, 2011 9:53:34 PM EDT]      Laura near time for Mudd and I to go dead

[Sep 5, 2011 9:53:46 PM EDT]      Laura we are old, let’s finish it up!

[Sep 5, 2011 9:53:49 PM EDT]      Laura LOL

[Sep 5, 2011 9:54:37 PM EDT]      seventhcereal   abut the PUDA halt, did it catch anyone by surprise?

[Sep 5, 2011 9:54:41 PM EDT]      Laura sbbi, PM Mudd tomorrow afteer nooon

[Sep 5, 2011 9:54:49 PM EDT]      sbbi98   ok.. thanks

[Sep 5, 2011 9:54:57 PM EDT]      Laura he can give you some tips on how he uses it

[Sep 5, 2011 9:55:08 PM EDT]      seventhcereal   and was anyone concerned that ABCP might’ve gotten halted?

[Sep 5, 2011 9:55:21 PM EDT]      Laura seventh, anyone can get caught in a halt

[Sep 5, 2011 9:55:23 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive why would it be halted?

[Sep 5, 2011 9:55:51 PM EDT]      Laura the china stocks a lot riskier now then they were

[Sep 5, 2011 9:56:03 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive its OTC – rarely halt

[Sep 5, 2011 9:56:11 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive ran up on real news

[Sep 5, 2011 9:56:14 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive no reason for a halt

[Sep 5, 2011 9:57:39 PM EDT]      seventhcereal   but what about PUDA that one seemed really random and it oepned really low

[Sep 5, 2011 9:57:46 PM EDT]      seventhcereal   the 2nd halt not the 1st one

[Sep 5, 2011 9:57:57 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive well PUDA was former Nasdaq

[Sep 5, 2011 9:58:04 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive halted and delisted

[Sep 5, 2011 9:58:05 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive then SEC delist

[Sep 5, 2011 9:58:09 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive ur talking 2 different things

[Sep 5, 2011 9:58:16 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive you’re talking fraud vs. good news

[Sep 5, 2011 9:58:18 PM EDT]      InvestorsLive no relation

[Sep 5, 2011 10:01:56 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive alright guys have a good night!

[Sep 5, 2011 10:02:57 PM EDT]    koogar  thanks for the info again

[Sep 5, 2011 10:02:58 PM EDT]    futurebound      sry to rehash old topic. I reread about accum scan, but still feel like i might b missing something. is it just watching the tape to see if orders were on bid or ask?

[Sep 5, 2011 10:04:03 PM EDT]    wcwc69                can you post link to seminar?

[Sep 5, 2011 10:56:51 PM EDT]    Nate      Futurebond – it scans for stocks where 75% has been traded on offer
