Free Video Scan – Stocks to Watch for the Week of May 18, 2026

by | May 17, 2026

The market has been on a massive run led by AI and semiconductors, with a huge portion of gains concentrated in that theme.

After a move this extended, the focus now shifts to whether we get consolidation or a needed flush.

With monthly options expiration now behind us (last Friday), rising bond yields, strength in the dollar, and ongoing geopolitical tensions, we are starting to see signs of a potential change in character.

This does not automatically mean a major downside move, but it does suggest the market may enter a period of consolidation or reversion.

Video & Game Plan

Main Watches

NVDA Earnings this week is the biggest catalyst for the entire AI trade. Watch for potential derisking into the event or a major reaction post-report that sets the tone for the sector.

MU Parabolic move is starting to stall with signs of trend change. Watching for potential consolidation or pullback toward prior $630 support level.

SNDK Same setup as MU with an extended move and early signs of failed follow-through. Could see downside if the memory trade cools.

EWY Tracking closely with memory names and global macro pressure. Watching for downside continuation if oil stays elevated and memory names stay heavy.

KORU Leveraged ETF tied to the same theme. Can accelerate moves both ways so useful for momentum or mean reversion setups.

AMD Strong trend but now vulnerable after losing momentum. Watching for mean reversion if the AI sector continues to weaken.

MXL Secondary AI name that can move sharply if the sector rolls over. More fragile than leaders and can unwind quickly if it fails to follow through.

POET Classic squeeze and unwind setup. After a parabolic move and a negative catalyst, the stock showed a clean reversion back toward prior support. Likely consolidates for a bit, but watching any good pops for downside entry.

USO Oil remains elevated with geopolitical tensions in focus. Any further upside in oil could pressure equities and keep this in play.

IREN Crypto and AI related name that could unwind if markets go risk off. The recent offering adds additional pressure.

F Had a squeeze tied to China optimism but quickly faded. Watching for further downside if momentum does not return.

FCEL Momentum name in the alternative energy space as leaders like BE remain at highs. Can continue if the sector holds but vulnerable if risk appetite fades.

ENPH Strong recent volume and momentum. Watching to see if this becomes a sustained trend or fades after the initial squeeze.

RKLB SATS LUNR Renewed interest in space theme with SpaceX IPO possible as soon as June. Could see continued strength across related names into the catalyst.

FIG Post-earnings move up with strong volume. Watching for a potential trend change and continuation if it holds gains.

HCWB On watch for a liquidity trap setup. Needs consolidation before a potential secondary move, but dilution risk is present.

LESL Day one move followed by consolidation. Watching for a secondary squeeze if it starts reclaiming highs.

QUCY Similar setup with consolidation after a strong move. Potential for continuation if volume returns.

CREG High volume mover now basing. Watching for another leg higher if shorts get trapped.

MRNO Another recent runner setting up for a possible follow liquidity trap after consolidation.
