Free Video Scan – Stocks to Watch for the Week of April 27, 2026

by | Apr 26, 2026

The market heads into the new week with momentum still favoring risk, driven largely by the continued leadership in semiconductors and a historic rebound in the broader indexes.

A major theme from this week’s scan was the shift from GPU-led AI enthusiasm into a broader CPU and compute infrastructure expansion, which is fueling upside in both large-cap semiconductor leaders and lower-quality second-tier sympathy names.

We have plenty to cover in this week’s Scan, including potential bounce setups after sharp mean reversions, reversal candidates in overextended names, and possible volatility catalysts from the Fed meeting, Mag 7 earnings, and upcoming changes to the PDT rule.

Video & Game Plan

Main Watches

CAR The major focus now turns to a potential bounce setup after the violent mean reversion. In the video we review the key signs before the mean reversion, including the accelerating rate of change, volume expansion, failed VWAP reclaims, and supply finally coming online. Watching for possible panic flushes into the 170 to 180 area followed by stabilization and a reversal bounce.

HTZ A cleaner sympathy trade tied to CAR, with less extreme float dynamics and cleaner price action. The unwind already offered a quality fade, and it remains on watch for continued sympathy movement or a rebound alongside CAR

ARM A major beneficiary of the renewed CPU and compute narrative. Big picture breakout action continues to support the sector, with the stock part of the broader semiconductor leadership driving the market. No bias unless the sector has a major move.

INTC Strong earnings, guidance, and government backing helped confirm the renewed CPU demand thesis. The earnings reaction reinforced the idea that strong reports with positive guidance continue to be rewarded aggressively.

AMD Continues to participate in the sector breakout after long consolidation. The move reflects sustained momentum in semiconductor leadership and remains one of the core names supporting the broader tape.

NVDA Still acting as a leadership name as the AI trade broadens. The discussion centered on how longer consolidations can often lead to more powerful continuation moves once equilibrium breaks.

POET A second-tier semiconductor name showing explosive sympathy potential. Sector momentum and company-specific commentary have helped drive attention, making this a name to watch for continuation until the sector is ready for a mean reversion.

MXL Strong earnings and guidance triggered a powerful gap and momentum move. Another example of how lower-tier semiconductor names can sometimes produce outsized moves when sector momentum is strong.

AMSC Bullish options flow put this on the radar as a potential continuation candidate. Watching whether call positioning and sector spillover can drive a move into prior resistance.

MU Memory remains a leading group tied closely to the AI theme. Continues to support the broader semiconductor trade and remains an important read-through for sector strength.

AEHR On watch as a possible reversal candidate after dip-and-rip behavior appears to be stalling. Could become interesting if momentum fades further.

BE Earnings this week make this a potential catalyst name.

USO / CL Oil remains elevated even as geopolitical headlines have faded into the background. Important macro watchlist names as they could reassert importance if risk sentiment shifts.
