Great week this week!

Yet again the mornings are good – have to stay away until close otherwise lotta commission burning through mid day

Some avoidable disasters to talk about – and why I wasn’t even excited about it ….

The good trades, …. the bad trades …

Where are you having trouble? How can I help?

  1. How is the market in comparison to when you first started. up until today’s date. Was it harder to trade then or easier or shall i say better in today’s day and age more setups etc. (sort of a curiosity question)

My real question is, the ones you predict a parabolic in the AM is usually always due for a strong pull back? vs something that was to randomly parabolic mid day pull back slightly an just keep going.

    •  let me reword it because i almost didnt understand my own question.

You call a parabolic in the morning for short, do you predict it to head down for most of the morning? Usually if something randomly parabolics mid day it is sometimes not followed by a huge pull back and can keep taking off. Reason i am asking this is because one morning i started into a parabolic way to early, but it ended up working out for me pulling back more then half of what it paraboliced.

  2. Shorting of parabolic. Looks like it is easy to lose control over it because the stopping point is not known when entering the trade (MNST thursday play).  What do you base your risk distance on?

  4. Your BSI and Cap accounts both have pretty nice grow, not Suretrader. Is it much harder to grow account with only $12,000 initial BP?….Thanks low BP you can’t scale in, can’t have more trades opened together, commissions eat more % of each trade etc….What would you recommend as ideal starting BP?

    •  What do you mean my SureTrader hasn’t grown? I don’t import that one .. how do you know? It’s at it’s highs … I’m confused

      • I remember when you opened $2000 suretrader account, you had some grow and then some pull back and then i didn’t see you posting any more status of progress….so assumed what I said above…….apologize for false statement.

The main purpose of the question was to find out if low BP influences your trading success
        1) Limited scaling in
        2) Less number of trades opened together
        3) Commissions eat more % of each trade

  6. 2 questions:
    1. When you take those feeler positions to start what is your entry or do you just get in anywhere?2. I’m switching over to Broadstreet and they have many more routes than my current platform so my question is do you know of any specific information I should look at to better learn and familiarize myself with these routes?

  7. Nate,
Im in the account building stage so accounts small and I am using margin during the day mostly for the trades we do in chat (have ST so no pdt rule issue). I find that my buying power is quickly used up after a few trades. How do I distinguish between quick trades that are more scalpish and trades with a greater profit potential? Sometimes I find myself missing big wins because I am hesitant and thinking that I dont want to waste bp on a poor trade.

If you ever had to go through this how did you get over that hump and finally just start multiplying your account. the new BS account you opened doubled pretty quickly, Im having trouble with mine. Its a 3k account with 6:1 margin.

    Thanks!
