Webinar 8PM EST 3/31

by | Mar 31, 2015

Please post questions for webinar tonight in the comment section below!

Please remember I assume you’re fully up to date with Tandem Trader and Textbook Trading and I realize that NOT everyone can get them — so at MINIMUM I expect that everyone is familiar with the new members page and all the parts.

I don’t like to waste other members time whom have lifted a foot to get to the next level – does us no good to discuss “what is ABCD set up?” or “What is HODs” etc.

Just be in the room (momentum/regular trading room) at 7:50PM EST to make sure that everything works for you and we’ll start at 8PM EST

  1. Desktop management, will you show us how you organize your desktop / what tools you have up and how you manage info to trade? Thanks!

  2. I have had great success mixing your scan along with a few of my picks
and preparing for them the night before. The trades do exactly what I
expect them to do nearly all the time when I review work end of day. My
problem is I have 9-15 stocks I want to watch all at the same time and
when the market opens I miss all the trades, end up shorting too low or
buying too high. Can you provide some insight on how we can be more
assertive at picking and choosing at the open bell and how you cycle
stocks for the first hour or two?

    This would dramatically
increase my trading as the most emotion is at the start and I end up
attempting trades later when there is consolidation which results in
consistent losses so far. Appreciate it!

  3. There was good commentary from Eric on the back side of GENE… However, I didn’t see what he was talking about when he said “offers startin to soak a little on GENE now” how does one see this on L2? it pulled right after el maestro was shorting strong… what should I look into to see when this happens on L2?

  4. My questions are basically about timing. I continue to have the right ideas, but consistently mess up my timing on entries and exits, turning potentially winning trades into losing trades or missing trades all-together.

    1. When you say something like “if 8.80s over/under hold….” how much time do you typically give it before deciding to cut it off (i.e. initial break, 1 minute candle, 5m candle, etc). A lot of the time I cut off a trade (stick to my plan) only to see it bounce right back within a few minutes and do exactly what I thought it would all along. At what point does allowing for fluctuation over/under become hope? Would cutting it off into the eventual bounce/pullback be a more effective strategy?

    2. Can you elaborate on the strategy of trading the trend or pops off the trend? I have been trying to be patient and wait for a trend to form, only to find that by the time I see a clear trend and enter a trade, the trend breaks, or the stock has moved too far for a good entry. What kind of time frame do you typically use to make a decision on whether or not a stock is trending? Similarly, how do you respond when a stock pops off trend momentarily — is this an opportunity to add or a signal to exit?

  5. How can I practice and improve order entry and exit efficiency. I typically miss 5, 10 cents or more when entering or exiting a trade. I’m sure being better at scaling in and out would be a big help. Thanks..

  7. New member here. Over the long term, would you say the swing and momentum chat rooms correlate in any way with long vs. short bias? If there is a bias, what percentage of long vs. short would you say each room’s bias is towards.
