[Jan 29, 2012 8:00:50 PM EST]     ChrisKuhn           Good evening IL

[Jan 29, 2012 8:00:56 PM EST]     Csegovia02         helloo

[Jan 29, 2012 8:00:59 PM EST]     jatd104 jello

[Jan 29, 2012 8:01:04 PM EST]     Laura Good evening gents

[Jan 29, 2012 8:01:14 PM EST]     Laura Let IL lead us! LOL

[Jan 29, 2012 8:01:34 PM EST]     InvestorsLive we’re doing same thing as usual, for the new people pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee respect it for everyone else – I posted the seminar for everyone to be familiar with for tonight so as I wrote in the email this weekend and all week – I expect/assume you’ve come prepared and read that and then we go from there

[Jan 29, 2012 8:02:00 PM EST]     InvestorsLive PLEASE keep questions on topic, I’ll go thru each question that people asked ahead of time and if there are questions ON TOPIC I’ll open up after each question and we can discuss

[Jan 29, 2012 8:02:22 PM EST]     InvestorsLive if you’re asking about MSFT when we’re talking about how to set up DAS Trader I’m going to ignore your question

[Jan 29, 2012 8:02:37 PM EST]     InvestorsLive sound good? and we’ll open it up at the end

[Jan 29, 2012 8:02:59 PM EST]     InvestorsLive and as always maybe this time someone will leave investimonials at the end 😉 struck out last 2 times unless everyone has left one lol

[Jan 29, 2012 8:03:21 PM EST]     InvestorsLive QUESTION: I want to start $2K in Suretrader. Will there be any restrictions with shorting? (heard there was some $2.50/share rule). And if I go under $2k, what will happen?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:03:38 PM EST]     InvestorsLive The rule is like any other broker $2.50/margin is needed for any stock. I believe I heard/saw someone post they are doing $2/share minimum instead of $2.50. What this means is like IB, SpeedTrader, TD Ameritrade or ANYWHERE you short let’s say you short 50,000 shares at .50 cents. That’s a $25k position HOWEVER you need $2.50/share minimum in the account aka $125,000 to make the trade. This is why I ask people sometimes when they want to short a stock at .05 cents because it’s a pump I make sure they realize … “you know… you do need $250k in your account to short as little as $5,000 worth of a .05 cent stock” ….

[Jan 29, 2012 8:04:26 PM EST]     InvestorsLive If you need confirmation I’ll shoot Phil or Guy an email but for the one that asked if you want to know $2.50 vs $2 just ask Philip in live chat

[Jan 29, 2012 8:04:44 PM EST]     InvestorsLive Any questions on that?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:05:11 PM EST]     InvestorsLive QUESTION: Is trading with 5K in Suretrader enough to make money in here or not?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:05:28 PM EST]     InvestorsLive Absolutely, pretty soon here I am going to start $2,000 dollar account just for fun. Basically I’ll focus on trying to nail the crazypenny and/or nice set ups like NSRS and ATRN which are low $$ risk plays but high reward gains – just like the calls on Friday on those two which anyone could have made money. From there, once there’s a few more bucks in the account I will focus on text book shorts (which I am best at) or nice long set ups like I had been talking about on HGSI RENN etc, that’ll be the focus spot.

[Jan 29, 2012 8:05:53 PM EST]     InvestorsLive Is it possible with less than $5k … sure … is it harder? Absolutely

[Jan 29, 2012 8:06:12 PM EST]     InvestorsLive the biggest advantage of having more in the account is ever notice when you’re in one stock you miss about 2-3 other lay up opportunities?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:06:49 PM EST]     InvestorsLive I for one don’t keep massive amounts of cash in my accounts – I keep one “big” account and all my other trading accounts I keep in check otherwise I find myself playing 1-2k GOOG or something stupid

[Jan 29, 2012 8:07:10 PM EST]     InvestorsLive I’ve always done better in smaller accounts personally

[Jan 29, 2012 8:07:38 PM EST]     InvestorsLive so Yes $5k absolutely doable but rather than trying to make a million of $5k the point should be going through the motions and being sure you understand and anticipate the trades

[Jan 29, 2012 8:08:17 PM EST]     InvestorsLive Any questions related to this? I gotta re vamp a part of my InvestorsLive.com to do the SureTrader $2k thing … once I get that done I’ll start it …

[Jan 29, 2012 8:08:48 PM EST]     crt123    with a 5k account would you go all in or split?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:08:59 PM EST]     InvestorsLive It’s all relative to what you’re playing

[Jan 29, 2012 8:09:09 PM EST]     InvestorsLive $5k may be big for a play or it may be small.. depends what you’re trading

[Jan 29, 2012 8:09:20 PM EST]     InvestorsLive but I would definately not go all in unless you know your risk and have a plan

[Jan 29, 2012 8:10:03 PM EST]     InvestorsLive too many people will follow a trade and pay no attention that it’s like 1/4 or 1/2 size and then hold on just b/c I am holding on and break their rules and turn what should have been a stop out … a big loss b/c they didn’t follow their rules

[Jan 29, 2012 8:10:49 PM EST]     InvestorsLive so my suggestion is as long as you have a game plan and you stick ot it – by all means $5k isn’t a risky size for MOST of what we are playing – but just don’t put yourself in a position where you’re chasing a stock up 200% and high chance it pulls back 50%

[Jan 29, 2012 8:10:51 PM EST]     GAM3-OVR        I have a 5000 account, and with leverage I get 30,000. However on each play, I only go long, short, etc… my $5000. Also when you say 1/2, /14 i divide the 5000 in that increments. Is that ok? However though, for $1 stock, I can go long 5000 shares, and a 50 dollar stock, only 50 shares. Is that good?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:11:53 PM EST]     InvestorsLive I don’t go long X amount of shares for a price range it’s all relative to the price action on any given stock just like RENN vs. MARK – thick vs. thin low float

[Jan 29, 2012 8:12:18 PM EST]     InvestorsLive I do it in terms of shares, if it’s perking off consolidation and my risk is a dime and I want to risk $200 I’ll go 2k … $500 5k etc

[Jan 29, 2012 8:12:37 PM EST]     InvestorsLive Any questions related to the $5k acct SureTrader stuff?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:12:44 PM EST]     InvestorsLive before moving on

[Jan 29, 2012 8:13:42 PM EST]     Csegovia02         you did the 2k thing account a while back didn’t you? I think I remember seeing something like that

[Jan 29, 2012 8:13:42 PM EST]     InvestorsLive Press enter guys.. or I’m moving on …

[Jan 29, 2012 8:13:58 PM EST]     InvestorsLive yea I did, for a month or 2 … was wasting too much time

[Jan 29, 2012 8:13:58 PM EST]     splendores         .

[Jan 29, 2012 8:14:01 PM EST]     tradernyc            move onn please

[Jan 29, 2012 8:14:10 PM EST]     Csegovia02         haha ok

[Jan 29, 2012 8:14:18 PM EST]     InvestorsLive doubled the account 2 months in a row, was fun

[Jan 29, 2012 8:14:26 PM EST]     InvestorsLive QUESTION: How can a new member learn your strategy the best and how long to master it?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:14:27 PM EST]     InvestorsLive My suggestion is to focus on the new member page and the set ups I cover, focus on the different visual charts in the power points as well as what is listed. ONCE REVIEWED feel free to PM with any questions – like I always say I am MOST helpful when you ask EDUCATED questions – it doesn’t mean you need to get it square one but help me help you and let me know where the fork in the road is, where you don’t know which way to take etc.

[Jan 29, 2012 8:14:42 PM EST]     InvestorsLive The most frustrating part for me is when I get questions like last week or this week that state “What are you set ups?” “What is a textbook chart?” which just goes to show they didn’t even read the seminar prep page. I help those who help themselves – the best way to master it is drill it in over and over focus during the day on different charts I post, I usually try to say what I am looking for and why – if unfamiliar or if you took at trade I’m only a PM away if confused.

[Jan 29, 2012 8:15:33 PM EST]     InvestorsLive If there’s something you need visual during the day I help countless people on the PM – “I did this or that, I thought this, thoughts on this or that….” and many times my answer can be a visual representation … a chart I’ll draw what I see if there is a trend – otherwise if no trend at all I tell you it’s an ignore for me … no edge etc

[Jan 29, 2012 8:16:15 PM EST]     InvestorsLive similiarly ….

[Jan 29, 2012 8:16:19 PM EST]     InvestorsLive QUESTION: How did you brush up your trading when you started off?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:16:29 PM EST]     InvestorsLive Lots of trial and error, lots of losses, big drive to succeed, more losses and then it starts to click. LOOK, you’re going to lose when you start even if it’s not right away … at some point in your trading career you’re going to lose and you’re going to lose big and you’re going to sit back and say … WTF did I do that for? We all make mistakes, it’s ok to make mistakes every now and again but the focal point on brushing up is “why is my portfolio going down?”

[Jan 29, 2012 8:16:46 PM EST]     InvestorsLive Take Friday for example for me – we had an incredible day called a bunch of GREAT easy plays for everyone made nearly $5k but lost about $2k holding EKDKQ – why? Why am I still in? Should I have taken a loss? Probably …. but I make mistakes too. The biggest thing is to determine what type of trader you are, brush up on that – do you want to swing trade? Do you want to day trade? Do one or the other, if you do both have two different accounts – There’s nothing worse than having day trade turn into a bag hold swing trade and take out your daily trading gains.

[Jan 29, 2012 8:17:31 PM EST]     InvestorsLive those 2 are related so if questions related – feel free to ask – we’ll go over visuals later on “better learning the strategy” etc so don’t worry – that was just a broad question and an answer

[Jan 29, 2012 8:17:43 PM EST]     InvestorsLive I’ll go over more ‘strategy’ stuff later on

[Jan 29, 2012 8:18:19 PM EST]     bubblez                where can i set up a 5-10 min momentum scan to find a breaking stock. As long as Im on the chat bases are usually covered but wondering how to do it solo?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:18:39 PM EST]     InvestorsLive any other questions related before moving on guys?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:19:43 PM EST]     spiderdan04       at what point or percentage of a loss do you decide to exit a trade going against you

[Jan 29, 2012 8:20:05 PM EST]     InvestorsLive I don’t use %’s I use $ and the plan going into the trade

[Jan 29, 2012 8:20:46 PM EST]     InvestorsLive all of my examples have risk built in – everything on hte power point shown today has a point where the trade is either working or not working – I go in based on $ risk … period

[Jan 29, 2012 8:20:59 PM EST]     InvestorsLive QUESTION: Could you please post a screenshot/snapshot of how you have your DAS Pro setup. What has worked for you all these years so you have an ideal setup allowing you to monitor each play simultaneously. I have yet to find an ideal solution to have optimal amount of charts, but yet be able to keep an eye on all the plays in the mornings to see which one is ready.

[Jan 29, 2012 8:38:09 PM EST]     autumnalcity      On that chart, is “D” ever a good long point… long on the established higher low? Or do you, as a rule, long as it nears the top of the channel anticipating?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:38:27 PM EST]     InvestorsLive D is an unknown

[Jan 29, 2012 8:38:28 PM EST]     tradernyc            So what time would be ideal on a DANG buy?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:38:29 PM EST]     InvestorsLive until it turns

[Jan 29, 2012 8:38:42 PM EST]     InvestorsLive I posted it above with chat logs from Friday

[Jan 29, 2012 8:38:49 PM EST]     InvestorsLive [Jan 27, 2012 1:38:53 PM EST] InvestorsLive DANG text book setting up

[Jan 29, 2012 8:38:56 PM EST]     InvestorsLive 2-3 min later off she went

[Jan 29, 2012 8:38:56 PM EST]     tradernyc            sorry

[Jan 29, 2012 8:39:07 PM EST]     InvestorsLive any further questions related before going to the next?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:39:11 PM EST]     yanks080602      Obviously buying on C when its perking is ideal but is it also okay to buy the breakout (D) when it hits a new day high

[Jan 29, 2012 8:39:28 PM EST]     abhive198           Nate i am assuming you will talk more about how to play FB sympathy plays later

[Jan 29, 2012 8:39:37 PM EST]     InvestorsLive yanks make sure you are reviewing this chart: https://www.investorsunderground.com/img/JXGNQWVHKF.png

[Jan 29, 2012 8:39:38 PM EST]     yanks080602      buying on b*

[Jan 29, 2012 8:39:42 PM EST]     InvestorsLive D is not the breakout

[Jan 29, 2012 8:39:47 PM EST]     InvestorsLive I like to anticipate between B and C

[Jan 29, 2012 8:39:55 PM EST]     yanks080602      yes sorry okay

[Jan 29, 2012 8:40:03 PM EST]     InvestorsLive as you can see right around B is where the pull back holds and holds a higher low

[Jan 29, 2012 8:40:21 PM EST]     InvestorsLive and then you can scale in with a risk you’re comfortable with – risk being D

[Jan 29, 2012 8:40:58 PM EST]     InvestorsLive no didn’t have plans to talk about Facebook sympathy plays – we saw them all running on Friday RENN QPSA SINA etc anything related to internet sector or any competition social networks etc

[Jan 29, 2012 8:41:11 PM EST]     autumnalcity      do you ever get out before D? If it tests the resistance, fails, and heads south? Ever sell early b/c it failed?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:41:12 PM EST]     InvestorsLive pretty straight forward – GSVC etc anything with a hint of social in it

[Jan 29, 2012 8:41:21 PM EST]     abhive198           ok thanks

[Jan 29, 2012 8:41:36 PM EST]     InvestorsLive autumn – sure if it loses momentum or doesn’t go as planned… or SPY starts to tank …. etc

[Jan 29, 2012 8:41:45 PM EST]     autumnalcity      ok, good, thanks

[Jan 29, 2012 8:41:56 PM EST]     InvestorsLive QUESTION: Also can you go over the NSRS and why you bought it last 10 minutes.

[Jan 29, 2012 8:42:02 PM EST]     InvestorsLive http://www.investorsunderground.com/img/ZFBFPEJKPY.png

[Jan 29, 2012 8:42:08 PM EST]     InvestorsLive It’s held all day … we’re going into the weekend you know they’re going to pump it all weekend since they had been all week it was starting to perk up slowly your risk was .62 range vs. reward of .70 break + and gapper on Monday. I had posted the chart easy to see the inch inch inching along …. then we saw WDCO put the 1,000,000 share bid which is all it takes to spark it a bit into close so I added some for the flip and took the profits.

[Jan 29, 2012 8:42:15 PM EST]     InvestorsLive http://www.investorsunderground.com/img/EEFOZRWPVU.png

[Jan 29, 2012 8:43:11 PM EST]     InvestorsLive any questions related to NSRS?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:43:37 PM EST]     InvestorsLive http://profit.ly/1MmlKz was the trade

[Jan 29, 2012 8:43:46 PM EST]     abhive198           they sent out a bunch of emails over the weekend. how would you continue playing NSRS nmext week

[Jan 29, 2012 8:44:15 PM EST]     Battle    I remember reading “inching” in one of the powerpoints…but I didn’t really understand what that meant–please explain

[Jan 29, 2012 8:44:27 PM EST]     InvestorsLive I’ll play it based on what it gives us, I don’t predict what it’s going to do, I let it tell us

[Jan 29, 2012 8:44:52 PM EST]     InvestorsLive inching along … slowing inching… like NSRS … started slowly inching .005 off the base

[Jan 29, 2012 8:45:04 PM EST]     InvestorsLive rather than stocks with trends up and down

[Jan 29, 2012 8:45:16 PM EST]     InvestorsLive inchers are slowly inch inch inch mostly on offer

[Jan 29, 2012 8:45:43 PM EST]     InvestorsLive LBSR for example http://www.investorsunderground.com/img/YCOOVTXKEW.png

[Jan 29, 2012 8:45:47 PM EST]     InvestorsLive inching along slowly all day

[Jan 29, 2012 8:46:07 PM EST]     InvestorsLive QUESTION: How many different setups do you have. I did see new members area and saw the favorite 3 but as I see asked here I also see different charts in chat that don’t meet the criteria I was trying to put together the charts and review them would you mind showing all your setups in charts to us so i can get this gray area I am having hard time with.

[Jan 29, 2012 8:46:26 PM EST]     InvestorsLive They all meet the criteria unless it’s a momentum trade or a quick scalp on a former runner or something that might be going crazy that I want to take a small taste it.

[Jan 29, 2012 8:46:32 PM EST]     InvestorsLive It’s having a basic understanding of when and where to buy or when and where to short. That comes from the set ups I look for, gearing/perking examples or late day fades. Once you see it lining up the next focus is on where you’re going to stop, is this pre mature but you know you want to be part of it? If so use less size, wider stop or, is this the trade you WANT to be in NOW and if so stick to the risk – risk is related to where the prior support was, where it broke off support or if it’s a fader, usually HODs or prior high to avoid trend reversal.

[Jan 29, 2012 8:47:21 PM EST]     InvestorsLive There is no right or wrong way it’s all about being able to see the trade and more importantly having a known risk – there is no bad trade with a plan – but the problem in trading becomes too many people who just want to be in but have no exit plan, what if the stock goes down and you’re red, where do you stop? etc

[Jan 29, 2012 8:48:11 PM EST]     InvestorsLive Everything I do is based on a range, if I see a stock consolidating and holding higher lows I look for a perk off consolidation for the long I look for what could be a magnet …. a red/green play if it’s a stock that has been in play recently that pulled back like ACHN last week … or that REE trade r/g after selling off

[Jan 29, 2012 8:48:20 PM EST]     InvestorsLive Take for example IDIX Friday [Jan 27, 2012 10:55:00 AM EST] InvestorsLive https://www.investorsunderground.com/img/INGUKCSDCF.png how text book was that IDIX .. wow

[Jan 29, 2012 8:48:29 PM EST]     InvestorsLive I missed it but as we’ve discussed so many times – gearing/perking, whole number magnet and red to green test all come together and make a powerful move. Obviously the move is not to buy the spike but rather anticipate the whole number magnet and red/green and sell at least 1/2 + into the spike as you saw happen.

[Jan 29, 2012 8:49:41 PM EST]     calaz      all set ups off 1 min charts?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:49:51 PM EST]     InvestorsLive something we are all familiar with … gearing/perking off support

[Jan 29, 2012 8:50:00 PM EST]     InvestorsLive combinations as I went over in the power point

[Jan 29, 2012 8:50:04 PM EST]     InvestorsLive whole #s … red/green etc

[Jan 29, 2012 8:50:13 PM EST]     InvestorsLive yes everything I do is 1 min charts

[Jan 29, 2012 8:50:16 PM EST]     ChrisKuhn           He only uses 1min charts calaz.

[Jan 29, 2012 8:50:21 PM EST]     calaz      ok

[Jan 29, 2012 8:50:55 PM EST]     InvestorsLive any questions related?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:51:34 PM EST]     InvestorsLive QUESTION: Was the reasoning behind this ‘SAPX’ trade a buy alert from Lebeds after the success of BVSN ? ~ http://profit.ly/1Mml1V

[Jan 29, 2012 8:51:48 PM EST]     InvestorsLive QUESTION: What was the reasoning behind this ‘HGSI’ trade I believe u bought at open and sold at 3 points into pops. What did u see that convinced u to buy at the open? ~ http://profit.ly/1Mml7U

[Jan 29, 2012 8:52:19 PM EST]     InvestorsLive these are both similiar questions about trades from last week – HGSI trade was on scan for 2-3 days in a row and I had told chat why I liked it so much – same set ups I look for on the 1 min intraday chart was forming on the daily chart

[Jan 29, 2012 8:52:59 PM EST]     InvestorsLive same thing again on SAPX I wrote on the next days scan – I never even alerted SAPX that I bought it anyway … since it wasn’t an ideal trade but I was just thinking if enough sheep thought SAPX could be 1/10th of BVSN maybe it’d get momo over .60

[Jan 29, 2012 8:53:04 PM EST]     InvestorsLive that was it ……….

[Jan 29, 2012 8:53:15 PM EST]     InvestorsLive HGSI was just a $10 magnet nice set up on the chart that I had been calling for for a few days

[Jan 29, 2012 8:53:50 PM EST]     InvestorsLive In addition I think it would help (the person who ask these questions) if you start reading nightly scans I post as these were discussed in detail all last week

[Jan 29, 2012 8:54:19 PM EST]     calaz      all on dashboard correct?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:54:31 PM EST]     InvestorsLive or just click the link in chat bu tyes

[Jan 29, 2012 8:54:33 PM EST]     InvestorsLive daily scans

[Jan 29, 2012 8:54:44 PM EST]     InvestorsLive any questiond related here?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:55:04 PM EST]     publicst                How does magnet work? I do not know if that is correct question but

[Jan 29, 2012 8:55:26 PM EST]     InvestorsLive in momentum trading it’s all about reasons to buy … reasons for stocks to move, reasons for stocks to dance etc

[Jan 29, 2012 8:55:31 PM EST]     InvestorsLive what will bring traders to the table?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:55:35 PM EST]     InvestorsLive where will momentum come in

[Jan 29, 2012 8:55:47 PM EST]     InvestorsLive usually .50 marks and dollar marks bring in traers

[Jan 29, 2012 8:55:48 PM EST]     InvestorsLive traders

[Jan 29, 2012 8:55:54 PM EST]     InvestorsLive much like support or resistance

[Jan 29, 2012 8:55:56 PM EST]     InvestorsLive much like red/green

[Jan 29, 2012 8:56:11 PM EST]     InvestorsLive its all about where the most traders will meet and create the most powerful move

[Jan 29, 2012 8:56:31 PM EST]     InvestorsLive any further questions related to the HGSI SAPX?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:57:03 PM EST]     InvestorsLive QUESTION: What was the idea behind HSOL? I believe you were thinking it was going go up from 1.80s.

[Jan 29, 2012 8:57:09 PM EST]     InvestorsLive Check out the daily chart – same thing I look for on intraday charts – as I say if I see them on daily charts too – very good long possibilities. Problem with me is I don’t give them enough time- this probably ends up at $2.50+ once $2 breaks and holds.

[Jan 29, 2012 8:57:15 PM EST]     InvestorsLive http://www.investorsunderground.com/img/CYMEHZTWPW.png

[Jan 29, 2012 8:57:19 PM EST]     InvestorsLive Risk vs. reward I love it: http://www.investorsunderground.com/img/XKCWKJFCAC.png

[Jan 29, 2012 8:57:52 PM EST]     sfk10     thanks for explianation

[Jan 29, 2012 8:58:42 PM EST]     publicst                I see you draw lines, but there are total of 3 legs that is above/below these. How do you distinguish good leg and bad leg?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:59:06 PM EST]     publicst                is it similar to magnet where its chriteria traders put? like 2.00 and 1.75

[Jan 29, 2012 8:59:15 PM EST]     InvestorsLive That’s a daily chart – I’d prob would have stopped out as I did the other day

[Jan 29, 2012 8:59:17 PM EST]     InvestorsLive and took the loss

[Jan 29, 2012 8:59:29 PM EST]     InvestorsLive no patience but one of htese days if it breaks $2 and holds its going to $2.50-3

[Jan 29, 2012 8:59:36 PM EST]     calaz      so you do identify a possible set up in daily chart then use 1 min looking for same set up?

[Jan 29, 2012 8:59:46 PM EST]     InvestorsLive if it doesn’t will make a nice fade back sub $1.25s

[Jan 29, 2012 8:59:53 PM EST]     InvestorsLive I like the same set ups I go over on the power point – on the daily chart

[Jan 29, 2012 8:59:56 PM EST]     InvestorsLive I love when they both match

[Jan 29, 2012 9:00:07 PM EST]     InvestorsLive HSOL is just showing you the risk vs. reward… why I liked the trade

[Jan 29, 2012 9:00:08 PM EST]     InvestorsLive why I took it

[Jan 29, 2012 9:00:15 PM EST]     InvestorsLive it hit $2 failed twice….

[Jan 29, 2012 9:00:16 PM EST]     Csegovia02         Its just to establish a bias right

[Jan 29, 2012 9:00:23 PM EST]     InvestorsLive had it not, woulda been nice… but I’ll take that r/r any time

[Jan 29, 2012 9:00:46 PM EST]     InvestorsLive basically HSOL is not going to move unless it breaks out over $2 or starts to break down under $1.75

[Jan 29, 2012 9:00:49 PM EST]     InvestorsLive that’s what the chart is saying

[Jan 29, 2012 9:01:50 PM EST]     InvestorsLive QUESTION: Most of the known traders urge us to do journaling every day after trading. Do you do that? Is it really so useful?

[Jan 29, 2012 9:02:01 PM EST]     InvestorsLive ANSWER: My journal is profit.ly I don’t make a journal though as to why and what I did, I know why and what I did …

[Jan 29, 2012 9:02:29 PM EST]     InvestorsLive I know every trade I make .. I could tell you entry exit on trades from a week ago without looking – just something that goes into my memory … so if it helps you learn sure….

[Jan 29, 2012 9:02:35 PM EST]     InvestorsLive the other thing you could do instead of a journakl

[Jan 29, 2012 9:02:36 PM EST]     InvestorsLive journal

[Jan 29, 2012 9:02:38 PM EST]     InvestorsLive is start a blog

[Jan 29, 2012 9:02:42 PM EST]     InvestorsLive helps you, really does

[Jan 29, 2012 9:02:53 PM EST]     InvestorsLive write about it, you really want to write about how bad you f’ked up?

[Jan 29, 2012 9:02:58 PM EST]     InvestorsLive helps you stick to your losses

[Jan 29, 2012 9:03:05 PM EST]     ChrisKuhn           and rules

[Jan 29, 2012 9:03:35 PM EST]     InvestorsLive doesn’t matter if you have an audience or not … when you have been doing it for a while I’ll send you traffic and get you an audience in a minute

[Jan 29, 2012 9:03:40 PM EST]     InvestorsLive point is … make yourself accountable

[Jan 29, 2012 9:03:50 PM EST]     InvestorsLive I post all good and bad, it is what it is… losses happen

[Jan 29, 2012 9:04:14 PM EST]     InvestorsLive Makes you think twice about breaking rules, imo

[Jan 29, 2012 9:04:18 PM EST]     InvestorsLive and helps over all better than a journal

[Jan 29, 2012 9:04:30 PM EST]     InvestorsLive any questions related to that?

[Jan 29, 2012 9:05:13 PM EST]     InvestorsLive QUESTION: Could you explain what you mean if you say low float stock? Could you explain what you mean if you say thin market or thin stock?

[Jan 29, 2012 9:05:24 PM EST]     InvestorsLive ANSWER: Low float is a stock that has a small number of shares available to the public. For example LIVE, MARK, BVSN etc are all lower float stocks. They may have a different numbers of shares outstanding but compared to something like RENN or MSFT which trades millions and millions and moves a dime, LIVE and BVSN moves $2, 3, 5 or $10 bucks on much less volume.

[Jan 29, 2012 9:05:36 PM EST]     InvestorsLive Take for example how fast this one moves .25-.50/share – trades very THIN. http://www.investorsunderground.com/img/UOULXGFZPP.png

[Jan 29, 2012 9:05:45 PM EST]     InvestorsLive The offers are therefore “spread” http://www.investorsunderground.com/img/HZHCEXHCXQ.png

[Jan 29, 2012 9:05:57 PM EST]     InvestorsLive spread = bid/ask spread distance between

[Jan 29, 2012 9:06:13 PM EST]     InvestorsLive that is 2 cents now but typically … .10-.15 +

[Jan 29, 2012 9:06:22 PM EST]     InvestorsLive vs. MSFT which has tons of players .01 apart

[Jan 29, 2012 9:06:32 PM EST]     InvestorsLive When I refer to it on OTCs it’s when the offer thins out http://www.investorsunderground.com/img/FTGCODXTPI.png

[Jan 29, 2012 9:06:39 PM EST]     InvestorsLive Usually start to see a breakout or a ‘gap’ in PPS http://www.investorsunderground.com/img/AMBGYCFLHA.png

[Jan 29, 2012 9:07:24 PM EST]     InvestorsLive questions related to thin stocks, thinning up, low floats?

[Jan 29, 2012 9:08:20 PM EST]     Csegovia02         So what does it tell you if stock is thinning up?

[Jan 29, 2012 9:08:34 PM EST]     InvestorsLive scroll up 2 lines

[Jan 29, 2012 9:09:05 PM EST]     InvestorsLive usually indicative of a quick breakout or gap in PPS

[Jan 29, 2012 9:09:14 PM EST]     InvestorsLive usually I like to sell in the inch inch breakouts

[Jan 29, 2012 9:09:16 PM EST]     InvestorsLive and re accum on dips

[Jan 29, 2012 9:09:31 PM EST]     InvestorsLive this is for OTCs – like ATRN for example Friday the big rip …

[Jan 29, 2012 9:09:33 PM EST]     Csegovia02         k thanks

[Jan 29, 2012 9:09:46 PM EST]     InvestorsLive QUESTION: When you post hidden buyer/seller here, how do you know that? My level 2 doesn’t show hidden buyers/sellers. What is level 2 for if anybody can hide their offers/bids?

[Jan 29, 2012 9:09:59 PM EST]     InvestorsLive How would they show if they are hidden? 🙂

[Jan 29, 2012 9:10:06 PM EST]     InvestorsLive Hidden buyers is much like when I trade I never show my full order, just like you don’t show your full deck of cards in poker (I don’t play poker so that’s all for card related comments). But the point is if I am playing let’s say MSHL which is a very thin stock and I want to accumulate 10,000 shares if I were to post a bid for 20,000 share at $1.10 there is a good chance someone will go right above it at $1.11 because they see a big bid. OR I can HIDE my order and only show 100 and let no one know there is an order there except 100 shares – so let’s say some market orders come in to $1.10 and you see 1k 1k 5k 500 500 1k all hitting $1.10 bid EVEN THOUGH there is only 100 shares showing – this is the same thing I see when I state a hidden buyer. Same idea on hidden seller.

[Jan 29, 2012 9:11:14 PM EST]     InvestorsLive Level 2 can be an asset for some, and noise for others it’s all up to what you find useful. I use it, I can’t trade without it but that’s how I taught myself – I watch it all … it’s just part of it. Do what works for you. On the flip, just like you saw on NSRS if you traded it… having level two and being able to see the big bids especially when they want a strong close would have scored you some quick easy cash into the close on Friday!

[Jan 29, 2012 9:11:45 PM EST]     InvestorsLive questions related?

[Jan 29, 2012 9:11:59 PM EST]     tradernyc            You let them test bids before u buy

[Jan 29, 2012 9:12:15 PM EST]     hesjms so level 2 and time and sales is key

[Jan 29, 2012 9:12:20 PM EST]     dre7dre7             Do you know if you can hide your size on etrade?

[Jan 29, 2012 9:12:53 PM EST]     InvestorsLive letting them test bids is related to something like BION TFER or new issue type stocks that have been trending up with nearly 100% of the volume on the offer and no bid test

[Jan 29, 2012 9:13:12 PM EST]     InvestorsLive everyone gest exciting going straight up but how do you know if they will support the play if it hasn’t been tested

[Jan 29, 2012 9:13:36 PM EST]     InvestorsLive not sure dre – probably on the platform itself not on the web – it’s a standard feature for many … but then again it’s Etrade

[Jan 29, 2012 9:13:41 PM EST]     Rainmaker          if u check all or none on etrade ur bid does not show up.. even tho its there..

[Jan 29, 2012 9:13:50 PM EST]     Rainmaker          if u uncheck it one trade it will show up

[Jan 29, 2012 9:14:07 PM EST]     Rainmaker          *on a

[Jan 29, 2012 9:14:39 PM EST]     Rainmaker          maybe thats what he is looking for?

[Jan 29, 2012 9:14:54 PM EST]     InvestorsLive Any further questions related?

[Jan 29, 2012 9:15:22 PM EST]     InvestorsLive QUESTION: When calling a textbook trade that is going to break the HOD do you usually let it test after it broke HOD and then take it or just take it would out testing. I am asking because CIGX(January 26) broke HOD at 3:25 and then just faded away so do you usually let it test first.

[Jan 29, 2012 9:15:30 PM EST]     InvestorsLive You’re trading the choppiness again like I had told you about https://www.investorsunderground.com/img/QJNFOXTLHL.png I look for stocks to slowly gear off support and break HODs, I don’t look for a stock to rip up $2.10 to $3 and pull back 10 cents within 15 minutes and then consider a rebound for a long 2 minutes later. Remember these trades pan out, you’re comparing a text book idea to something you should either ignore or just scalp.

[Jan 29, 2012 9:16:00 PM EST]     InvestorsLive Text book trades are AM movers consolidate for a bit and come back mid to late day – not all within 10 minutes

[Jan 29, 2012 9:16:37 PM EST]     InvestorsLive QUESTION: I was on chat today and you posted “ATRN textbook set up”, or something to that effect. Can you elaborate on what made this textbook? What brought this up on your scan before it broke? I am also curious as to what determines your entry and exit points of a trade. You have stated repeatedly that you only use volume and price to determine whether or not to trade, which is good (the simpler the better), but where I struggle is when to get in and when to get out.

[Jan 29, 2012 9:16:42 PM EST]     InvestorsLive It was slowly inching all day and it was on accumulation scan – first pop through the afternoon flat line 3pm+ is when I look for all the EOD runners. [Jan 26, 2012 2:47:33 PM EST] InvestorsLive ATRN text bookin’ http://www.investorsunderground.com/img/YNPZYFUUDV.png

[Jan 29, 2012 9:17:22 PM EST]     InvestorsLive I watch my accumulation scan and other OTC scanner for HODs with decent volume and if it has a price trend favorable to what we like to see …. than 3pm+ its a def a candidate

[Jan 29, 2012 9:17:28 PM EST]     InvestorsLive for move into close + gapper

[Jan 29, 2012 9:18:45 PM EST]     calaz      if ATRN did not keep going what was your stop?

[Jan 29, 2012 9:19:07 PM EST]     Rainmaker          it would be that yellow trend line right?

[Jan 29, 2012 9:19:12 PM EST]     InvestorsLive usually it’s a the prior bottom

[Jan 29, 2012 9:19:26 PM EST]     InvestorsLive it kept making higher lows each time it ‘dipped’

[Jan 29, 2012 9:19:29 PM EST]     Rainmaker          yep

[Jan 29, 2012 9:20:05 PM EST]     InvestorsLive QUESTION: How could tell NFLX was going pop big in the AM? Seems I couldn’t notice/get till was up halfway to the top.

[Jan 29, 2012 9:20:14 PM EST]     InvestorsLive No real answer here: Just was the gut feeling given the earnings and positive reaction, it pulled back lotta buyers absorbing all the volume coming to the bids and it felt like it was going to go – no rhyme or reason just a gut feel.

[Jan 29, 2012 9:20:25 PM EST]     InvestorsLive market gut

[Jan 29, 2012 9:21:11 PM EST]     sfk10     how did you judge how much size to put in NFLX?

[Jan 29, 2012 9:22:06 PM EST]     InvestorsLive QUESTION: Question about OTC & NITE: lets say the stocks bid/ask is 0.20 – 0.21 | Now I enter the ticker and on the L2 Montage; NITE is showing 0.18, does that mean if i want to buy the OFFER at 0.21 to get into the stock and have “NITE” chosen as my ROUTE, it wont go though? I never really chose a route before, I just had it on LMT and it picked whatever route, So I want to know since I heard u say before u use NITE for OTC pumps crazypenny/pennypic, Could u explain this topic

[Jan 29, 2012 9:22:26 PM EST]     InvestorsLive it doesn’t matter who you send NITE too

[Jan 29, 2012 9:22:40 PM EST]     InvestorsLive you don’t need to send NITE to NITE you can send them to anyone, its a retail market maker

[Jan 29, 2012 9:22:59 PM EST]     InvestorsLive You can just send them to whatever the offer is or above if it you’re trying to get in ….

[Jan 29, 2012 9:23:07 PM EST]     InvestorsLive if you’re patiently trying to get in you can also bid for the stock

[Jan 29, 2012 9:23:35 PM EST]     InvestorsLive otherwise just take the offer, if it’s a crazypenny and it’s .20 and you want to get in you can always send it higher to whatever limit is the most you want to pay

[Jan 29, 2012 9:23:52 PM EST]     InvestorsLive QUESTION: Question about Fast quick scalp trades: When u open a position @ XX.10 do u immediately put a sell order in @ XX.34 so it pops into it and gets executed? or do u just ride it and whatever price it becomes & sell into the offer

[Jan 29, 2012 9:24:04 PM EST]     InvestorsLive I may put in 1/2 already … but most times it’s just point and click

[Jan 29, 2012 9:24:10 PM EST]     InvestorsLive we’re not talking about anything that takes more than a second here

[Jan 29, 2012 9:24:40 PM EST]     InvestorsLive QUESTION: Was wondering about the night scans that you put out every night the question I have is how do you form the bias if the stock will move up big or down big. Most times you call the play to a T and I was just wondering if you can explain how you come to those great calls and the second part of my question is how can a new trader like myself learn this skill. Thanks

[Jan 29, 2012 9:25:16 PM EST]     InvestorsLive Usually look at a 3month or 6 month chart look for support resistance, look for consolidation whether or not yets forming higher lows (ex: HGSI the past week when I was really long biased)

[Jan 29, 2012 9:25:25 PM EST]     InvestorsLive kept having higher lows but topping out

[Jan 29, 2012 9:25:40 PM EST]     InvestorsLive fade but hold higher low
