[Sun Mar 15 17:00:43 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive Welcome

[Sun Mar 15 17:00:49 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive I have a bunch of questions, thanks for emailing me everyone

[Sun Mar 15 17:01:10 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive as I mentioned in e-mail it is mainly a member driven seminar as always and the more questions I get – more than likely most people in here have the same ones

[Sun Mar 15 17:01:12 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive they just aren’t asking it

[Sun Mar 15 17:01:25 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive so as always – you can PM me questions as we go along I will moderate it

[Sun Mar 15 17:01:29 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive but I will start with the ones I got

[Sun Mar 15 17:01:57 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive Do you think it’s worthwhile to get a pump and dump news letter sent to your inbox every morning? If so, why and how can they be beneficial to us when scalping? Which newsletters are recommended?

[Sun Mar 15 17:02:12 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive If you have a broker like IB and quite a bit of money to cover the margin (since its quite a bit per share, and since they are lower priced — chances are you’d short quite a few) then sure its a great idea to have them on your list for shorting opportunities after the pump slows.

[Sun Mar 15 17:02:22 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive I subscribe to a bunch (not in my personal e-mail) but review them each morning to see if there are any set ups I like which may carry momentum on their on. The only one I find worth ‘reading’ beyond the symbol is Lebed’s.

[Sun Mar 15 17:02:55 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive He has an EXCELLENT Nasdaq/AMEX/NYSE track record and that’s without question, had I been paying attention more and actually done puts on many of the stock he recco’d I’d be up quite a bit. Also Lebed is the only one with mid day picks vs. premarket (therefore they don’t gap and cut your money making opportunity out).

[Sun Mar 15 17:03:11 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive The last three picks that he’s promoted hard I have played, only for .03-.05 cents but on 5-10k shares it adds up quickly and all you had to do is check your e-mail.

[Sun Mar 15 17:03:34 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive Other than that – no I don’t recco any more than a POTENTIAL day trade, but most of this stuff doesn’t matter we don’t trade OTCBB’s 99% of the time

[Sun Mar 15 17:06:00 PDT 2009] Muddy yes for me the newsletters but remember imo, theses are NOT bread and butter plays….they are just another angle ,a way to pick up another few hundred dollars..the best I’ve seen are Lebed and Beacon…Stockpreacher seems to be coming along

[Sun Mar 15 17:06:46 PDT 2009] Muddy the thing I do is go to see if the Co. that is mentioned in these pumps has also released fluff pr

[Sun Mar 15 17:07:09 PDT 2009] Muddy to me thats a double shotgun effect

[Sun Mar 15 17:08:24 PDT 2009] Muddy me,i think the pinks and otcbb’s are the best but you gotta watch like a hawk

[Sun Mar 15 17:08:55 PDT 2009] Muddy but you can get 30%+ both ways pretty fast

[Sun Mar 15 17:09:25 PDT 2009] Muddy only ib has a bunch of borrows though from what i’ve seen

[Sun Mar 15 17:09:58 PDT 2009] Laura Question, could Muddy touch on some of the differences in playing stocks under $1 vs above $1. I know he talks about jiggy but is there anything else he uses to spot runners?

[Sun Mar 15 17:10:26 PDT 2009] Muddy the jig happens in all price ranges….

[Sun Mar 15 17:10:50 PDT 2009] Muddy but the under $1 are the easiest to catch imo….

[Sun Mar 15 17:11:13 PDT 2009] Muddy because they do that “bid up” thing so often…

[Sun Mar 15 17:11:31 PDT 2009] Muddy its almost scary on many under 1’s

[Sun Mar 15 17:11:44 PDT 2009] Muddy you can see the bid up…

[Sun Mar 15 17:11:58 PDT 2009] Muddy but the ask/price does NOT move

[Sun Mar 15 17:12:18 PDT 2009] Muddy in a min or so many just take off…

[Sun Mar 15 17:12:57 PDT 2009] Muddy the over 1’s do sometimes but the ask on these will drop off often…harder to gauge the coming run

[Sun Mar 15 17:13:31 PDT 2009] Muddy the under 1’s ,many never move off price/ask until they zoom

[Sun Mar 15 17:14:25 PDT 2009] Muddy the bid/ask exhange and or b/a Size just flips …

[Sun Mar 15 17:14:43 PDT 2009] Muddy but price stays the same..

[Sun Mar 15 17:15:03 PDT 2009] Muddy until it goes ,then they often go fast

[Sun Mar 15 17:15:15 PDT 2009] Muddy RAS perfect example fri

[Sun Mar 15 17:15:48 PDT 2009] Laura Any questions anyone?

[Sun Mar 15 17:16:25 PDT 2009] Laura On this subject…

[Sun Mar 15 17:16:27 PDT 2009] John doh Comment – if you haven’t seen the jig video on stackyourcream, do so.

[Sun Mar 15 17:16:41 PDT 2009] lxman the under 1’s ,many never move off price/ask until they zoom – Muddy – is this because nobody is “watching the store” and it takes the mm’s a minute or so to get geared up and respond to the increasing volume?

[Sun Mar 15 17:17:22 PDT 2009] Muddy i think so…

[Sun Mar 15 17:17:43 PDT 2009] Muddy from what i can see….

[Sun Mar 15 17:17:52 PDT 2009] Muddy thats exactly the case

[Sun Mar 15 17:18:14 PDT 2009] Muddy even on the lower vol ones too…

[Sun Mar 15 17:18:26 PDT 2009] lxman so we’re capitalizing a bit on the human latency factor?

[Sun Mar 15 17:18:41 PDT 2009] Muddy because they arent being followed then all of a sudden there is a demand

[Sun Mar 15 17:18:50 PDT 2009] Muddy yes,exactly

[Sun Mar 15 17:19:17 PDT 2009] Muddy cause to them its no big deal at that TIME…

[Sun Mar 15 17:19:22 PDT 2009] Muddy then it does..

[Sun Mar 15 17:19:32 PDT 2009] Muddy you catch them scrambling

[Sun Mar 15 17:19:45 PDT 2009] Muddy you get that ask/price

[Sun Mar 15 17:20:05 PDT 2009] Muddy then its a big deal to them and of course…

[Sun Mar 15 17:20:15 PDT 2009] Muddy being supply/demand…

[Sun Mar 15 17:20:28 PDT 2009] Muddy they are gonna raise the price..

[Sun Mar 15 17:20:45 PDT 2009] Muddy but you can beat them at their own game

[Sun Mar 15 17:20:54 PDT 2009] maniac how many different exchanges do you want to see to consider it an event?

[Sun Mar 15 17:21:19 PDT 2009] Muddy actually i just watch the flip

[Sun Mar 15 17:21:37 PDT 2009] Muddy i dont care about the exhanges or the sizes

[Sun Mar 15 17:21:49 PDT 2009] lxman what exactly do you mean by “flip” – ask gets under the bid?

[Sun Mar 15 17:21:59 PDT 2009] Muddy just the jig aka flipping

[Sun Mar 15 17:22:04 PDT 2009] stonespeaks If you buy, do you try to get a limit or market order

[Sun Mar 15 17:22:20 PDT 2009] Muddy no,the flipping back and forth

[Sun Mar 15 17:22:39 PDT 2009] maniac so 2 exchanges flipping back and forth is just as good as 3 or 4?

[Sun Mar 15 17:22:41 PDT 2009] Muddy i always do market…i just want in…

[Sun Mar 15 17:22:47 PDT 2009] Laura Muddy has often said he uses market orders

[Sun Mar 15 17:22:57 PDT 2009] Muddy because they stay right on current ask

[Sun Mar 15 17:23:07 PDT 2009] Muddy and don’t pullback

[Sun Mar 15 17:23:24 PDT 2009] Muddy so say..

[Sun Mar 15 17:23:33 PDT 2009] Muddy bid is .48

[Sun Mar 15 17:23:35 PDT 2009] Laura maniac, he doesn’t watch what exchanges they are or how many

[Sun Mar 15 17:23:40 PDT 2009] pathan786 how can we be sure that the jig is for the break out and not for break down.

[Sun Mar 15 17:23:45 PDT 2009] Muddy and ask/price is .50

[Sun Mar 15 17:23:51 PDT 2009] Muddy its flipping

[Sun Mar 15 17:24:00 PDT 2009] Muddy then bid goes .49

[Sun Mar 15 17:24:01 PDT 2009] pathan786 (e.g. FAS /FAZ keep jigging all the time – they are high price though)

[Sun Mar 15 17:24:30 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive FAS/FAZ aren’t jig worthy

[Sun Mar 15 17:24:32 PDT 2009] Muddy then it hits .495 but ask/price is still .50

[Sun Mar 15 17:24:48 PDT 2009] Muddy its almost a given it will run

[Sun Mar 15 17:25:05 PDT 2009] Muddy sometimes it goes .499

[Sun Mar 15 17:25:19 PDT 2009] Muddy it is almost certain to go

[Sun Mar 15 17:25:41 PDT 2009] Muddy those are the kind that can fly

[Sun Mar 15 17:26:27 PDT 2009] Muddy yeah FAZ type arent this kind

[Sun Mar 15 17:26:28 PDT 2009] stonespeaks What you call jiggy, is the bid action moving with the ask remaining static

[Sun Mar 15 17:26:52 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive Jiggy covered a lot in the first seminar – will ink it shortly

[Sun Mar 15 17:26:56 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive we spent a good hour on it

[Sun Mar 15 17:27:05 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive http://www.investorsunderground.com/seminars/

[Sun Mar 15 17:27:28 PDT 2009] pathan786 what do do if the bid/ask spread is huge on these penny ones. like .45 / .50

[Sun Mar 15 17:27:28 PDT 2009] Muddy part of it but its the wild flip action on b/a exchange and/or size

[Sun Mar 15 17:27:39 PDT 2009] JCastellon is there a reverse jig for shorts?

[Sun Mar 15 17:27:44 PDT 2009] Muddy please understand i see this only on Scott

[Sun Mar 15 17:27:53 PDT 2009] Laura you don’t play them pathan, they are not what he is referring to.

[Sun Mar 15 17:28:12 PDT 2009] Muddy may happen with other brokers but ib doesnt even have a qbox

[Sun Mar 15 17:28:45 PDT 2009] Muddy its why i keep 500 in scott along with the hod list

[Sun Mar 15 17:29:18 PDT 2009] stonespeaks I’m with Scott, but I only see these things in sctotrade elite. Is that what you have?

[Sun Mar 15 17:29:22 PDT 2009] Muddy if it jiggy, you watch the bid up from .45

[Sun Mar 15 17:29:36 PDT 2009] JCastellon stone: the java streaing quotes app they ahve

[Sun Mar 15 17:30:00 PDT 2009] Muddy no,basic only we use on scott

[Sun Mar 15 17:30:15 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive Question: On a choppy day like Friday, what is the best strategy for intra-day trades

[Sun Mar 15 17:30:42 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive As we’ve been saying quite a bit although many stocks going back 4-6 months + were multi day swings which as long as you were up it was worth holding with a trailing stop loss. The market has changed, the day may start off great +200 points by 11am and by close it’s given up all of its gains and currently red.

[Sun Mar 15 17:30:44 PDT 2009] Muddy reason i dont use elite is its too much noise for me…just me

[Sun Mar 15 17:31:00 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive The best way to take advantage of this in my mind and the way I have been — is scans at night, know whats over sold, know whats over extended, know what side you’re thinking of being on — long or short biased.

[Sun Mar 15 17:31:15 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive You may be short biased coming into the day, but for example MBI http://tinyurl.com/cudeod turned out to hold support and head higher – I was short biased (and did short scalp it) coming into the day, but mid day mentioned in chat it appeared to be turning and a break of $4.10 more than likely would push it higher.

[Sun Mar 15 17:31:16 PDT 2009] Muddy right and….

[Sun Mar 15 17:31:29 PDT 2009] Muddy use the p/m data on these too

[Sun Mar 15 17:31:38 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive The best plays if you are not comfortable with finding an entry and exit based on a an over extension intraday or a bottom reversal are those on the HOD/LOD list. A lot of times I don’t chase stocks off the HOD list, instead I watch for the steady ones that have been going up .50-1.50 straight through the day without any pullbacks, once it starts to level off (sideways) or the accelerated move up (which I mentioned quite often in chat when i feel like a stock is going to start moving up a bit faster) and then level off.

[Sun Mar 15 17:31:53 PDT 2009] Muddy don’t go looking for it on a stock on watch…

[Sun Mar 15 17:32:02 PDT 2009] Muddy let it come to you!

[Sun Mar 15 17:32:20 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive If it starts leveling off — I may short it, near a dollar mark or x.50 mark. For example, if its $5.20.. 5.25, 5.30, 5.40 and breaks through $5.50 now I’m interested … if it breaks back under $5.50, 5.40… 5.45.. 5.47…5.40.. 5.45.. and can’t make it any higher I’ll more than likely be short. I would cover if it rebreaks either highs or $5.50 mark.

[Sun Mar 15 17:32:33 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive Right away I know my exit — most times you can take advantage of this since people trade stocks for one reason $$ (they have to lock their profits in sometime, if it starts to turn the corner more than likely once a few take the profits and it starts hitting $5.25,5.20 etc people will lock in their profits before they give up the .50-1.00 gain they had that day.

[Sun Mar 15 17:32:52 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive ZINC another good example http://tinyurl.com/cv274z how I may watch the HOD list and jump in on a long since its been hitting HODs all day .. trades sideways.. holds gains and then re-breaks HOD (the same chat pattern I went over last seminar)

[Sun Mar 15 17:33:08 PDT 2009] Muddy this imo is important….(Mar 15-20:31) Muddy: don’t go looking for it on a stock on watch… (Mar 15-20:31) Muddy: let it come to you!

[Sun Mar 15 17:33:19 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive agree

[Sun Mar 15 17:33:33 PDT 2009] Muddy cause you start to overthink

[Sun Mar 15 17:33:56 PDT 2009] Muddy if you dont see it on p/m dont even follow it

[Sun Mar 15 17:34:24 PDT 2009] Muddy here’s one thing if you do see it on p/m leader…

[Sun Mar 15 17:34:50 PDT 2009] Muddy you first see it at say 15% up 40 mins before open…

[Sun Mar 15 17:35:11 PDT 2009] Muddy then it falls to say 5% before close…

[Sun Mar 15 17:35:29 PDT 2009] Muddy if it starts to run off that 5% at open…

[Sun Mar 15 17:35:52 PDT 2009] Muddy chances are very good it will hit that 15% or more later

[Sun Mar 15 17:36:02 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive You’re not going to catch every single breakout (on the long side) in fact probably won’t catch 95% of them, but you’ll SEE 95% of them, sometimes I watch HODs clicking until they start to level off – once I see the fade start I’m short biased and paying attention near even dollar mark, X.50 mark, or red/green green/red mark

[Sun Mar 15 17:36:36 PDT 2009] Muddy you do the same with the p/m losers..the big ones

[Sun Mar 15 17:36:59 PDT 2009] Muddy say its down 20% then you see it up to 10%

[Sun Mar 15 17:37:09 PDT 2009] Muddy it opens 20% down..

[Sun Mar 15 17:37:16 PDT 2009] pathan786 IL – to your comment – are you looking at specific stocks in HOD list .. or just looking at scrolling speeds of HOD/LOD to see market direction

[Sun Mar 15 17:37:30 PDT 2009] Muddy the odds are big it will up to 10% inn the 1st hour

[Sun Mar 15 17:37:40 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive I look at SPY/INDU/FAZ/FAS to get my market direction

[Sun Mar 15 17:37:51 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive HOD/LOD list is for when I’m not invovled with banks

[Sun Mar 15 17:37:54 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive middle of the day etc

[Sun Mar 15 17:38:10 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive right now WFC PRU FAZ FAS and all other banks is really all I need the first hour

[Sun Mar 15 17:38:28 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive after_13:30-11 when I start looking for plays – in comes the HOD/LOD list

[Sun Mar 15 17:39:09 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive but that’s MY WAY

[Sun Mar 15 17:39:17 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive as you know Muddy and I do a LOT the same

[Sun Mar 15 17:39:24 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive but everyone has their OWN ‘style’

[Sun Mar 15 17:39:37 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive you’ll all adapt to what you find works for you

[Sun Mar 15 17:39:37 PDT 2009] Laura neither hod/lod list very helpful first hour of day due to speed they move. Since of course, every stock has a hod and lod at open.

[Sun Mar 15 17:40:00 PDT 2009] Laura After that though, we start to notice stocks we know on the list….those are of interest.

[Sun Mar 15 17:40:09 PDT 2009] pathan786 good point

[Sun Mar 15 17:40:17 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive and with that its cherry picked from symbols that we have seen

[Sun Mar 15 17:40:21 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive if I see a stock on Muddys scans

[Sun Mar 15 17:40:22 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive or my scans

[Sun Mar 15 17:40:26 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive I already know what it looks like

[Sun Mar 15 17:40:31 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive then I can react that much faster

[Sun Mar 15 17:40:47 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive sometimes i don’t even see the other symbols….. if I notice a few off scans

[Sun Mar 15 17:40:53 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive those are my priority (or pre list)

[Sun Mar 15 17:41:21 PDT 2009] stonespeaks Do you look for bouces off big selloffs?

[Sun Mar 15 17:41:33 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive yes PSYS perfect example 5-7 days ago

[Sun Mar 15 17:41:41 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive many in here played..

[Sun Mar 15 17:41:59 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive You don’t want to “guess” or “catch a falling knife”

[Sun Mar 15 17:42:12 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive let it come to you, let it start to turn, form some support and go WITH the flow

[Sun Mar 15 17:42:50 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive if you try to catch it after dropping $4 bucks (HUGE drop!) you could be $7 bucks too soon (in the case of PSYS)

[Sun Mar 15 17:43:37 PDT 2009] pathan786 Question: After an alert goes out in the chat, what are the sequence of steps we should take – to make a trade with conviction and not just guess.

[Sun Mar 15 17:43:50 PDT 2009] Muddy back to p/m for a min…..there’s 3 things i’d like to explain in addition…..

[Sun Mar 15 17:43:51 PDT 2009] pathan786 like bring up chart / quote box etc etc

[Sun Mar 15 17:43:54 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive pathan – off topic questions feel free to send to me

[Sun Mar 15 17:44:04 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive we are going question by question that were sent in

[Sun Mar 15 17:44:06 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive will get to em

[Sun Mar 15 17:44:28 PDT 2009] Muddy late hits…..regarding volume…

[Sun Mar 15 17:44:54 PDT 2009] Muddy ones that hit late often have maybe only 1000 shares

[Sun Mar 15 17:45:25 PDT 2009] Muddy but thats great on the ones that have late news or late e/r

[Sun Mar 15 17:46:07 PDT 2009] Muddy the other is ones that are on awhile.say 40 mins or so but had little vol…

[Sun Mar 15 17:46:44 PDT 2009] Muddy then it jumps the vol BUT not on % increase…

[Sun Mar 15 17:47:07 PDT 2009] Muddy these often jump in price right out of the gate…

[Sun Mar 15 17:47:16 PDT 2009] Muddy happens a bunch..

[Sun Mar 15 17:47:24 PDT 2009] littercritter does the chatroom encourage or discourage traders reporting their trades?

[Sun Mar 15 17:47:37 PDT 2009] Muddy vol builds near close of p/m…

[Sun Mar 15 17:47:51 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive litter PM plz

[Sun Mar 15 17:48:12 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive guys on topic questions regarding the last question answered – other questions PM me

[Sun Mar 15 17:48:31 PDT 2009] Muddy all the orders stacking up but ib does not report the true price of these bids

[Sun Mar 15 17:49:02 PDT 2009] Muddy then the open and its a mad rush…watch ,you will see this….

[Sun Mar 15 17:49:22 PDT 2009] Muddy especially on hot sector stocks!

[Sun Mar 15 17:49:42 PDT 2009] Muddy when solars were hot

[Sun Mar 15 17:49:55 PDT 2009] Muddy it was easy pickings on these kind

[Sun Mar 15 17:50:04 PDT 2009] Muddy same when China’s

[Sun Mar 15 17:50:05 PDT 2009] stonespeaks How do you track volume changes in PM. Charts don’t show the action. Is this just something you need to be watching?

[Sun Mar 15 17:50:14 PDT 2009] Muddy now its the shippers

[Sun Mar 15 17:50:32 PDT 2009] Muddy hot aka “followed”

[Sun Mar 15 17:50:34 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive stone – depends on ur broker at www.speedtrader.com I have pre market quotes/charts/time and sales etc

[Sun Mar 15 17:50:44 PDT 2009] Muddy i dont use charts

[Sun Mar 15 17:50:45 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive IB shows vol and ticks

[Sun Mar 15 17:50:51 PDT 2009] Muddy i use ib gainers list

[Sun Mar 15 17:52:19 PDT 2009] Muddy heres what i def would do if i couldnt remember the symbols so good in p/m…

[Sun Mar 15 17:52:48 PDT 2009] Muddy i would write down the vol and % up or down

[Sun Mar 15 17:52:57 PDT 2009] Muddy at say 9 am

[Sun Mar 15 17:53:17 PDT 2009] Muddy then check back every 5 mins on ones i was interested

[Sun Mar 15 17:53:24 PDT 2009] Muddy try to get a gauge

[Sun Mar 15 17:53:44 PDT 2009] Muddy most dont change much, granted but a few do

[Sun Mar 15 17:53:50 PDT 2009] stonespeaks Good….no …. great idea thank you

[Sun Mar 15 17:53:59 PDT 2009] Muddy they are the ones i’d really focus on

[Sun Mar 15 17:54:17 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive agreed

[Sun Mar 15 17:54:32 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive theres always a good list pre, but theres a strong 5 that catch your attention

[Sun Mar 15 17:54:40 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive more so than others

[Sun Mar 15 17:55:08 PDT 2009] Laura IL, next

[Sun Mar 15 17:55:17 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive How do you, Muddy, and others – spot the break-outs

[Sun Mar 15 17:56:10 PDT 2009] Muddy well i use 4 monitors,so i flip the lists but the wehole key is the scrolling hod list

[Sun Mar 15 17:56:29 PDT 2009] Muddy i’ve trained my eyes over the years

[Sun Mar 15 17:56:52 PDT 2009] Muddy and because i run the important scans…

[Sun Mar 15 17:57:02 PDT 2009] Muddy the symbols are in my head

[Sun Mar 15 17:57:09 PDT 2009] Muddy it becomes natural

[Sun Mar 15 17:57:38 PDT 2009] Muddy and yes the first 15 mins it scrolls nuts but…

[Sun Mar 15 17:57:57 PDT 2009] Muddy imo most folks shouldnt be trading then anyway…

[Sun Mar 15 17:58:06 PDT 2009] Muddy but…

[Sun Mar 15 17:58:28 PDT 2009] Muddy the ones you can jump at open are the pharmas

[Sun Mar 15 17:58:50 PDT 2009] Muddy that are up say 20% into the close of pre

[Sun Mar 15 17:59:19 PDT 2009] Muddy you can get 20% fast on many but you gotta take profit…

[Sun Mar 15 17:59:43 PDT 2009] Muddy do not worry how much,IF,you left on the table cause..

[Sun Mar 15 17:59:50 PDT 2009] Muddy imo it was a gift…

[Sun Mar 15 18:00:13 PDT 2009] Muddy its just another angle..

[Sun Mar 15 18:00:35 PDT 2009] Muddy add all the angles up end of week…imo thats what counts

[Sun Mar 15 18:00:54 PDT 2009] maniac a lot of times they come back in afternoon to take out the morning gains, too

[Sun Mar 15 18:01:05 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive especially in this market

[Sun Mar 15 18:01:18 PDT 2009] Muddy right maniac…and another point….

[Sun Mar 15 18:01:52 PDT 2009] Muddy i often get bigger gains cause i trade only 1/30th of acct on a stock

[Sun Mar 15 18:02:05 PDT 2009] Muddy so i dont get squirrly

[Sun Mar 15 18:02:14 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive exactly big point there too

[Sun Mar 15 18:02:18 PDT 2009] Muddy yes

[Sun Mar 15 18:02:18 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive which hits on a convo after hours Friday

[Sun Mar 15 18:02:26 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive some1 discussing his trading on Friday

[Sun Mar 15 18:02:28 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive wasn’t doing to well

[Sun Mar 15 18:02:36 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive asked him about how he was doing it

[Sun Mar 15 18:02:41 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive basically going all in each time

[Sun Mar 15 18:02:50 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive all in = 8-10k

[Sun Mar 15 18:02:55 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive but it doesn’t give u a lot of wiggle room

[Sun Mar 15 18:03:02 PDT 2009] Muddy no see,i would stink like that

[Sun Mar 15 18:03:05 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive and if you’re down .05 cents on $3k worth of a position

[Sun Mar 15 18:03:12 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive no big deal… u have room for it to wiggle around

[Sun Mar 15 18:03:18 PDT 2009] Muddy just say you have $5k

[Sun Mar 15 18:03:23 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive if each penny is $30 bucks

[Sun Mar 15 18:03:27 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive ur gonna get in trouble

[Sun Mar 15 18:03:32 PDT 2009] Muddy i would trade 1/5 a stock

[Sun Mar 15 18:03:48 PDT 2009] Muddy until i built it up which brings up…

[Sun Mar 15 18:04:13 PDT 2009] Muddy the BEST r/r imo are the pre leaders gone red!

[Sun Mar 15 18:04:37 PDT 2009] Muddy i’ve said this bunch of times but thats what i’d focus on..

[Sun Mar 15 18:05:07 PDT 2009] Muddy shorting imo is much easier if on small acct..

[Sun Mar 15 18:05:37 PDT 2009] Muddy i’d long the stocks over $10 0n b/o’s….

[Sun Mar 15 18:05:52 PDT 2009] Muddy short pre leads that go red

[Sun Mar 15 18:06:21 PDT 2009] maniac gap fills? or not necessarily?

[Sun Mar 15 18:06:24 PDT 2009] Muddy but when you beat the pdt rule anything goes…

[Sun Mar 15 18:06:24 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive exactly

[Sun Mar 15 18:06:29 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive $1 dollar stocks

[Sun Mar 15 18:06:34 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive too volatile for a lil acct

[Sun Mar 15 18:06:45 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive r/r Muddy has seen many in his years… its the best chance

[Sun Mar 15 18:06:47 PDT 2009] Muddy which leads back to CY if you are game to try it

[Sun Mar 15 18:06:58 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive exactly

[Sun Mar 15 18:07:12 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive now one other thing regarding breakouts

[Sun Mar 15 18:07:27 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive because I was talking to the person who asked this, and they also wanted to know a bit beyond the HOD list

[Sun Mar 15 18:07:35 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive as far as seeing it intraday

[Sun Mar 15 18:07:38 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive so…

[Sun Mar 15 18:07:45 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive More along the lines of when its about to break higher (accelerated move). This is what I look for since I am more of a 1min to 15 min trader vs. trying to hold all day. If you notice many times I mentioned I am expecting an accelerated move on the break of $4.25.. or HOD whatever it may be.

[Sun Mar 15 18:07:51 PDT 2009] Muddy its funny cause the small acct folks do it opposite…

[Sun Mar 15 18:08:06 PDT 2009] Muddy they trade the real low priced ones

[Sun Mar 15 18:08:27 PDT 2009] John doh story of my life

[Sun Mar 15 18:08:31 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive Once I see increased volume (more players in the market) its not a short squeeze per say but almost like a mini squeeze — sometimes I’m on the wrong side of a trade, before I get in the trade I know where I will cut my losses, many other traders probably have the same thoughts I’m covering their because I expect it to break higher.

[Sun Mar 15 18:08:36 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive Same thing when you’re on the other side, if you’re holding long and it starts to break higher and then takes out HODs again there’s a good chance some people who didn’t think it’d break HOD will be covering.. thus accelerated move and increased volume aka breakout

[Sun Mar 15 18:09:01 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive many people use short squeeze and squeezing incorrectly – so don’t confuse it

[Sun Mar 15 18:09:29 PDT 2009] Muddy so true

[Sun Mar 15 18:09:54 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive BUT I do play off that accelerated move a lot because I know as a trader… where my pressure point would be

[Sun Mar 15 18:09:56 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive and where I’d cut my loss

[Sun Mar 15 18:10:17 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive and you’ll see that accelerated move as others either cover/take their losses before a stock moves up to the next level

[Sun Mar 15 18:10:26 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive that’s why I focus on the “launch pad” style I went over last time

[Sun Mar 15 18:11:08 PDT 2009] pathan786 IL you mentioned – once I see increased volume .. .. you mean on intra-day chart ?

[Sun Mar 15 18:11:15 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive 1 min yes

[Sun Mar 15 18:11:29 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive and

[Sun Mar 15 18:11:35 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive that same thing that I see…

[Sun Mar 15 18:11:41 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive is in Muddy‘s mind the jig a lot o ftimes

[Sun Mar 15 18:11:45 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive of times*

[Sun Mar 15 18:11:55 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive starts flipping.. everyone shifting gears and POP

[Sun Mar 15 18:12:29 PDT 2009] Muddy today i had a great 1 on 1 with one of our members and i was explaining the consolidation part…the way IL uses it…

[Sun Mar 15 18:12:49 PDT 2009] Muddy you need the patience…..

[Sun Mar 15 18:13:04 PDT 2009] Muddy but on these aka dayrangers…

[Sun Mar 15 18:13:27 PDT 2009] Muddy you will get a break almost everyday

[Sun Mar 15 18:13:37 PDT 2009] Muddy either long or short

[Sun Mar 15 18:14:18 PDT 2009] Muddy and i was using that 3,5 min candle S/R we talked about on an earlier seminar….

[Sun Mar 15 18:14:24 PDT 2009] tv what is r/r?

[Sun Mar 15 18:14:26 PDT 2009] Muddy you wait

[Sun Mar 15 18:14:29 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive risk/reward

[Sun Mar 15 18:14:29 PDT 2009] Muddy and wait

[Sun Mar 15 18:15:08 PDT 2009] Muddy you don’t rush it…the gains are too easy when you get the break

[Sun Mar 15 18:15:20 PDT 2009] Muddy either up long or short down

[Sun Mar 15 18:15:35 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive and tying it all together… this is why I take 1/2 off usually pretty soon after the breakout because I am in bigger than I am comfortable to be if I want to ride it all day and not worry about the .05-.10 move

[Sun Mar 15 18:15:39 PDT 2009] Muddy they are dayrangers for a reason…

[Sun Mar 15 18:16:02 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive I am good at finding the breakouts, take advantage of it with a little bit bigger size.. but then go back to by comfort zone if I want to hold it like Muddy does

[Sun Mar 15 18:16:23 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive because just like him or you, if you’re in too big… you’re not giving yourself a fair chance to be right

[Sun Mar 15 18:16:39 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive because you’re too worried about the adverse move

[Sun Mar 15 18:17:01 PDT 2009] Muddy say on the 3,5 min method the S is 4 and R 4.20…

[Sun Mar 15 18:17:21 PDT 2009] Muddy this is nothing,this range,for a high dayranger

[Sun Mar 15 18:18:07 PDT 2009] Muddy its like 5%,many have 15%+ in them

[Sun Mar 15 18:19:00 PDT 2009] Muddy you just put on your watch and wait

[Sun Mar 15 18:19:28 PDT 2009] Muddy and go on to another and/or another angle…

[Sun Mar 15 18:19:53 PDT 2009] Muddy that is why trading without the pdt rule is so good…

[Sun Mar 15 18:20:25 PDT 2009] Muddy just say you go 3/4 on each angle i use over a week

[Sun Mar 15 18:20:41 PDT 2009] tv what is S and R?

[Sun Mar 15 18:20:58 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive support and resistance

[Sun Mar 15 18:21:09 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive http://www.investorsunderground.com/chat-room-acronyms/

[Sun Mar 15 18:21:13 PDT 2009] Muddy you can do like 15 out of 20 a week,it adds up

[Sun Mar 15 18:21:26 PDT 2009] Muddy with small positions too

[Sun Mar 15 18:22:51 PDT 2009] Muddy and your confidence builds..its not being cocky..its just the feel you get

[Sun Mar 15 18:23:11 PDT 2009] Muddy that you can control the odds

[Sun Mar 15 18:23:44 PDT 2009] Muddy but the main thing is….

[Sun Mar 15 18:24:03 PDT 2009] Muddy imo,you cannot trade with scared money….

[Sun Mar 15 18:24:19 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive truth

[Sun Mar 15 18:24:27 PDT 2009] Muddy respect the market yes…but thats different from being scared

[Sun Mar 15 18:24:43 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive whether you want to amit it or not – it impacts your judgement

[Sun Mar 15 18:24:52 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive admit*

[Sun Mar 15 18:25:00 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive you need to have a clear head trading

[Sun Mar 15 18:25:00 PDT 2009] Muddy thats why i cant trade large

[Sun Mar 15 18:25:29 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive that’s why I trade more $5-20 stocks Muddy-style vs. AAPL every day

[Sun Mar 15 18:25:56 PDT 2009] Muddy me too

[Sun Mar 15 18:26:44 PDT 2009] stonespeaks You go fairly large on FAZ someitmes. Doncha

[Sun Mar 15 18:26:51 PDT 2009] Laura next Q IL?

[Sun Mar 15 18:27:07 PDT 2009] Muddy oh yeah FAZ,but thats a quick scalp

[Sun Mar 15 18:27:24 PDT 2009] Muddy i can go 400 shares

[Sun Mar 15 18:27:49 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive 401 = scared

[Sun Mar 15 18:27:52 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive hehe

[Sun Mar 15 18:28:05 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive Question: I want to trade on technical and not on instinct (since I am not that aware of past runner’s and stuff).. what are the key things I should be looking at

[Sun Mar 15 18:28:17 PDT 2009] Muddy even when it was 100 but remember… i’ve traded 40+ years

[Sun Mar 15 18:28:28 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive I think this one — for me you can apply the same stuff I do during the day

[Sun Mar 15 18:28:32 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive on the daily/monthly charts

[Sun Mar 15 18:28:34 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive Last seminar you can see the charts here: http://www.InvestorsLive.com/seminar but I’d suggest taking a look at the actual seminar so you can see what I said to go along each one – you can apply what I said to the recent breakouts on APKT swing, CAB daily charts and ZINC intraday chart (same setups)

[Sun Mar 15 18:28:39 PDT 2009] Muddy so dont follow me on those big trades

[Sun Mar 15 18:28:59 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive when doing my scans at night I look for similar patterns

[Sun Mar 15 18:29:14 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive at times I trade whats on my scans, but they are more showing you what i see in a chart

[Sun Mar 15 18:29:19 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive support/resistance

[Sun Mar 15 18:29:24 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive etc

[Sun Mar 15 18:29:45 PDT 2009] Muddy but after 40 yrs..i trade smallish relative to my acct on bread and butter trades

[Sun Mar 15 18:29:46 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive then when you look at a chart on you’re own you’ll start to pick it up quickly as well

[Sun Mar 15 18:30:36 PDT 2009] pathan786 Are you looking for any chart patterns on those scans

[Sun Mar 15 18:30:51 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive mainly are percentage gainers and I take a look at where their resistance is/was

[Sun Mar 15 18:30:51 PDT 2009] Muddy yes on the pre’s i do

[Sun Mar 15 18:30:55 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive and points of interest

[Sun Mar 15 18:30:56 PDT 2009] pathan786 and also any Candlesticks for breakour/reversals etc (daily charts)

[Sun Mar 15 18:31:19 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive its not so much candlesticks

[Sun Mar 15 18:31:23 PDT 2009] Muddy the pre’s i love the big gainers ..

[Sun Mar 15 18:31:24 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive its whole # areas

[Sun Mar 15 18:31:31 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive support/resistance areas is why I look at charts

[Sun Mar 15 18:31:34 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive and I think Muddy as well

[Sun Mar 15 18:31:37 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive to get a quick guide

[Sun Mar 15 18:31:48 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive reading into each candle.. no

[Sun Mar 15 18:31:57 PDT 2009] Laura Candles on breakouts on Green on the Screen, the white candle pierced by the UBB with RSI 2 over 90

[Sun Mar 15 18:31:58 PDT 2009] Muddy that have awful charts….

[Sun Mar 15 18:32:22 PDT 2009] Muddy awful charts as in big downtrend….

[Sun Mar 15 18:32:26 PDT 2009] pathan786 how far back do you go looking for S/R on daily charts

[Sun Mar 15 18:32:35 PDT 2009] Muddy this is where i use RSI2

[Sun Mar 15 18:32:59 PDT 2009] pathan786 I recall that system@ Muddy and Laura – Kiss of death!

[Sun Mar 15 18:33:02 PDT 2009] Muddy if RSI2 is under 2..

[Sun Mar 15 18:33:04 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive pathan – i show it in my daily scans

[Sun Mar 15 18:33:10 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive if i dont see it in 3 month chart, i go back 6

[Sun Mar 15 18:33:15 PDT 2009] pathan786 they are 3 month

[Sun Mar 15 18:33:16 PDT 2009] Muddy and on pre leaders pretty big up..

[Sun Mar 15 18:33:40 PDT 2009] Muddy i will short at will OFF 4% hod at will

[Sun Mar 15 18:34:00 PDT 2009] pathan786 squeeze/vol/break and kiss of death .. right ? @ Laura ?

[Sun Mar 15 18:34:14 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive thats good Muddy that leads into the next question – u just hit it

[Sun Mar 15 18:34:17 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive When a stock has run up a lot in a few days, and it starts to fade, at which point would you enter on the short side? Is there a certain percentage off that HOD that you use as a rule of thumb like how Muddy says to wait until a 2-3% pullback on pre-list stocks that have run up?

[Sun Mar 15 18:34:26 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive (Mar 15-21:33) Muddy: and on pre leaders pretty big up.. (Mar 15-21:33) Muddy: i will short at will OFF 4% hod at will

[Sun Mar 15 18:35:38 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive Question: Can you please explain what the term “rip” means and add it to the chat acronyms page? I have an idea, but it has nothing to do with trading stocks.

[Sun Mar 15 18:35:43 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive hehe

[Sun Mar 15 18:35:46 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive comon!

[Sun Mar 15 18:36:07 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive starting to rip – breaking out

[Sun Mar 15 18:36:35 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive Muddy I think you were on to something good before – we can hit that again, pathan if you have questions in middle (and others) PM me

[Sun Mar 15 18:36:37 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive so Muddy can finish

[Sun Mar 15 18:36:41 PDT 2009] Muddy this a big deal don’t discount it..the RSI2 on pre leaders

[Sun Mar 15 18:37:31 PDT 2009] Muddy and if they go red..even better

[Sun Mar 15 18:38:01 PDT 2009] Muddy but like i said….4% off hods are good r/r on these

[Sun Mar 15 18:39:07 PDT 2009] Muddy (Mar 15-21:33) pathan786: squeeze/vol/break and kiss of death .. right ? @ Laura ?

[Sun Mar 15 18:40:05 PDT 2009] Muddy no.in fact if RSI2 is 90+ its a sign on strenght

[Sun Mar 15 18:40:28 PDT 2009] Muddy remember the candle is NOT a floater

[Sun Mar 15 18:40:40 PDT 2009] Muddy its being pierced by the ubb

[Sun Mar 15 18:41:19 PDT 2009] Muddy its the reds ABOVE the ubb that are usally the end of run

[Sun Mar 15 18:41:42 PDT 2009] Muddy not the whites pierced

[Sun Mar 15 18:41:50 PDT 2009] toefur DIN for red floater

[Sun Mar 15 18:42:06 PDT 2009] Muddy especially the ones with RSI2 above 90

[Sun Mar 15 18:42:15 PDT 2009] Muddy yes DIN

[Sun Mar 15 18:43:11 PDT 2009] Muddy with DIN i’d love to see it open near 9

[Sun Mar 15 18:43:41 PDT 2009] Muddy if it can’t break 9,i’d short say 9.80’s

[Sun Mar 15 18:44:02 PDT 2009] Muddy if it opens red then i’d watch that flatine

[Sun Mar 15 18:44:33 PDT 2009] Laura short 8.80s*

[Sun Mar 15 18:44:36 PDT 2009] Muddy watch the first 3,5 min candles

[Sun Mar 15 18:44:51 PDT 2009] Muddy gauge the S/R on those

[Sun Mar 15 18:45:00 PDT 2009] Muddy yes sorry 8.80’s

[Sun Mar 15 18:45:45 PDT 2009] pathan786 STEC, ATHR and ISIL too – Red floaters

[Sun Mar 15 18:48:04 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive Any other questions guys?

[Sun Mar 15 18:48:15 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive about stuff covered tonight

[Sun Mar 15 18:48:37 PDT 2009] John doh What about chasing trades if they go the wrong way

[Sun Mar 15 18:48:55 PDT 2009] Muddy the one thing about that 3,5 min candle method if you want to follow it….

[Sun Mar 15 18:49:22 PDT 2009] Muddy only focus on the last 3,nothing before

[Sun Mar 15 18:49:38 PDT 2009] Ace_Rockolla On the peircing the UBB, what time frame are we looking at, day?

[Sun Mar 15 18:49:56 PDT 2009] Laura Ace, we use 3 month daily charts for those

[Sun Mar 15 18:49:59 PDT 2009] Laura not intraday

[Sun Mar 15 18:50:53 PDT 2009] Laura John, chase how?

[Sun Mar 15 18:51:01 PDT 2009] Laura Chasing never good tho

[Sun Mar 15 18:51:18 PDT 2009] John doh As in you go long on a trade, find out you short of shorted so you get out from long and go short.

[Sun Mar 15 18:51:58 PDT 2009] Muddy sure,i’ll flip a trade

[Sun Mar 15 18:51:58 PDT 2009] Laura Well that’s not chasing, that’s flipping and going the other way.

[Sun Mar 15 18:52:07 PDT 2009] John doh I mean, see the stock went the other way opposite of how you went in.. so you go in the other way, dude, I can’t type

[Sun Mar 15 18:52:15 PDT 2009] Muddy yes

[Sun Mar 15 18:52:29 PDT 2009] Laura Dude, I know 😀

[Sun Mar 15 18:52:38 PDT 2009] Muddy but only on a stock with high dayrange for me

[Sun Mar 15 18:52:52 PDT 2009] Muddy like now….

[Sun Mar 15 18:53:05 PDT 2009] Muddy 15% is considered high

[Sun Mar 15 18:53:18 PDT 2009] John doh Thanks

[Sun Mar 15 18:53:33 PDT 2009] Muddy few weeks it might be 13%

[Sun Mar 15 18:53:39 PDT 2009] Muddy or 18%

[Sun Mar 15 18:53:57 PDT 2009] Muddy depends on the market overall

[Sun Mar 15 18:54:16 PDT 2009] Muddy and if you run the dayranger scan once a week…

[Sun Mar 15 18:54:25 PDT 2009] Muddy you can see it change

[Sun Mar 15 18:54:56 PDT 2009] Muddy 2 years ago 8% was high

[Sun Mar 15 18:57:09 PDT 2009] Laura timmay loves us

[Sun Mar 15 18:57:34 PDT 2009] Muddy beta pertains to the whole market too but i don’t follow it

[Sun Mar 15 18:58:30 PDT 2009] Muddy If a stock moves less than the market, the stock’s beta is less than 1.0. High-beta stocks are supposed to be riskier but provide a potential for higher

[Sun Mar 15 18:59:07 PDT 2009] maniac i used to scan for the highest beta stocks – theres some overlap with you ADR scan – many symbols show up on both

[Sun Mar 15 18:59:19 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive the only high beta stocks I care about is FAS and FAZ

[Sun Mar 15 18:59:20 PDT 2009] Muddy sure

[Sun Mar 15 18:59:50 PDT 2009] maniac k thanks

[Sun Mar 15 19:00:19 PDT 2009] Muddy if the market is going up, high beta stocks should be going up 1.5x

[Sun Mar 15 19:00:32 PDT 2009] John doh Muddy, another question on jig. Do you throw every potential stock in the Qbox to check for jig or just pre leaders.. any certain stocks you allocate more for the jig than others?

[Sun Mar 15 19:00:43 PDT 2009] Muddy but ADR for me much easier to track

[Sun Mar 15 19:00:48 PDT 2009] John doh I couldn’t find answer in seminar 1

[Sun Mar 15 19:01:08 PDT 2009] Laura John, we mostly spot ones on the hod list and get a quote

[Sun Mar 15 19:01:16 PDT 2009] Muddy john….only ones i see on the hod list

[Sun Mar 15 19:01:29 PDT 2009] Laura you can’t watch them all

[Sun Mar 15 19:01:40 PDT 2009] Muddy but see…

[Sun Mar 15 19:01:49 PDT 2009] Laura see one hit the hod list 20 times in 5 seconds…….oh yeah

[Sun Mar 15 19:02:18 PDT 2009] Muddy i know which ones are on my scans cause i go over and over them the night before…

[Sun Mar 15 19:02:34 PDT 2009] Muddy sort of like a pre game ritual

[Sun Mar 15 19:03:04 PDT 2009] lxman like studying for a spelling test?

[Sun Mar 15 19:03:21 PDT 2009] Muddy yes….like PQ now

[Sun Mar 15 19:03:42 PDT 2009] Muddy i didn’t know it a few days ago…

[Sun Mar 15 19:03:51 PDT 2009] Muddy now i’ll never forget it

[Sun Mar 15 19:04:15 PDT 2009] Muddy you can use the adr10 increase over 30

[Sun Mar 15 19:04:15 PDT 2009] Laura right, how many do we know from 3-4 years ago?

[Sun Mar 15 19:04:22 PDT 2009] Laura never forget them

[Sun Mar 15 19:04:41 PDT 2009] Laura LJPC a sleeper for couple years, but they come back.

[Sun Mar 15 19:04:59 PDT 2009] Muddy look at PQ…

[Sun Mar 15 19:05:23 PDT 2009] Muddy adr 30 is 18 which in itself is good but..

[Sun Mar 15 19:05:35 PDT 2009] Muddy adr10 is 35!

[Sun Mar 15 19:05:50 PDT 2009] Muddy i want to trade this

[Sun Mar 15 19:06:56 PDT 2009] Muddy NCS which i shorted huge….

[Sun Mar 15 19:07:18 PDT 2009] Muddy 15 t0 28 adr

[Sun Mar 15 19:07:26 PDT 2009] Muddy btw ..

[Sun Mar 15 19:07:46 PDT 2009] Muddy NCS was a super short when it was a pre leader

[Sun Mar 15 19:08:00 PDT 2009] Muddy it dropped to red then got smoked…

[Sun Mar 15 19:08:11 PDT 2009] Muddy i didnt even wait for red..

[Sun Mar 15 19:08:22 PDT 2009] Muddy i shorted 4% off hods

[Sun Mar 15 19:08:44 PDT 2009] Muddy and as i said..

[Sun Mar 15 19:08:59 PDT 2009] Muddy if i had a smaller acct…these are the ones…

[Sun Mar 15 19:09:08 PDT 2009] Muddy pre leaders gone bad

[Sun Mar 15 19:09:35 PDT 2009] Muddy twice this week NCS did it

[Sun Mar 15 19:09:39 PDT 2009] Muddy pre gone bad

[Sun Mar 15 19:10:14 PDT 2009] Muddy so if NCS a pre leader tomorrow

[Sun Mar 15 19:10:30 PDT 2009] Muddy you just gotta watch for a drop off

[Sun Mar 15 19:10:46 PDT 2009] Muddy cause these kind run in cycles

[Sun Mar 15 19:12:10 PDT 2009] Muddy the top dayranger is CACB…

[Sun Mar 15 19:12:20 PDT 2009] Muddy this is a junker….

[Sun Mar 15 19:12:40 PDT 2009] slee are you always looking to short off pre high of day list?

[Sun Mar 15 19:12:47 PDT 2009] Muddy imo…shorting these much easier than going long

[Sun Mar 15 19:12:48 PDT 2009] slee or long as well

[Sun Mar 15 19:12:58 PDT 2009] Muddy on no…long too

[Sun Mar 15 19:14:04 PDT 2009] slee how long into trading day do you wait to go long off pre market highs?

[Sun Mar 15 19:14:12 PDT 2009] Muddy over/under then OVER

[Sun Mar 15 19:14:33 PDT 2009] Muddy usually at least 20 mins

[Sun Mar 15 19:14:41 PDT 2009] Muddy unless pharma news

[Sun Mar 15 19:15:24 PDT 2009] slee but you go short if 4% pull back of pre

[Sun Mar 15 19:15:26 PDT 2009] Muddy (Mar 15-22:14) Muddy: over/under then OVER…for longs great angle

[Sun Mar 15 19:15:35 PDT 2009] Muddy yes if….

[Sun Mar 15 19:15:50 PDT 2009] Muddy it is bad chart

[Sun Mar 15 19:16:04 PDT 2009] Muddy RSI2 as i said.low

[Sun Mar 15 19:16:14 PDT 2009] Muddy then the 4%

[Sun Mar 15 19:16:20 PDT 2009] Muddy off hods

[Sun Mar 15 19:16:26 PDT 2009] slee ok, over under round number i.e. 5?

[Sun Mar 15 19:17:31 PDT 2009] Muddy you want to beat them at their own game

[Sun Mar 15 19:17:47 PDT 2009] Muddy that’s why i like to wait

[Sun Mar 15 19:18:14 PDT 2009] Muddy if say 2.50 is taken out…

[Sun Mar 15 19:18:32 PDT 2009] Muddy then it can drop near 2 fast at times…

[Sun Mar 15 19:18:39 PDT 2009] slee I’m trading with cygroup started with 5k now upto 5.5k, did you recommend only shorting to build account?

[Sun Mar 15 19:31:16 PDT 2009] John doh Laura and Muddy, question for both of you. Do you guys ever just call out shots to each other and get in and out at the same times for the same plays? Basically doubling one or the other’s gains?

[Sun Mar 15 19:31:27 PDT 2009] Laura no

[Sun Mar 15 19:31:30 PDT 2009] Muddy but see i’m not antsy cause…

[Sun Mar 15 19:34:35 PDT 2009] Laura there’s too many stocks…..he’ll short something I wasnt even watching

[Sun Mar 15 19:34:57 PDT 2009] Laura so no doubling up unless it’s deliberate

[Sun Mar 15 19:34:59 PDT 2009] Muddy i totally missed RAS but it was on my under 1 d/r list

[Sun Mar 15 19:35:08 PDT 2009] Muddy i put up quote…

[Sun Mar 15 19:35:15 PDT 2009] Muddy way jiggy..

[Sun Mar 15 19:36:28 PDT 2009] Muddy why i use 4 monitors…

[Sun Mar 15 19:36:50 PDT 2009] Muddy not that you need 4 but it sure helps to have at least 2

[Sun Mar 15 19:36:50 PDT 2009] lxman gn all, tx much for your time . . .

[Sun Mar 15 19:37:29 PDT 2009] Muddy welcome..be sure to read the log on this later

[Sun Mar 15 19:37:57 PDT 2009] InvestorsLive yes will post around_14:30-12

[Sun Mar 15 19:38:00 PDT 2009] slee Muddy for most stocks between $1-10 I have been using upto $0.10 initial stops, you think not wide enough?

[Sun Mar 15 19:38:01 PDT 2009] lxman will do

[Sun Mar 15 19:38:31 PDT 2009] Muddy i think 4% unless near 2

[Sun Mar 15 19:38:43 PDT 2009] Muddy then i use like 6%

[Sun Mar 15 19:38:52 PDT 2009] Muddy but always mental…

[Sun Mar 15 19:39:17 PDT 2009] Muddy i want to see the action even down 6% many times

[Sun Mar 15 19:39:21 PDT 2009] Muddy but…

[Sun Mar 15 19:39:41 PDT 2009] Muddy this is why i love playing around even marks..

[Sun Mar 15 19:39:50 PDT 2009] stonespeaks What do you think about averaging down?

[Sun Mar 15 19:39:56 PDT 2009] Muddy say i go long at 3.05

[Sun Mar 15 19:40:16 PDT 2009] Muddy if it drops to mid 2.90’s i’ll just get out

[Sun Mar 15 19:40:35 PDT 2009] Muddy same short if say 2.95

[Sun Mar 15 19:41:05 PDT 2009] Muddy if its the first attempt at 3 cross i’ll just get out small loss…BUT

[Sun Mar 15 19:41:37 PDT 2009] Muddy if its the 2nd attempt…under/over/under

[Sun Mar 15 19:41:48 PDT 2009] Muddy then crosses the 2nd time…

[Sun Mar 15 19:42:02 PDT 2009] Muddy thats where i’ll flip long side..

[Sun Mar 15 19:42:16 PDT 2009] Muddy but only on the higher dayrangers

[Sun Mar 15 19:42:28 PDT 2009] slee do you only trade crosses 10/60 or riskier reversals even if 10/60 not aligned?

[Sun Mar 15 19:42:54 PDT 2009] slee i.e. if 10/60 above obviously long

[Sun Mar 15 19:43:06 PDT 2009] Muddy honest i don’t do the 10/60 often cause i have a feel without it…

[Sun Mar 15 19:43:15 PDT 2009] slee but would you also short if 10/60 above?

[Sun Mar 15 19:43:20 PDT 2009] Muddy but it works and i reco it

[Sun Mar 15 19:43:29 PDT 2009] Muddy to anyone newer

[Sun Mar 15 19:43:39 PDT 2009] slee you don’t always stick to the rule

[Sun Mar 15 19:43:46 PDT 2009] slee for safety

[Sun Mar 15 19:44:16 PDT 2009] Muddy no..see the 10/60 to me is old stuff…i was taught it in 2000

[Sun Mar 15 19:44:55 PDT 2009] Muddy and it works but i just trade so fast paced…with a feel…i don’t really even use charts…

[Sun Mar 15 19:45:10 PDT 2009] Muddy except for that 3,5 min s/r thing

[Sun Mar 15 19:45:25 PDT 2009] slee I was never sure if to short if 10 over 60 and vice versa?

[Sun Mar 15 19:45:40 PDT 2009] Muddy it doesnt matter…

[Sun Mar 15 19:45:46 PDT 2009] Muddy just a cross

[Sun Mar 15 19:45:56 PDT 2009] Muddy really doesnt

[Sun Mar 15 19:46:25 PDT 2009] Muddy whatever the last one was..the next is opposite signal

[Sun Mar 15 19:46:49 PDT 2009] Muddy if last a long..then next is sell or short

[Sun Mar 15 19:46:55 PDT 2009] slee just a cross, you mean ma not round number right?

[Sun Mar 15 19:47:26 PDT 2009] Muddy right, round numbers only make it better

[Sun Mar 15 19:47:40 PDT 2009] Muddy or so one thinks…

[Sun Mar 15 19:48:04 PDT 2009] Muddy but here is something i told the fellow today in our 1 on 1…

[Sun Mar 15 19:48:22 PDT 2009] Muddy the perfect setup you think…

[Sun Mar 15 19:48:37 PDT 2009] Muddy is often no better than a good setup…

[Sun Mar 15 19:49:09 PDT 2009] Muddy thats why i never commit more to a trade i think is “perfect”

[Sun Mar 15 19:49:15 PDT 2009] slee I take it then you gennerally look at the 5min over a number of days to determine the trade direction not just intraday

[Sun Mar 15 19:49:32 PDT 2009] Muddy cause it doesnt work that way…at least for me

[Sun Mar 15 19:49:44 PDT 2009] slee i.e. 3 day chart better than intraday for long or short

[Sun Mar 15 19:49:54 PDT 2009] Muddy well.most will be during this day

[Sun Mar 15 19:50:18 PDT 2009] Muddy you can catch some that just crossed eod yesy

[Sun Mar 15 19:50:29 PDT 2009] Muddy yest*

[Sun Mar 15 19:51:04 PDT 2009] Muddy but really i use 2.5 days cause the chart gets whack on scott if i don’t

[Sun Mar 15 19:51:45 PDT 2009] Muddy you cant see a cross on scott most times if just use the 1 day

[Sun Mar 15 19:51:55 PDT 2009] Muddy its a fault of scott

[Sun Mar 15 19:52:05 PDT 2009] Muddy but they have many,ha

[Sun Mar 15 19:52:05 PDT 2009] slee ok better to use 2.5 day single day to decide trade direction

[Sun Mar 15 19:52:16 PDT 2009] Muddy i just try to work around them

[Sun Mar 15 19:52:19 PDT 2009] slee than single day

[Sun Mar 15 19:52:29 PDT 2009] nghtrvn If you see a 10/60 forming, do you think it’s a good idea to catch it then with a stop in place or better to wait till it hits?

[Sun Mar 15 19:52:47 PDT 2009] Muddy yes cause 1 day it won’t show the cross today..its a scott fault

[Sun Mar 15 19:53:09 PDT 2009] Muddy ok,if if a touch say …

[Sun Mar 15 19:53:17 PDT 2009] slee better to predict than wait Muddy?

[Sun Mar 15 19:53:22 PDT 2009] Muddy and its got momo..

[Sun Mar 15 19:53:36 PDT 2009] Muddy you can pretty safely play it

[Sun Mar 15 19:54:00 PDT 2009] nghtrvn ok thanks

[Sun Mar 15 19:54:11 PDT 2009] Muddy heres another example of playing small…

[Sun Mar 15 19:54:21 PDT 2009] Muddy if smallish i’ll predict

[Sun Mar 15 19:54:42 PDT 2009] Muddy if not i’d be cautious and wait for sure
