[Oct 17, 2010 8:05:41 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive great great

[Oct 17, 2010 8:05:42 PM EDT]    vadimg im logged in yet it says Viewing the remainder of this article requires a Subscription

[Oct 17, 2010 8:05:56 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive Try logging into the webpage again maybe u signed out

[Oct 17, 2010 8:05:59 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and cookies logged ya out

[Oct 17, 2010 8:06:23 PM EDT]    vadimg same

[Oct 17, 2010 8:06:32 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive So I’ll start with questions I received

[Oct 17, 2010 8:06:34 PM EDT]    joec       doin mre too

[Oct 17, 2010 8:06:39 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and if u guys have questions from there

[Oct 17, 2010 8:06:42 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive we can cover them

[Oct 17, 2010 8:07:00 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive QUESTION: How do you determine when to take a position in a stock right at market open vs waiting to see how it will play out?

[Oct 17, 2010 8:07:17 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive most of this is done in the home work… most cases if the stock price action does exactly as I thought

[Oct 17, 2010 8:07:21 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I’ll jump in right at the bell

[Oct 17, 2010 8:07:35 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive however if it just comes out of the AM with sideways price action

[Oct 17, 2010 8:07:38 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive nothing really telling

[Oct 17, 2010 8:07:40 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive no real volume

[Oct 17, 2010 8:07:52 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I’ll sit back and watch it trade .. .for a long I’ll watch for it to move sideways

[Oct 17, 2010 8:07:59 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and then gear/perk off support

[Oct 17, 2010 8:08:13 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive for a short I’ll watch for it to head sideways and start to break under support ie: fade

[Oct 17, 2010 8:08:20 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive that’s mainly it.. but

[Oct 17, 2010 8:08:30 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive the trades I like for AM moves are really the big charts

[Oct 17, 2010 8:08:42 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive ones that are on a 3-4 day tear straight upwards and gap and spike at open

[Oct 17, 2010 8:08:53 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive that’s really just a squeeze so i like to take advantage of that move

[Oct 17, 2010 8:09:04 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive the only other play I may make right at open

[Oct 17, 2010 8:09:11 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive is something that gapped large and pulled back really fast

[Oct 17, 2010 8:09:24 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive for example all pre market stock is at 1.60-1.80 range

[Oct 17, 2010 8:09:35 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and then pulls real fast to 1.20 in 1 volume bar

[Oct 17, 2010 8:09:40 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive might snag that dip

[Oct 17, 2010 8:09:49 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive something like that – otherwise I like to let things set up for a lil bit

[Oct 17, 2010 8:09:59 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive questions on that ?

[Oct 17, 2010 8:10:30 PM EDT]    psr          by snag that dip you mean go long right?

[Oct 17, 2010 8:11:16 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive by the guys – refresh that Link for tonights scan should work now

[Oct 17, 2010 8:11:18 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive yes psr

[Oct 17, 2010 8:11:20 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive that’s what I mean

[Oct 17, 2010 8:11:25 PM EDT]    vadimg if you watching a stock to short and it gaps up do you just short there?

[Oct 17, 2010 8:11:29 PM EDT]    psr          cool. thank

[Oct 17, 2010 8:11:32 PM EDT]    psr          thanks

[Oct 17, 2010 8:11:39 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive no vadimg we don’t just short randomly

[Oct 17, 2010 8:11:44 PM EDT]    traderdeaner     yes ?. what determines number of shares you buy/short? because its fast at the open and you really dont know how much volume it will have during the day

[Oct 17, 2010 8:11:45 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive just because a stock is up doesn’t mean its a short

[Oct 17, 2010 8:12:04 PM EDT]    vadimg this link here is availbale to general public? http://www.InvestorsLive.com/2010/10/17/stocks-on-watch-for-monday-teh-18th-of-october/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+InvestorsLive%2Ffeed+%28InvestorsLive+Blog%29

[Oct 17, 2010 8:12:28 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive traderdeaner – it’s all relative to price action and volume

[Oct 17, 2010 8:12:35 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive if it’s a high volume stock I can play bigger

[Oct 17, 2010 8:12:44 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive if thinner volume

[Oct 17, 2010 8:12:47 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive can’t play as large

[Oct 17, 2010 8:12:52 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive ie: MTOR

[Oct 17, 2010 8:12:55 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive vs.

[Oct 17, 2010 8:13:16 PM EDT]    stockmike           You shorted GOOG at 597.99 too soon, any reason for this?

[Oct 17, 2010 8:13:31 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive ?

[Oct 17, 2010 8:13:51 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive MTOR vs. something like SEED or others that trade a lot more volume

[Oct 17, 2010 8:13:57 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive u can see the diff just by looking at the volume

[Oct 17, 2010 8:14:24 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive GOOG was fine stockmike – I wanted 590 .. went to 591 … o well

[Oct 17, 2010 8:14:34 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive any further questions related to that question?

[Oct 17, 2010 8:15:10 PM EDT]    traderdeaner     do you wait for the next bar on the spike or drop?

[Oct 17, 2010 8:15:29 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive trader – are u referring to a parabolic move?

[Oct 17, 2010 8:15:36 PM EDT]    traderdeaner     yes

[Oct 17, 2010 8:15:40 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I just watch price action . if it’s been going up .50-1.00 the prior days

[Oct 17, 2010 8:15:47 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive or … .10 cents here and there

[Oct 17, 2010 8:15:51 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and all of a sudden does that in a minute

[Oct 17, 2010 8:15:56 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive that’s what I’m looking for

[Oct 17, 2010 8:15:59 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive the parabolic action

[Oct 17, 2010 8:16:15 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I’ve been caught once this year… for a loss on the parabolic types…

[Oct 17, 2010 8:16:17 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive that was MOTR

[Oct 17, 2010 8:16:29 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive but most times… those are my best shorts

[Oct 17, 2010 8:16:51 PM EDT]    vadimg 3rd, 4th day short work better than 2nd right?

[Oct 17, 2010 8:17:07 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive depends what ur going in for.. volatility in this market has been every day

[Oct 17, 2010 8:17:10 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive u just have to take hte trade

[Oct 17, 2010 8:17:20 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive a lot of the early shorts on big moves … need to be taken

[Oct 17, 2010 8:17:33 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive as they may provide a buck downside real quick but will consolidate and come back

[Oct 17, 2010 8:17:40 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive take BORN for example 2 weeks ago .. we nailed it out of hte gate

[Oct 17, 2010 8:17:47 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and then it came all the way back

[Oct 17, 2010 8:17:50 PM EDT]    tyson     what is the longest you have held a short

[Oct 17, 2010 8:18:12 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive tyson – I have no idea .. doesn’t really help me out any knowing

[Oct 17, 2010 8:18:20 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive not really anything that will help u

[Oct 17, 2010 8:18:27 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive QUESTION: I get faked out on pretty much anything, r/g , .50 breaks, dollar breaks, my beef is basically if you buy into the break you’ll have a decent entry whereas if you wait u might get filled 10 cents up but if it doesn’t break your stuck buying at the top, please discuss

[Oct 17, 2010 8:18:45 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive The biggest thing here is

[Oct 17, 2010 8:18:55 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive most of the moves are right in the AM and around stocks that have been moving prior days

[Oct 17, 2010 8:19:04 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive it’s not just random stocks

[Oct 17, 2010 8:19:09 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive red to green … green to red

[Oct 17, 2010 8:19:19 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive it’s stocks that have been in play the past 3-4 days .. that we have been playing in chat

[Oct 17, 2010 8:19:25 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive once the volume heads off… forgettabout it

[Oct 17, 2010 8:19:48 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive so you can play the red/green and all that in the AM.. then mid day I see a lot of people burn comissions trying to nail the moves

[Oct 17, 2010 8:20:03 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive most moves hvae been AM and PM .. but watch the 2pm+ with stocks setting up just below red/green

[Oct 17, 2010 8:20:19 PM EDT]    vadimg do you ever long parabolics?

[Oct 17, 2010 8:20:43 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive parabolics in general – or like I suggested?

[Oct 17, 2010 8:20:49 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive or the type I was talkin about

[Oct 17, 2010 8:20:59 PM EDT]    king12x I think this question goes hand to hand with the parabolics chatter….what are your thoughts on plays like PIP on friday ?

[Oct 17, 2010 8:20:59 PM EDT]    vadimg like born motr asti ets

[Oct 17, 2010 8:21:00 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I was talking about over extensions and AM gap parabolics

[Oct 17, 2010 8:21:38 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive king PIP is first on scan.. maybe slight gap would look g/r short

[Oct 17, 2010 8:21:38 PM EDT]    ponofab               speaking of parabolics. If there is a gap up and spike on PIPMonday. Does that make it a short early?

[Oct 17, 2010 8:21:59 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive sure it’s possible ponofab

[Oct 17, 2010 8:22:04 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I’d be inclined to short a gap open and pop yes

[Oct 17, 2010 8:22:09 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive pop on low volume

[Oct 17, 2010 8:22:16 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive not pop on slow steady gearing to nHODs

[Oct 17, 2010 8:22:49 PM EDT]    vadimg 22 mil shares on friday, sounds serios

[Oct 17, 2010 8:22:50 PM EDT]    ponofab               would you stop out on the next spike or wait for a sell off?

[Oct 17, 2010 8:23:19 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive if it doesn’t pull back ponofab?

[Oct 17, 2010 8:23:25 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive just respect ur stop losses regardless

[Oct 17, 2010 8:23:33 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive you should hvae a $$ # that you’re willing to lose and where u cut it off at

[Oct 17, 2010 8:23:37 PM EDT]    vadimg what % stop do you normaly use?

[Oct 17, 2010 8:23:38 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive if it hits that . protect urself

[Oct 17, 2010 8:23:46 PM EDT]    ponofab               yes if u enter short and then it spikes again

[Oct 17, 2010 8:24:17 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive vadimg – I would suggest reviewing us for a few days I know u just joined – I’ve got some member questions that were sent in .. but if you spend even a lil bit of time on the seminars tonight that are listed many of ur questions iwll be answered

[Oct 17, 2010 8:24:27 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive sit back Mon-Weds and see how we do it

[Oct 17, 2010 8:24:29 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive you’ll get a good feel for it

[Oct 17, 2010 8:24:40 PM EDT]    vadimg 🙂

[Oct 17, 2010 8:24:42 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive ponofab- again just respect ur $$ loss.. if its within that

[Oct 17, 2010 8:24:50 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive then it’s all good.. let it go ur way

[Oct 17, 2010 8:25:00 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive most times if it’s poppin I’ll go in 1/2 so I have twice the range

[Oct 17, 2010 8:25:06 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and add in once it settles and it’s on the righ tside

[Oct 17, 2010 8:25:13 PM EDT]    ponofab               thank you

[Oct 17, 2010 8:25:26 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive QUESTION: Under what circumstances do you like to get back in after you’ve been stopped out , IE if the stock fakes out a break of s/r do u risk churning commisions going back and forth breakout fakeout breakout fakeout etc…

[Oct 17, 2010 8:25:34 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive good example here is ZAGG Friday

[Oct 17, 2010 8:25:42 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive shorted some thinking 7.60 might crack

[Oct 17, 2010 8:25:44 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive but it went to test HODs

[Oct 17, 2010 8:25:54 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and had some vol at HODs and that was it.. settled

[Oct 17, 2010 8:26:01 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive so once it faded off the highs

[Oct 17, 2010 8:26:14 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I added back in 7.81 and ended up covering 7.56-7.60

[Oct 17, 2010 8:26:20 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive to turn it into a green trade

[Oct 17, 2010 8:26:35 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive but sometimes – when i go in a starter before it cracks – that’s the risk .. that’s why I’m in 1/2 size

[Oct 17, 2010 8:26:40 PM EDT]    tyson     I played your RTK scan last week and have held for awhile….when you look at low volume 300k is average vol for this stock would you be safe to assume 1/2 or 3/4 of that volume would indicate a fade and potential short

[Oct 17, 2010 8:26:53 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive guys

[Oct 17, 2010 8:26:54 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive comon

[Oct 17, 2010 8:27:08 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive on topic.. for questions I’ll open up later on

[Oct 17, 2010 8:27:21 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive please help out keeping the clutter out in the seminar logs so when folks view later on .. its easier

[Oct 17, 2010 8:27:33 PM EDT]    tyson     k

[Oct 17, 2010 8:27:48 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive any questins regarding the last question?

[Oct 17, 2010 8:27:51 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive fake breakouts etc?

[Oct 17, 2010 8:27:56 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I think the main thing is .. look it happens

[Oct 17, 2010 8:28:02 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive it might be looking like its going to crack

[Oct 17, 2010 8:28:18 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive but if it perks up .. and fails at a whole # break in this case of ZAGG $8….

[Oct 17, 2010 8:28:19 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and fades off that

[Oct 17, 2010 8:28:38 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive take the short.. HODs was 7.91 or so… 7.80s was a dime off LODs

[Oct 17, 2010 8:28:41 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive HODs rather

[Oct 17, 2010 8:28:46 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive like I talk about in other seminars…

[Oct 17, 2010 8:28:49 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive let it top out first

[Oct 17, 2010 8:28:55 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive that way u have a stop and u dont just have to guess

[Oct 17, 2010 8:29:45 PM EDT]    traderdeaner     question. can i also bring up market maker “trap” when you were in position but knew it was a trap, and you stayed glues

[Oct 17, 2010 8:29:48 PM EDT]    traderdeaner     glued

[Oct 17, 2010 8:30:32 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive is that a question?

[Oct 17, 2010 8:30:36 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive if so .. not sure I follow

[Oct 17, 2010 8:31:11 PM EDT]    traderdeaner     if you are in a position and the price drops very quickly on low volume

[Oct 17, 2010 8:31:37 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive not sure traderdeaner – would need an example

[Oct 17, 2010 8:32:50 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive QUESTION: I played your RTK scan last week and have held for awhile….when you look at low volume 300k is average vol for this stock would you be safe to assume 1/2 or 3/4 of that volume would indicate a fade and potential short

[Oct 17, 2010 8:33:02 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I don’t look for random charts for shorts

[Oct 17, 2010 8:33:06 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I look for over extensions

[Oct 17, 2010 8:33:13 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive all my scans show you the type of shorts I’m looking for

[Oct 17, 2010 8:33:30 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive volume doesn’t have to indicate it … most cases I don’t play things unless they have volume

[Oct 17, 2010 8:33:36 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive its very easy to get stuck in low volume stuff

[Oct 17, 2010 8:33:44 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive so I tend to stay clear

[Oct 17, 2010 8:34:54 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive so PIP Friday

[Oct 17, 2010 8:35:00 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/6981/pipa.png

[Oct 17, 2010 8:35:11 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive many asked .. how would you know to buy long mid day etc

[Oct 17, 2010 8:35:24 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive that chart is a little squished I was using it for my powerpoint for Tims thing but

[Oct 17, 2010 8:35:33 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive you can see it ripped… it faded

[Oct 17, 2010 8:35:37 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive then it held a higher low

[Oct 17, 2010 8:35:45 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive slow steady starting to head up a bit more… then dipped

[Oct 17, 2010 8:35:49 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive held a 2nd higher low

[Oct 17, 2010 8:35:57 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive then set up just below HOD

[Oct 17, 2010 8:35:59 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and bang

[Oct 17, 2010 8:36:05 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive that perk is the buy

[Oct 17, 2010 8:36:13 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive you’re risk becomes the support it popped off of

[Oct 17, 2010 8:36:53 PM EDT]    grapz     Do you buy at the dip or after it bounces

[Oct 17, 2010 8:37:08 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive nah not normally

[Oct 17, 2010 8:37:15 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive just if it’s gearing like that and starts to perk

[Oct 17, 2010 8:37:16 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive as I said

[Oct 17, 2010 8:37:21 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive above.. I usually buy that perk

[Oct 17, 2010 8:37:47 PM EDT]    grapz     so you wait for it to hold and that is your signal to buy

[Oct 17, 2010 8:38:06 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive right the gearing … holding support and the move up off support

[Oct 17, 2010 8:38:19 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive if u guys go back thru prior seminars “Gearing and Perking” we have more examples

[Oct 17, 2010 8:38:26 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive those a are good seminars

[Oct 17, 2010 8:38:44 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive also another one I wanted to bring up

[Oct 17, 2010 8:38:46 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive Friday’s play

[Oct 17, 2010 8:38:48 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/8822/born1.png

[Oct 17, 2010 8:38:50 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive BORN was awesome

[Oct 17, 2010 8:39:11 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive we’re on the ‘back side’ of the squeeze and pump now… prob each pop will be a good short.. and fades = good shorts

[Oct 17, 2010 8:39:19 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive more so than buying dips expecting a big rip

[Oct 17, 2010 8:39:29 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive so the green line is the prior close from Thursday

[Oct 17, 2010 8:39:33 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive green to red play

[Oct 17, 2010 8:39:51 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive we all know its up huge… it went green to red once… then bounced back

[Oct 17, 2010 8:40:03 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive came up .. lower high and was starting to re-test that green to red move

[Oct 17, 2010 8:40:11 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive that’s why I went short

[Oct 17, 2010 8:40:26 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and this is a perfect example of what i was talking about tho

[Oct 17, 2010 8:40:31 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive u get a drop like that.. TAKE THE GAIN

[Oct 17, 2010 8:40:36 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive take the washout

[Oct 17, 2010 8:40:52 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive who cares if it goes lower… many times it ends up heading straight back up at least .30-.50 cents anyway

[Oct 17, 2010 8:41:09 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive so if u want to remain short u can always replace ur short with a padding already in ur pocket

[Oct 17, 2010 8:41:29 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive any questions on those 2 plays?

[Oct 17, 2010 8:41:36 PM EDT]    immersion          what exactly is the ‘back side’ of a trade……is it the initial fall after a constant pump/higher price?

[Oct 17, 2010 8:41:50 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive check out the chart 3-6 month

[Oct 17, 2010 8:41:54 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive BORN

[Oct 17, 2010 8:41:55 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive MCP

[Oct 17, 2010 8:41:56 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive etc

[Oct 17, 2010 8:42:00 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive VHC

[Oct 17, 2010 8:58:21 PM EDT]    traderdeaner     when you have a position in a stock that is gearing/fading….expecting breakout up/down…. and you have a mental stop. you are closely monitoring. then you notice on level II there is an order above/below your mental stop depending on your position (long/short) …. what do you do? this is what i call trap because what usually happens i will front run the order trying to out smart and then next thing i know that level II disappears.

[Oct 17, 2010 8:58:22 PM EDT]    MilesJStoner      play stocks with a trend…yes

[Oct 17, 2010 8:58:30 PM EDT]    traderdeaner     ?
