by | Jun 13, 2011

[Jun 12, 2011 8:02:24 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive alright I’ll start it up .. same as always… keep questions on topic for those not here…

[Jun 12, 2011 8:02:29 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive ask as many questions as you want on the same topic

[Jun 12, 2011 8:02:34 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and then we’ll move to next … and same thing

[Jun 12, 2011 8:02:38 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive then after we’ll open it up …

[Jun 12, 2011 8:02:47 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive how many first timers today?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:02:58 PM EDT]    clandon0              Here

[Jun 12, 2011 8:03:02 PM EDT]    tylercabral           to seminar? first time

[Jun 12, 2011 8:03:07 PM EDT]    ChopStockTrader             one of the first seminars I have been too live

[Jun 12, 2011 8:03:16 PM EDT]    Paradox               2nd here

[Jun 12, 2011 8:03:17 PM EDT]    tempss first timer here. been reading previous seminars.

[Jun 12, 2011 8:03:28 PM EDT]    reman   1st seminar for me

[Jun 12, 2011 8:03:31 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive nice, alright well as you prob saw .. they are member driven.. if u have a question related to what I post .. ask it …

[Jun 12, 2011 8:03:43 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive don’t feel dumb I’m sure many have same questions and don’t want to ask

[Jun 12, 2011 8:03:45 PM EDT]    splendores         Chopstock a newbie? lol

[Jun 12, 2011 8:03:49 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive makes it better for all the more interactive they are

[Jun 12, 2011 8:04:08 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive QUESTION: When charting a stock for support/resistance, how significant is intraday support/resistance vs. 3 month, 6 month, etc. support/resistance? In other words, if stock ABC is hitting intraday resistance at $1, but the 3 & 6 month charts show resistance is at $3.5… how do I play this chart intraday? If volume is there, at the $1 resistance level, this is usually a good sign that it will break out of $1 resistance?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:04:48 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I’m going to change the question a lot .. because if resistance is at $3.50 … what’s it matter if the stock is trading at $1? .. that’s 350% out of the market

[Jun 12, 2011 8:05:05 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive so let’s start with how I look at 3 and 6 month charts

[Jun 12, 2011 8:05:33 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive Each night for example on my scan.. I’ll take a look at how the stocks have been trending, do they have range… are they coming off support….. are they setting up (consolidating) etc

[Jun 12, 2011 8:05:40 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I look for a pattern I am familiar with

[Jun 12, 2011 8:05:49 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive then I take a look ok, how far are they offer their support …

[Jun 12, 2011 8:05:57 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and how far are they from prior tops, resistance etc

[Jun 12, 2011 8:06:08 PM EDT]    Laura off* support

[Jun 12, 2011 8:06:21 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive yes thx L

[Jun 12, 2011 8:06:29 PM EDT]    Laura sorry for my Reaperishness

[Jun 12, 2011 8:06:31 PM EDT]    Laura lol

[Jun 12, 2011 8:06:41 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive so actually take a look at scan for tonight

[Jun 12, 2011 8:06:45 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive http://www.investorsunderground.com/2011/06/12/scans-for-061311-from-InvestorsLive/

[Jun 12, 2011 8:06:53 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive scroll down to BCCI

[Jun 12, 2011 8:07:12 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive BCCI – could be any price range $1 – $10 range… .05 cents .. or .20 like here

[Jun 12, 2011 8:07:29 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive but I scroll thru … look at the 3 month chart .. ok good big runner in past (ie: former runner)

[Jun 12, 2011 8:07:46 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive sideways consolidation …

[Jun 12, 2011 8:08:01 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive so I know if we see volume tomorrow and a .22 area break …. we’ll prob have a nice reversal to .25-.30 range

[Jun 12, 2011 8:08:14 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive but not until it breaks the prior top (6-7 days ago) will I be interested

[Jun 12, 2011 8:08:45 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive this one has been consolidating a bit longer .. but same idea with NEOM

[Jun 12, 2011 8:08:49 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive Thursday night we discussed in chat

[Jun 12, 2011 8:08:55 PM EDT]    -war-     so you’re not even interested…like you won’t even take a few long?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:09:02 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/9965/neom.png

[Jun 12, 2011 8:09:06 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive re: NEOM

[Jun 12, 2011 8:09:17 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive nah, not yet.. not until it breaks .. if it test and vol is higher than normal

[Jun 12, 2011 8:09:20 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive then I’ll buy first pull

[Jun 12, 2011 8:09:28 PM EDT]    -war-     k

[Jun 12, 2011 8:09:32 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and if it doesn’t look to hold .20 .. otu

[Jun 12, 2011 8:09:33 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive out*

[Jun 12, 2011 8:09:59 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive take a look at HIL

[Jun 12, 2011 8:10:03 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive on scan tomorrow

[Jun 12, 2011 8:10:20 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive so I look at the 3 month chart…

[Jun 12, 2011 8:10:31 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive former runner … traded $7+ just days ago.. still fresh on everyones radar

[Jun 12, 2011 8:10:44 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive as soon as it reverses .. all the bagholders will average down.. shorts cover .. and we prob get a pop

[Jun 12, 2011 8:10:56 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I wanna be part of that … it’s filled the gap almost from the day it gapped and ran over $5

[Jun 12, 2011 8:11:06 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive so if it fills the gap in the AM .. risk vs. reward ….

[Jun 12, 2011 8:11:20 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive 4.70-4.80 range if it consolidates .. what’s your risk ? $4.50?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:11:24 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive size in accordingly

[Jun 12, 2011 8:11:49 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive that’s how i look at 3 and 6 month charts

[Jun 12, 2011 8:11:53 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and relate it to how I may play it

[Jun 12, 2011 8:12:03 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I look where did they last top, where did they last bottom

[Jun 12, 2011 8:12:34 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive RPTP on the same scan, u can see the support is at $6

[Jun 12, 2011 8:12:49 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive if $6 breaks… trend reversal switch the whole idea.. turn short biased if it breaks $6 and holds $6 as top

[Jun 12, 2011 8:12:56 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive etc

[Jun 12, 2011 8:13:16 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive make sense? 3-6 month chart is purely technical analysis driven to give you an idea of how it has acted in it’s past

[Jun 12, 2011 8:13:47 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive CDTI last week WEST last week … etc all big movers…. sell off … you get a first bounce and then let them fade off

[Jun 12, 2011 8:14:02 PM EDT]    fastone                dumb question, but when you’re establishing support/resistance… eg: RPTP, is $6 support because it’s an even dollar amount? Or is there another indicator?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:14:17 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive look at past 3 candles..

[Jun 12, 2011 8:14:20 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive its tested $6 3 x

[Jun 12, 2011 8:14:20 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and held

[Jun 12, 2011 8:14:34 PM EDT]    fastone                k

[Jun 12, 2011 8:14:44 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive doesnt mean support can’t be broken .. but gives you a plan

[Jun 12, 2011 8:14:51 PM EDT]    fastone                got it

[Jun 12, 2011 8:14:51 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive you need a plan while trading

[Jun 12, 2011 8:14:59 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive if it breaks $6 u know that’s not your plan

[Jun 12, 2011 8:15:04 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive so u need to get out of your plan

[Jun 12, 2011 8:15:05 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive etc

[Jun 12, 2011 8:15:14 PM EDT]    rude1    break 6 = short?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:15:26 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive it’s all about a game plan, trade your plan… if it’s not as planned get out

[Jun 12, 2011 8:15:33 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive well I’d become short biased at that point

[Jun 12, 2011 8:15:38 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive if it breaks $6 and tops again at $6

[Jun 12, 2011 8:15:51 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I like to let it break support once and then re-test and top at prior support then start into s/s

[Jun 12, 2011 8:15:59 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive gives me a place to stop and a reason to trade it

[Jun 12, 2011 8:16:19 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive any questions on this topic?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:16:32 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I know a lengthy answer but … good question something I do every night with the charts

[Jun 12, 2011 8:16:33 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive so good to talk about

[Jun 12, 2011 8:16:47 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive gets your mind thinking and prepared for the next day so when you see it in action, you already know what the chart looks like

[Jun 12, 2011 8:17:02 PM EDT]    clandon0              How much room do you allow your mistakes to move against you before bailing?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:18:17 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive it’s all about the risk you go in with …

[Jun 12, 2011 8:18:28 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive if you position yourself for $300 risk .. then .. $300 risk it is

[Jun 12, 2011 8:18:44 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I went over that a lot last seminar… about how I scale in and out and what not

[Jun 12, 2011 8:18:51 PM EDT]    fastone                regarding the 3 candels at $6… is this a hard and fast rule you use when establishing support? Or do you look further back in time as well? For example HIL, I see support at $5, based on sideways consolidation in April… this is correct?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:18:56 PM EDT]    clandon0              Great. I’ll follow there.

[Jun 12, 2011 8:19:33 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive but .. I size in based on like what I said above .. if $6 breaks and tops again… look at prior channel.. where was top.. if it fell fast from 6.10 then your risk at 5.95 is prob 6.15 .. ie: .20 cents …. so 1k = $200 risk … 2k = $400 risk etc

[Jun 12, 2011 8:19:37 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive size in accordingly

[Jun 12, 2011 8:19:59 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive no fastone – just taking what the chart gives me… paints the picture .. shows $6 is holding

[Jun 12, 2011 8:20:14 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive could trade 5.90 to 6.10 too … like many do … and u see the consolidation

[Jun 12, 2011 8:20:27 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive no rhyme or reason.. you just look for where it’s consolidation is ..

[Jun 12, 2011 8:20:30 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive doesn’t have to be to a T

[Jun 12, 2011 8:20:34 PM EDT]    moonjammy      what’s consolidation?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:21:06 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive sideways consolildation.. up down … up down … magnet around a certain area or price range

[Jun 12, 2011 8:21:20 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive we went over consolidation last seminar as well

[Jun 12, 2011 8:21:32 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive any questions related to this current question? otherwise I’ll move to next

[Jun 12, 2011 8:22:09 PM EDT]    fastone                so when look at price action in April, the consolidation at $5 for a better part of April, has little signifigance?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:22:15 PM EDT]    fastone                on HIL

[Jun 12, 2011 8:22:34 PM EDT]    fastone                as a means of support?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:22:38 PM EDT]    fastone                sorry question is broken up

[Jun 12, 2011 8:22:55 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive In May u mean?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:23:10 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive yea it had significance in may… review my scans

[Jun 12, 2011 8:23:14 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive from May around that time frame

[Jun 12, 2011 8:23:15 PM EDT]    fastone                on 3 month, from April 11 to May 1

[Jun 12, 2011 8:23:20 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive same idea aorund $6 .. and $5.50

[Jun 12, 2011 8:23:27 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and that’s why I was always bullish for 52 week break b/c of consolidation

[Jun 12, 2011 8:23:37 PM EDT]    fastone                yeah, you love that.

[Jun 12, 2011 8:23:44 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive April 11 to May 1 I see no move

[Jun 12, 2011 8:23:49 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I care about moves

[Jun 12, 2011 8:23:58 PM EDT]    fastone                ok, wait…

[Jun 12, 2011 8:24:08 PM EDT]    fastone                i’m talkign about establishing support… not moves…

[Jun 12, 2011 8:24:14 PM EDT]    fastone                I want to hear about moves too.

[Jun 12, 2011 8:24:22 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive u can see consolidation sub $3.50 yes

[Jun 12, 2011 8:24:24 PM EDT]    fastone                but first just want to understand support

[Jun 12, 2011 8:24:24 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive in May

[Jun 12, 2011 8:24:27 PM EDT]    fastone                yes

[Jun 12, 2011 8:24:29 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive so prior tops .. it broke prior top

[Jun 12, 2011 8:24:30 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive same idea

[Jun 12, 2011 8:24:42 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive consolidation = forming support

[Jun 12, 2011 8:24:47 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and it either breaks up or breaks down from there

[Jun 12, 2011 8:25:05 PM EDT]    fastone                then the “move” comes in

[Jun 12, 2011 8:25:20 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive usually yup

[Jun 12, 2011 8:25:28 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive QUESTION: There are so many stocks to watch at opening bell, how do you know which stock(s) to watch and are you only looking for G/R or R/G? Point of the question is to increase reward and reduce risk.

[Jun 12, 2011 8:25:46 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive r/g and g/r is not a play for the first 10 min of trading

[Jun 12, 2011 8:25:52 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive every stock is red to green or green to red

[Jun 12, 2011 8:25:55 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive it’s also HOD and LOD

[Jun 12, 2011 8:26:13 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive red to green plays are about stocks that were just in play … stocks that have range…

[Jun 12, 2011 8:26:18 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive stocks that have been moving past few days

[Jun 12, 2011 8:26:30 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive or stocks that have a nice trend and consolidating just shy of red/green

[Jun 12, 2011 8:27:12 PM EDT]    Muddy momo watches + pre gainers can be deadly as far as r/r goes, imo

[Jun 12, 2011 8:28:04 PM EDT]    Laura but yeah, first 10-20 minutes, hard to know which way they will break

[Jun 12, 2011 8:28:44 PM EDT]    -war-     Well…there are a lot of stocks that we play. How many do you watch at a time? Do you rely on Mudd or Laura for a certain style of play so that you don’t have to watch them?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:29:15 PM EDT]    Laura it is hard to watch a lot

[Jun 12, 2011 8:29:35 PM EDT]    rude1    how many charts at once do you guys watch?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:29:51 PM EDT]    Laura but I mainly watch the losers scan on scottrader watchlist and the pre list I watch on IB list

[Jun 12, 2011 8:30:16 PM EDT]    Laura Don’t watch charts til it is one I think I want to be in

[Jun 12, 2011 8:30:45 PM EDT]    -war-     Hmm…Laura that brings other questions

[Jun 12, 2011 8:30:46 PM EDT]    rude1    1 chart then?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:31:00 PM EDT]    Laura no, I have 5-7 charts

[Jun 12, 2011 8:31:18 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive Muddy doesn’t use charts………. in case you guys didn’t know

[Jun 12, 2011 8:31:19 PM EDT]    Laura but I like watching the price action more than watching the charts

[Jun 12, 2011 8:31:26 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive his chart is in his head

[Jun 12, 2011 8:31:31 PM EDT]    moonjammy      longtime follower, first time subscriber…was going to play the bounce strategy to build account…but new members powerpoint mentioned not to….other strategies best for building account?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:31:46 PM EDT]    ChopStockTrader             I keep a list of 60 or so stocks off the momo list that i am positive on and just scan them in the morning a couple times for pre action I usually get yo 5-7 like Laura

[Jun 12, 2011 8:32:15 PM EDT]    Laura ChopStock gets the Muddy thing better than anyone here I think

[Jun 12, 2011 8:32:22 PM EDT]    Laura He’s making it happen

[Jun 12, 2011 8:32:29 PM EDT]    -war-     How the F…

[Jun 12, 2011 8:32:48 PM EDT]    rude1    Muddy uses L2 only?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:33:01 PM EDT]    Laura he doesn’t even look at that

[Jun 12, 2011 8:33:05 PM EDT]    rude1    ??

[Jun 12, 2011 8:33:22 PM EDT]    Laura he uses scottrader quote boxes is all

[Jun 12, 2011 8:33:34 PM EDT]    Laura and the scottrader hod list

[Jun 12, 2011 8:33:54 PM EDT]    Laura but man, he’s got the gift for it doesn’t he?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:34:03 PM EDT]    -war-     new quote boxes? Thought they changed them

[Jun 12, 2011 8:34:30 PM EDT]    Laura yeah, they suck now, but still, that’s all he uses

[Jun 12, 2011 8:34:35 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive guys as I said at the beginning of this as well, please stick to the topic we’re discussing, we can open it up after as well

[Jun 12, 2011 8:34:46 PM EDT]    -war-     sorry

[Jun 12, 2011 8:34:55 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive nah not u war lol

[Jun 12, 2011 8:35:35 PM EDT]    fastone                so to play at stock right at the bell is “bad”?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:35:45 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive like I’ve always said…

[Jun 12, 2011 8:35:48 PM EDT]    fastone                just want to understand the psychology here…

[Jun 12, 2011 8:35:49 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive scalp at the open if you know how to scalp

[Jun 12, 2011 8:35:52 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive otherwise … let it set up

[Jun 12, 2011 8:35:55 PM EDT]    fastone                got it

[Jun 12, 2011 8:37:00 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive QUESTION: I’m curious if halts are something the average trader should be worried about. I understand that swinging stuff like JAMN or LEXG is playing with fire, but what about SNOFF? I saw TRE.TO get halted intraday, is that something that can occur for OTCBB/Pinks? Or do halts generally happen before the market opens?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:37:19 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive halts rarely if ever happen in OTC land

[Jun 12, 2011 8:37:21 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive DURING MARKET HOURS

[Jun 12, 2011 8:37:26 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive GMGMQ was the last

[Jun 12, 2011 8:37:29 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive about 2 years ago

[Jun 12, 2011 8:37:55 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive which is pretty much a “nasdaq” but they needed to halt because it was having a big day .. and they needed people to understand that GMGMQ was not the same GM .. and there were no longer assets or whatever

[Jun 12, 2011 8:38:08 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive so no I don’t worry during day for trading halts on OTC/OTCBB

[Jun 12, 2011 8:38:18 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I will play the odds of the one I have seen in my trading career

[Jun 12, 2011 8:38:21 PM EDT]    tylercabral           ok, thanks much. only thing that scared me about SNOFF

[Jun 12, 2011 8:38:28 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive SNOFF over night? eh….

[Jun 12, 2011 8:38:37 PM EDT]    tylercabral           well, intraday

[Jun 12, 2011 8:38:37 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive comcast .. nightmares… I had like 10k over night Friday

[Jun 12, 2011 8:38:39 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I didnt want

[Jun 12, 2011 8:38:41 PM EDT]    tylercabral           during that crazy run

[Jun 12, 2011 8:38:42 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive scary…

[Jun 12, 2011 8:38:53 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive LEXG no problemo during the day but after it gets “sketchy”

[Jun 12, 2011 8:39:00 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I’m all set with that

[Jun 12, 2011 8:41:30 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive any further questions on that topic?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:41:40 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive not really much to expand on that one .. but who knows?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:41:53 PM EDT]    tylercabral           nah, great answer. Thanks much!

[Jun 12, 2011 8:41:59 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive QUESTION: I hear you talk about some of the different market makers. I’m only vaguely familiar with what a MM even is. Could you give a brief 101 on who/what they are and how you use them in your trading?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:42:12 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive this one .. I touch upon a lot .. truth is …. more I tell you

[Jun 12, 2011 8:42:15 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive the more lost you are going to be

[Jun 12, 2011 8:42:25 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive the more you’re going to let it impact your trading and miss out

[Jun 12, 2011 8:42:37 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive the short answer is … take my comments and watch level 2 and action

[Jun 12, 2011 8:42:41 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive if ur interested in learning this stuff

[Jun 12, 2011 8:42:46 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and OVER time … you’ll pick up on it

[Jun 12, 2011 8:42:49 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive it doesn’t happen over night

[Jun 12, 2011 8:42:57 PM EDT]    moonjammy      here hear

[Jun 12, 2011 8:43:05 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive that’s how I learned… some1 could tell me 20 x … and I’d “understand”

[Jun 12, 2011 8:43:23 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive but only confuse myself

[Jun 12, 2011 8:43:44 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive so over time you’ll see the same stuff over and over IF you’re an OTCBB trader and it’ll start to make sense

[Jun 12, 2011 8:43:58 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive you see a certain “pack” of MMs on certain pumper plays….

[Jun 12, 2011 8:44:06 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive so if they all appear .. then theres a good chacne it could be theres… etc

[Jun 12, 2011 8:45:23 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive QUESTION: Friday in chat, i was corrected after saying a stock was r/g. at what point do you consider a stock to be r/g? i thought it was after a bounce, and not necessarily the low of the day.

[Jun 12, 2011 8:45:40 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive red/green … green/red is based on prior close

[Jun 12, 2011 8:45:46 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive if a stock closes at $5 and opens at $5.50 ….

[Jun 12, 2011 8:45:54 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and goes to $5.49 .. that is STILL green

[Jun 12, 2011 8:45:59 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive $4.99 is red on the day

[Jun 12, 2011 8:46:04 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive it’s based on the PRIOR CLOSE

[Jun 12, 2011 8:46:23 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive QUESTION: A few times you’ve said you’re gonna hold a stock because it will gap in the am. not saying that this will happen each time you say, but what indicators do you look for before making that decision? and when? is it in the last hour, the last 30 minutes, or the last 10 minutes of the day?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:46:39 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I never say .. it WILL gap up in the AM

[Jun 12, 2011 8:46:43 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I say it is likely ..

[Jun 12, 2011 8:47:01 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and that’s only on HIGH VOLUME stocks …. since as you know lower vol OTCs you’ll never see me say …

[Jun 12, 2011 8:47:20 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive but .. quite simple… scan all day… accumulation scan or regular scan .. and nice steady close near HODs

[Jun 12, 2011 8:47:25 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive THIS IS ONLY ON OTCBB and OTCs

[Jun 12, 2011 8:47:32 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I do NOT gap Nasdaq’s with the same concept

[Jun 12, 2011 8:47:48 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive if the market gaps up it’s likely NASDAQ stocks gap up… and vice versa

[Jun 12, 2011 8:48:22 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive if the market gaps UP huge ..

[Jun 12, 2011 8:48:26 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive or DOWN huge

[Jun 12, 2011 8:48:30 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive unlikely an OTC will care

[Jun 12, 2011 8:48:36 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive thus … why OTC and OTCBB are diff

[Jun 12, 2011 8:48:46 PM EDT]    Breadwinner      specifically on JAMN. two days straight you predicted a gap. and then you said, you were glad you didn’t push you luck for that third day. was there something that stood out on that third day that made you not want to try again?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:49:19 PM EDT]    Breadwinner      well, maybe predict is a bad choice of words

[Jun 12, 2011 8:50:03 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive both prior days it closed well but had consolidated most of the day around that price

[Jun 12, 2011 8:50:10 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive that day it looked like it was expected

[Jun 12, 2011 8:50:16 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and ramped into the close

[Jun 12, 2011 8:50:33 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive we had 2 solid days… and I was out of the 2.10 gapper at 2.20

[Jun 12, 2011 8:50:36 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive and didn’t re buy …

[Jun 12, 2011 8:50:44 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I tend to not push it with the same ones over and over

[Jun 12, 2011 8:51:08 PM EDT]    Breadwinner      got it

[Jun 12, 2011 8:51:11 PM EDT]    Breadwinner      thanks

[Jun 12, 2011 8:52:23 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive any other questions on that stuff

[Jun 12, 2011 8:52:53 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive alright – any other questions prior to Muddy answering a few?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:53:11 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive those are the questions that were sent in …….. so I’ll open it up if u guys have any

[Jun 12, 2011 8:53:40 PM EDT]    Bart073T              NEOM not on scan… your thoughts on NEOM eod action on friday and looking to tomorrow.

[Jun 12, 2011 8:53:46 PM EDT]    moonjammy      strategies for account building?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:54:02 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive NEOM maybe a lil AM gap – don’t expect much more

[Jun 12, 2011 8:54:13 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive moonjammy – take profits when you have them.. if ever in doubt lock it in

[Jun 12, 2011 8:54:22 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive small gains add up

[Jun 12, 2011 8:54:23 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive over and over

[Jun 12, 2011 8:54:32 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive if you haven’t reviewed the new member page I suggest doing so

[Jun 12, 2011 8:54:52 PM EDT]    moonjammy      what is test?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:54:52 PM EDT]    karen99                I look at the 1minute charts. Sometimes, people will alert that a stock is moving. I seem not to see it as fast as others. Will some platforms be updated sooner than others?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:55:18 PM EDT]    -war-     Holy crap, so Muddy crushed many many plays this week. One was INSM (i think). I don’t remember playinng that recently. How did you know to follow that stock

[Jun 12, 2011 8:55:40 PM EDT]    Laura former runners

[Jun 12, 2011 8:55:44 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive test – re-test HOD .. or red/green etc

[Jun 12, 2011 8:55:47 PM EDT]    -war-     ah

[Jun 12, 2011 8:55:50 PM EDT]    -war-     damnit

[Jun 12, 2011 8:55:56 PM EDT]    Laura repeat after me, former runners

[Jun 12, 2011 8:56:02 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive whatever test its nearing… moonjammy – if u become familiar with how we trade .. ie: the new member page

[Jun 12, 2011 8:56:10 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive many times Muddy or myself will mention ‘test’ or ‘testing’

[Jun 12, 2011 8:56:13 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive its all related to the set ups we play

[Jun 12, 2011 8:56:18 PM EDT]    Laura Mudd knows thousands of them

[Jun 12, 2011 8:56:21 PM EDT]    -war-     one of those plays that I’m just too young (in the stock market game) to know

[Jun 12, 2011 8:56:34 PM EDT]    Laura I know maybe half what he does

[Jun 12, 2011 8:56:49 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive karen – no if u have real time data u have real time data

[Jun 12, 2011 8:56:50 PM EDT]    -war-     I see, thanks L

[Jun 12, 2011 8:57:14 PM EDT]    Laura time in the markets war

[Jun 12, 2011 8:57:39 PM EDT]    -war-     totally, not an overnight thing. Thanks again

[Jun 12, 2011 8:57:50 PM EDT]    splendores         When you play the whole number break, do you have a hard and fast rule that you apply when it comes to entry/exit? E.g. ORS the other day we got a great alert about a possible whole number move ($4). I took it long at 3.82, risk about .22. Before i knew it, some of the chat room already shorted it, believing it will break 3.6 support. Did I go in long too early? Or did I play it “correctly”?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:58:29 PM EDT]    karen99                i have real time data. Maybe what I perceive as movement is different than them. I am guessing it is because I am fairly new and takes longer to understand a stock movement.

[Jun 12, 2011 8:59:49 PM EDT]    Jerome Splendores, how did that trade turned out?

[Jun 12, 2011 8:59:51 PM EDT]    fastone                @Muddy (when the rest have been answered) (Jun 12-17:27) Muddy: momo watches + pre gainers can be deadly as far as r/r goes, imo… Please explain… thx.

[Jun 12, 2011 9:00:25 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I usually anticipate breaks at 3.90-3.95 on whole # breaks .. unless its breaking off support

[Jun 12, 2011 9:00:34 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive ie: if it’s consolidating at 3.80 …..

[Jun 12, 2011 9:00:36 PM EDT]    splendores         lol, i probably wouldn’t question it if it turned out well. I exited 3.70ish

[Jun 12, 2011 9:00:48 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive for 15-30 minutes and breaks up a bit I’d take long at 3.82-3.85 for $4 break

[Jun 12, 2011 9:00:57 PM EDT]    moonjammy      just to clarify from new members page; I look at 3-6 month chart to find support to determine risk on a logn?

[Jun 12, 2011 9:01:15 PM EDT]    moonjammy      long*

[Jun 12, 2011 9:01:18 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive moon – there is 3 powerpoints listed there

[Jun 12, 2011 9:01:28 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive why not pull up the page and review them

[Jun 12, 2011 9:01:34 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive trust me you’ll learn a lot

[Jun 12, 2011 9:01:43 PM EDT]    splendores         ok, that’s helpful. It wasn’t consolidating so waiting a little longer would have been a good idea

[Jun 12, 2011 9:01:56 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive just about all your questions you’ve asked are answered with taking a few minutes to review it

[Jun 12, 2011 9:02:25 PM EDT]    moonjammy      just clarifying

[Jun 12, 2011 9:02:42 PM EDT]    WISEGUY             Read the ppt a few times, everytime you go back youll pick up something new

[Jun 12, 2011 9:03:09 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive yea, always and I’m always willing to help .. and don’t think of me as cold or short telling u to go read it … I just want to help people that help themselves first

[Jun 12, 2011 9:03:10 PM EDT]    splendores         On ORS, neither long or short happened, but difference is that Il probably still made a few bucks 🙂

[Jun 12, 2011 9:03:12 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I made the page for a reason…

[Jun 12, 2011 9:03:18 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive once you review that page .. ask all teh questions you want

[Jun 12, 2011 9:03:33 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive I can jsut tell when people havent reviewed it …

[Jun 12, 2011 9:03:34 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive 🙂

[Jun 12, 2011 9:03:42 PM EDT]    -war-     Ok…..so I have a question

[Jun 12, 2011 9:03:50 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive ok that’s it for tonight – sorry war no more

[Jun 12, 2011 9:03:53 PM EDT]    -war-     So this horse walks into a bar…l…..

[Jun 12, 2011 9:03:55 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive jk 😛

[Jun 12, 2011 9:04:00 PM EDT]    Laura and whoever asked the question about the “I’m gonna try post”

[Jun 12, 2011 9:04:02 PM EDT]    -war-     🙂

[Jun 12, 2011 9:04:12 PM EDT]    Laura yes, those scans all still work good

[Jun 12, 2011 9:04:36 PM EDT]    ChopStockTrader             that is where I built most of my scans from

[Jun 12, 2011 9:04:44 PM EDT]    ramkia  IL: Please post seminar log to review. Thanks

[Jun 12, 2011 9:04:48 PM EDT]    Laura but we mostly now just get good watches from the pre list and losers list

[Jun 12, 2011 9:04:58 PM EDT]    PurpleHeart       so for stocks that don’t have good 3-6 month charts like JVA how do you determine where you think they’re heading from here?

[Jun 12, 2011 9:05:00 PM EDT]    Jerome AND you can see a great pix of Laura, Muddy, and their kiddos!!

[Jun 12, 2011 9:05:04 PM EDT]    Laura Chop knows it

[Jun 12, 2011 9:05:29 PM EDT]    Laura lol Jerome

[Jun 12, 2011 9:06:02 PM EDT]    ChopStockTrader             I have a couple that I have developed beyond that…but my scans are variations on those listed in the i am gonna try post. I usually add a rel vol criteria to them

[Jun 12, 2011 9:06:14 PM EDT]    Laura we each do have real kiddos but they are adults now

[Jun 12, 2011 9:06:29 PM EDT]    fastone                (Jun 12-18:04) Laura: and whoever asked the question about the “I’m gonna try post” – that was me.

[Jun 12, 2011 9:06:49 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive purple – u don’t .. you trade what it gives you, if it sets up in one of the 3 fav types of set ups.. I trade them

[Jun 12, 2011 9:06:52 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive if they don’t.. I don’t

[Jun 12, 2011 9:06:57 PM EDT]    Laura fastone, all those scans are still good

[Jun 12, 2011 9:07:04 PM EDT]    fastone                groovy

[Jun 12, 2011 9:07:04 PM EDT]    fastone                thx

[Jun 12, 2011 9:07:21 PM EDT]    PurpleHeart       Gotcha that makes sense

[Jun 12, 2011 9:07:46 PM EDT]    Jerome I hope the whole seminar will be posted , cuz I just got back from work

[Jun 12, 2011 9:08:34 PM EDT]    fastone                @Muddy (when the rest have been answered) (Jun 12-17:27) Muddy: momo watches + pre gainers can be deadly as far as r/r goes, imo… Please explain… thx..

[Jun 12, 2011 9:13:15 PM EDT]    ChopStockTrader             fastone…they are talking about stocks that appear on the momo list each night. these stocks have criteria that suggest that they can move quickly. when you combine these with stocks that are getting pre hits it is a situation that bears watching. that said the risk/reward is good but you need to watch these overtime to find the type of pre action that bears fruit.

[Jun 12, 2011 9:14:03 PM EDT]    fastone                now I get it. thanks!

[Jun 12, 2011 9:14:10 PM EDT]    fastone                make perfect sense.

[Jun 12, 2011 9:15:53 PM EDT]    ChopStockTrader             the first ones I learned to watch were the stocks on 52s on momo and with pre hits

[Jun 12, 2011 9:16:04 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive yup

[Jun 12, 2011 9:16:05 PM EDT]    fastone                ok

[Jun 12, 2011 9:16:21 PM EDT]    InvestorsLive pull backs

[Jun 12, 2011 9:22:09 PM EDT]    ChopStockTrader             on pre action…when we get to 6ish stocks. I am usually watching the bid/ask on these to see if people are hitting the ask and also what the spread in pre is doing.

[Jun 12, 2011 9:22:32 PM EDT]    ChopStockTrader             what are you guys doing

[Jun 12, 2011 9:22:34 PM EDT]    Laura temps, I can send you some screen shots of how to set up stockfetcher
